FIRST EVER TRANSFORMERS CYBERTRON CON IN SOUTHEAST ASIA
Hasbro to ‘Roll Out’ programmes to engage TRANSFORMERS fans of all ages

Singapore, 1 February 2012 – TRANSFORMERS mania is expected to hit a new high in Singapore and the region, with renowned branded play company, Hasbro (Singapore), and Singapore’s first integrated resort, Resorts World Sentosa (‘RWS’), jointly announcing that the RESORTS WORLD SENTOSA SINGAPORE TRANSFORMERS CYBERTRON CON 2012 (‘Cybertron Con’) will be coming to Singapore this year, a first for Southeast Asia.

Held at the Resorts World Convention Centre from 11 to 14 March 2012, TRANSFORMERS Cybertron Con will be a TRANSFORMERS brand extravaganza for fans, with different exhibits and activities that promise to bring smiles from the neophytes to even the most avid TRANSFORMERS collectors and hobbyists.

Appearing at the convention will be Mr. Hideaki Yoke, who has built up a substantial fan following in his role as the lead designer of TRANSFORMERS figures in Takara Tomy.

“Following the TRANSFORMERS Cybertron Con’s successful inaugural convention in Shanghai in 2010, Hasbro Singapore is thrilled to share the hugely popular TRANSFORMERS brand with fans in Singapore and around the region. With the recent launch of TRANSFORMERS The Ride, and TRANSFORMERS: Dark of the Moon becoming the fourth highest grossing movie of all time at the global box office, it is a fantastic opportunity to bring this tremendous TRANSFORMERS event to Resorts World Sentosa, a destination resort that is very popular with tourists from the region” said Mr. Harland Chun, Senior Vice President & General Manager, Asia Pacific, Hasbro Singapore.

Together, RWS and Hasbro (Singapore) will help bring the global TRANSFORMERS phenomenon to fans in the region, and inject vibrancy into the tourism sector as the integrated resort continues to bring in world-class attractions and events.

Paying tribute to the popular entertainment brand that has taken the world by storm through its animated TV series, comic book and movie franchise, the convention will feature an extensive display of TRANSFORMERS toys; cartoon animation and video games! The event will also highlight previously unreleased artwork, as well as workshops for aspiring designers.

To showcase the history of the brand, Hasbro will present an extensive collection of historical TRANSFORMERS items from throughout the brand’s 27 year history via a visually stunning exhibit. The exhibit will take fans through the chronological progression of the TRANSFORMERS brand, beginning with the classic ‘Generation 1’ era. As fans proceed through, they will be able to view extensive artwork and information about characters and stories from different eras of the brand from ‘Beast Wars’ to the most recent entertainment blockbuster movie and current ‘Transformers Prime’ animated series produced by Hasbro Studios.

Other than the historical retrospective, TRANSFORMERS Cybertron Con will feature a wide variety of displays, interactive experiences and special events. TRANSFORMERS brand leaders and designers will also be in attendance to meet with fans and attend special events and panel discussions.

Other special events and exhibits will include:

Panel Sessions with special guest, Mr. Hideaki Yoke and TRANSFORMERS brand experts from Hasbro;
A 22-foot tall OPTIMUS PRIME character statue, one of the largest TRANSFORMERS statues ever;
TRANSFORMERS drawing classes by top Hasbro artists (at select times);
Three-dimensional action figure dioramas capturing scenes from popular TRANSFORMERS entertainment including the blockbuster movies;
National ‘Fastest Fingers First’ Challenge, testing convention goers’ skills at converting TRANSFORMERS action figures from “robot” to “vehicle” modes.

Convention-goers can also expect to receive limited edition 2012 TRANSFORMERS Cybertron Con souvenirs while supplies last, and see premium TRANSFORMERS collectibles. Hasbro will also display the latest line of TRANSFORMERS toys and products which will be available for purchase during the convention.

Tickets for the convention are priced at $12 for a Day Pass and $68 for a four-day VIP Pass. To complete the TRANSFORMERS experience, a special 3D2N TRANSFORMERS Cybertron Con The Epic Battle Package – comprising hotel accommodation, a pair of one-day passes to Universal Studios Singapore, admission to the TRANSFORMERS Cybertron Con 2012, and the Maritime Experiential Museum & Aquarium (MEMA) – has also been rolled out. Guests making reservations before 1 March 2012 will enjoy S$100 off the regular price of S$988. The Battle Pass, consisting tickets to Universal Studios Singapore and Cybertron Con, are also available at $77 (Adult), $62 (Child) and $48 (Senior Citizen).

Profile: Truly a waste of good dairy air. Cosmoo is the biggest moocher what roams the fields of Dairyland. Always borrowing money, weapons, energon, tools, grills, silverware, CDs, lawn chairs, etc and never returns them. No one knows where he actually lives in Dairyland, because he is always living off someone else. He shows up at all the Dairyland parties and functions, eats everything up, and leaves.

Abilities: Able to talk anybody out of anything. Excellent con man with great negotiation skills. He has heff-mounted weapons that he never paid for. Rumor is that they are aftermarket knock offs. Excellent poker player and fish cook.

Weaknesses: Due to lazy life style and over consumption, he has put on a lot of weight. Behind on his rent, credit card payments, and owes everyone in Dairyland something. His short, portly, inactive physique makes him produce excessive amounts of menthane, causing a bad body odor. Allies and adversaries alike keep their distance. Bad dresser. Since he has lived off the Dairyland's public dole, he has no actual experience with anything. He likes getting together with Steers and Heffer, and tell big lies about how good he used to be.

Like BARN, and the previous Neo Knight Reveal, Cosmoo will be an Exclusive at the Dairycon Convention.

Artists are sculpting the giant robot from a 16-meter (about 53-foot) snow mound. Construction crews began piling snow on January 6, started work on the character’s head on January 10, and raised trusses to continue sculpting Optimus last Thursday.

Jake is a outstanding inker that has worked on almost every type of character imaginable. He has inked giant transformering robots, elite miitary characters, zombies and so much more. Jake was also the primary artist on the first Slagacon comic book. Jake will be at Slagacon 2012 co-hosting the artist panel with Will Mangin and other artists. He will also have his own booth at Slagacon 2012 as well as signing autographs during the autograph sessions. They have been simplified over previous leaders so the core audience of children can transform them more easily.

3) Optimus Maximus - bases make a return to the line with Maximus, a large scale Cyberverse Playset which doubles a fully transforming figure and base for your Cyberverse figures. Featuring light and sound features, firing rockets and launching vehicle this guy was fairly imposing standing somewhere in between Ultimate Op and a regular Leader Class figure. It looked quite bare without any Cyberverse figures locked in but you could see the gun turrets just waiting to be armed by you min faves.

2) Bot Shots which is actually a really cool battle game which mixes Bakugan with rock, paper scissors, aside from the single pack figures there are Launchers, Ultimate Packs and 3 packs the idea being 2 figures are thrown together in vehicle mode than collide revealing the winning symbol.

Transformers Prime First Edition will not be hitting UK shelves in anyway shape or form, Cliffjumper and Bumblebee were on display but display is as far as they appear to be going.

Kre-O

New Kre-O sets were on display including the following

1) Decepticon Ambush - 4 Kreon pack with small accessories and a base to battle on

2) Cycle Chase - Prowl and 2 of his troops face off against a Decepticon, again comes with small accessory set and base

3) Kre-O Decepticon Helicopter - the robot with no name looks a lot like Starscream in robot mode and is yellow and red, comes with 3 Kreons and quad bike

4) Kre-O Stealth Bumblebee - new mold Bumblebee comes in black with 3 Kreons and what looks like the checkpoint from DOTM

5) Transformers Prime Kre-O Race Car Showdown - Knock Out and Wheeljack face off in this 2 pack each with the standard Kreons mini figure.

6) Kre-O Optimus Vs Megatron - G1 style set featuring an all new Optimus Prime vs G1 style Megatron who changes into a tank and not a walther comes with mini building and 3 kreons.

7) Kre-O Devastator - 9 in 1 playset - a mix of G1 style robots and movie tradition means you get 4 standard robots in movie Devy colours building seperate vehicles or the might Devastator - for those worried no he doesn't look anything like the hulking movie character. Comes with a slew of Kreons and construction environment.
