... on the other side of the ocean. Since the webmaster´s got his hands full with a big new project so secret that even my sources don´t know about it, I´m free to bring you this HIGHLY EDITORIALIZED tidbit. Have you noticed that the Armada cartoon lacks a little thing that I´d like to call "quality"? Well, it seems that quite a bit of "quality" has been ADDED to the japanese release of the series? You´re probably thinking, "Whatchu talkin´ ´bout, Smooth?" Well allow me to show you.
Be warned, if you HATE Armada, this
link will most likely amplify that hatred
That´s right folks. All those animation errors that so royally upset us? Gone! Fixed! REMOVED! The poorly animated segments? DELETED AND RE-DRAWN! Hasbro bashers can claim this as yet ANOTHER victory.

The release of what may be the most anticipated Transformers figure of all time is nearly upon us. Both Hasbro and Takara plan to release their figures (Hasbro´s 20 Anniversary Optimus Prime and Takara´s Masterpiece Convoy) within a few weeks of each other. Rumors have been flying about these figures since the first images were shown months ago. Before you make the decision on which version you´re going to buy, consider what we DON´T know for sure:
We DON´T know if Takara´s version will have the shortened smokestacks. The original pieces that were seen (prototypes, test shots, etc) had long stacks. However, subsequent test shots had shortened stacks. Supposedly, some leaked Takara versions also sport the so-called "castrated stacks" as well. Hasbro designer, Aaron Archer, recently said that it was Hasbro´s goal to have both company´s smokestacks appear the same. It´s possible that Hasbro may have requested Takara emasculate their stacks as well.
We DON´T know if the Takara version will have the "battle damage" paint applications. We KNOW Hasbro´s will, but recent leaked test shots (supposedly of Takara´s MP Convoy) also sport battle damage.
We DON´T know either company´s plans for the package design. We know that Hasbro plans to package the figure in a window box in robot mode, but beyond that, it´s remained a mystery.
The bottom line is, despite the efforts of many of us online, there´s surprisingly few hard facts on this figure (even though it´s release is scheduled for next month). None of the rumors surrounding it have been solidly confirmed or denied.
If you´re a fan of Takara´s reissues, your choice has been made easier by the generous offer from Action-HQ.com. Under their deal, both Hasbro´s and Takara´s versions of the figure are within a few dollars of each other. Check out the main page of SEIBERTRON.com for more details on this offer.

Pictures of Energon´s Megatron appeared today. As usual, some fans thought it was great, and some fans complained about every possible aspect of it (what else is new?). But everyone was asking "What´s the deal with that tank thing he comes with?" Now, if Hasbro hadn´t made it very clear that I can´t show you guys unfinished prototypes, this would be simple, BUT, instead I´ve got to verbally explain.
Megatron includes a small tank that´s a dead-ringer for Armada Megatron/Galvatron´s tank mode. It´s not clear if it´s able to Transform or not. Without giving anything away, it might have something to do with the interesting way Armada ended...

There are pictures floating around of a Micron Legend Ultra Magnus (Overload in the US) done up in Translucent plastic. It´s similar to the Fire Convoy from the "God Fire Convoy Giftset" Takara released towards the end of their Car Robots series. And with good reason, this figure will be released in a giftset with the figure that Americans know a Powerlinx Optimus Prime. The name of the combined robot is Super Super Mode Convoy.
Edit: This is definately NOT a Hasbro product, so check out the
picture!

UPDATE: Close inspection of the prototype reveals that this one´s not true.
Rumor has it that Energon´s Jetfire figure will feature the sound effect originally used in Armada´s Overload figure. The G1 Transforming sound effect.
Smooth Note: OK, it´s in the toy, great, now how about using it ON THE SHOW?!?!

It has been revealed that Masterpiece Convoy has a mouth hidden behind its faceplate. The mouth more closely resembles the G2 Comics battle-scarred Prime, than the speaker hidden beneath the G1 Optimus´ facemask (from G1 issue 76). Since the picture that shows this could be classified as a prototype, I can´t show it here, sorry...

Remember when Fight Super Robot Life ended and was continued in Transformers: 2010? Some of our old favorites returned, a host of new ´bots fought for our attention, and the human children had all grown up. Looks like Energon´s children will undergo the same transformation. Not only will Rad and Alexis return for TF:Energon, but look for them to have married and had a child! It´s possible that the child is the new human character "Kicker" that Dreamwave´s writers have mentioned.

Tformers.com
posted some days ago a low resolution pic of the Transformers G1 V2 # 6 incentive
cover, in the cover you could see The "white prime" breaking free from
his armor, a very interesting cover of something that we´ve never seen.
Tfw2005
posted a hight resolution pic of this cover
here.
As a side note Rumors said that this is only is limited to 2000 prints only, maybe
the Smooth One
will tells us more about it soon.
