I mean we are used to see truck-like alt modes for OP(Convoy) and not
a sportscar like GT-R...
IMO even Dodge RAM wasn't a vehicle big enough to be OP's alt mode(Alternators series)...

Alternity hasn't even gotten started yet, and already it seems to be a line of repaints.
I want DIFFERENT Transformers: not just the same one painted in 31 flavors.

This does not look like an actual production model shot of the Super Black edition.
It looks like a picture of the red color with a grey or black filter over it.
I compared it to this same angle shot of the red Convoy/Prime car and it in fact is the same picture used in this post.
Besides wouldn't "Super Black" be super black and not super grey!?

Repainting is far cheaper then creating new molds.

"Black Convoy" = Nemesis Prime, while this is Convoy/Optimus Prime powered up.

Takara dose that with ever black repaint they release, they just take the promo shots of the original version and put a black filter on them, which they also do for most of the box art.

WolfDawg wrote:Awesome...so there's still hope that this guy will have red windows! I figured it was just the silver prime with a black filter. I think they did that with the black and white mickey mouse TF too.
Wouldn't red windows give him more of a Nemesis Prime look? This is supposed to be Optimus himself.

I just posted this under a review but realized it should be here.
Here is what I think the "Super Black" version might look like...

Looks nice. Too bad it doesn't come out till the summer or I'd maybe have gone with this one over the red. The fig is probably too spendy to buy a second in black and I don't think I'm patient enough to wait for it. Red it is...

Nice, I just preordered a Super Black version today. Of course, my patience may wear out and I might just get a red instead. I'm looking forward to some actual production shots of the figure but this is a good "teaser" shot, better than that fake photoshopped image.

To me, patience always works best with these things since once you have it in hand it's like you never waited at all
