Another Interview with Josh Duhamel has popped up on the net. While still promoting his new film Turistas,
TV Guide caught up with the actor. In the
interview Duhamel also reveals a little bit about his character and his part in the
Transformers Movie, when they meet a character he refers to as 'Vortex'.
"He's the captain of the special-ops team when we first encounter Vortex, who incinerates their base. The six of us get out alive and try to get communication back to the U.S. to tell them what's going on. We then try to figure out how to beat these things".
"Everything was shot, like, out in the desert or in downtown L.A. I don't know how they did it, but I was expecting a lot more green screen than we did".

About.com snatched up another interview with a star from the upcoming
Transformers Movie! This time they caught up with Josh Duhamel, as they talked about his next movie, the horror-thriller flick,
Turistas. But on the second page of the interview, the topic was shifted to
Transformers
"He [Shia LaBeouf]
didn't have to carry a big gun, though. He just had like his jeans and a sweat top and tennis shoes. We had like full army gear the whole time. But he worked. He's the lead of the movie. He's the one who was there more than anybody. It's definitely a pretty taxing movie, too"

For the Emilio Estevez dramatic film Bobby, actors Shia LaBeouf and Brian Geraghty were
interviewed by
About.com. At the
end of the interview (4 pages), LaBeouf talks about working on Transformers and being directed by Michael Bay. Also confirming that he has been contracted for Transformers 2 and 3.
"To go from Emilio Estevez to Michael Bay is like walking out of, you know, like in a hammock in the sky, hanging out drinking Pina Coladas with Jesus and then getting smacked in the face and thrown in the devil’s s**pile and having to make a movie. I swear to God"

The momentum that the
Dreamworks Transformers Movie is slowly gaining is apparent with yet another interview that has popped up with the voice of Optimus Prime, Peter Cullen. This time
NewsOK.com have taken to
interview the voice actor veteran. The article goes on about Cullen's appreciation for the fans and about his role in the new movie.
"(The filmmakers) were thinking more Hollywood big names. They did start to consider the original voice actors because of the enthusiasm and the ... stubbornness of the fan base. God, I'm grateful for those guys".
He was asked to read a scene with Optimus Prime and Ironhide, a gutsy Autobot who was a close friend of Prime's, also played by Cullen in the original series.
"The script assistant was there, and she started reading for Ironside, I said, ‘Excuse me, dear, do you mind if I read it?' Because I actually played this character.'" Cullen completed the read-through reading for both characters.
Supplemental:
Another interview with Peter Cullen has appeared on yet another site. This time
The Fort Wayne Journal Gazette went face to face with the veteran Voice Actor. This will mark the
third interview with Peter Cullen this month, as far as we have found this far!
"If a kid gets excited, it’s probably not because of me unless he’s seen reruns. I think pretty much it’s people my daughter’s age, which would be mid-20s-to-mid-30s. It always amazes me and I am humbled by it. I never realized the impact Optimus Prime had".

Fellow transformers site
The Energon Plant has interviewed David Cian, one of the writers of the Transformers novels a few year back. In the
interview, Cian talks about how he got into writing as well as talking about his upcoming novel, which is the prequel to the
Transformers Movie currently in post-production, called 'Ghosts Of Yesterday'.
"I knew that the movie was coming out and that it was likely there was going to be at least one book. I kept talking about it with the people involved and when the opportunity was available, my agent got in touch with the publisher who had been planning on contacting me anyway. It worked out nicely for everyone, I think".

Frank Welker, best known to most of us as the voice of G1 Megatron, is profiled in an interview by the
Belleville News Democrat. The
article is mostly about how the master voice actor rolled into voice acting. No real mention of Transformers, but still a good read for any fan of his work.

With the comic book adaptation of Transformers: The Animated Movie being released this week for its 20th anniversary,
Wizard Entertainment Group took this time and
interview the comic's writer, Bob Budiansky and penciller Don Figueroa.
Budiansky
"I think the basic concept of living robots has a lot of appeal. The fact that they can change into all sorts of weapons and devices puts them at a level beyond humans. In other words, the transforming concept is cool, but if your next-door neighbor turned into a Buick it would look kinda silly—but it works really well when a robot does it. People can accept that. Plus, add the eternal conflict that the Transformers are locked in, and their ever-expanding mythology, and you have a very rich playground of ideas to run around in. But that’s just from a story point of view. Hasbro’s been putting out some great toys over the years as well".
Figueroa
"It’s a fan’s dream! I tried to stay as true to the original, even adapting my style a bit to that of the cartoon, but not totally copying it frame by frame. It’s such a classic that I really didn’t want to mess with it visually too much".
