@l3x of The Energon Pub has posted what appears to be the first image of the Alternators Mirage announced today at BOTCON. The image is clearly of a prototype possible showcased at BOTCON, and you can clearly see it transforms into a Ford GT40. See the image here.

Yep, that's right folks. Hasbro will release their own Dark Liger Jack. But they named him different, Nemesis Leobreaker! He is being showcased at BotCon 2005.

JRS Toyworld got the infomation from a seller at BotCon. However there are no details yet on this guy. See his original post here at The Allspark.

P.Prime from TFW2005 has received a new figure from Hasbro's Commemoratie Series (aka re-issue). He received the black and white version of Astrotrain! The weird thing is, that this series would be cancelled or paused.. But Astrotrain did appear at the San Diego BotCon last year.

Could this mean that Hasbro's re-issue line will continue? More to follow, incl. pics....

Tim Finn of the Allspark has posted on this thread that Rhino Entertainment has delayed the release of the upcoming DVD boxset. There has been no official word from Rhino as yet though. As ever, time will tell as to whether this is true.

SilverBulletComics.com report that it was revealed at Baltimore Comicon that Transformers Legend and Deaths Head co-creator Simon Furman will write Marvels revamp of Deaths Head due to premire in Amazing Fantasy #16.
The news article reads:

Amazing Fantasy will introduce new characters, including the new Death's Head 3.0 by original creator Simon Furman (#16-20). Each issue will have 22 pages, plus an added 8 page backup story.

Seibertron.com member ionacus has informed us that this new info about future Transformer releases will be revealed in the upcoming Toy Fare:

- The Wal*Mart exclusive deluxes (as yet unconfirmed) will include Mini-con Tiny Tins.
- The KB exclusive Micromaster Railbots are slated for a November release along with the Tiny Tins.

Pictures of Cybertron Brakedown, Galvatron, Undermine, Evac and Sideways will also be in it.

SEIBERTRON.com user Mulla has informed us that Transfan2 has posted a gallery of the Beast Wars 10th Anniversary Waspinator toy at tfans.com. Waspinator is painted in show-accurate colors! Even though the rumored Beast Wars anniversary line hasn't been officially announced yet, it looks like it may become reality very soon.

Our friends over at the allspark have dug up some tidbits of what IDW, who will now release Transformers comics, may have in store for us in the future.

-They are in talks with McDonough and Patyck. Not only that but they're looking to talk to many old school TF writers, not just Furman. Budiansky was brought up.
- Dreamwave TF artists are not being ignored. They want as much TF talent on this as possible and they're being instructed to go with their own style. They want as many different takes on this as possible.
- Don has already finished the first issue of Beast Wars.
- They do indeed want to finish the DW continuity but they simply can't until everything is out of the courts. For the time being those stories are untouchable.
- Except the trades already published! They want to keep those on teh racks so they will be reprinting them!
- For those that expressed concerns with the new TF art do not fear. All the bitching and whining was heard and we were told that the style between issue #0 and #1 will be very different. Same artist, just more technical detail.
- That doesn't mean DW style over-detailing. They don't want to repeat any of the DW mistakes.
- Size shifting is here to stay.
- They're looking to do a retelling of the movie from top to bottom. It sounds like it'll be in it's own continuity.

TFW2005.com has in-package images of Universe Overbite & Repugnus, who are redecos of BWII Hellscream and BW Buzzclaw respectively. What's surprising is that even though Repugnus is an homage to the G1 Monsterbot of the same name, he is now a Decepticon! You can view the images here.
