If you haven't been around all day then you are probably quite shocked to see the changes that have taken place to Heavy Metal War. Some of the immediate changes are the new look of the Registry page and the ability to view your team's profile.

But don't take my word for it, have a look around for yourself, and be sure to test your skills (and your energon) against the elements in the new Heavy Metal War: Battle Beasts game.

We believe that the repair function is -for lack of a better word- repaired now so we will be re-implementing the tactic shortly.

UPDATE: Due to v1.8 being released so soon repair will be returned in that version.

From the Focus Spotlight on the main page: Glyph has been hard at work making many changes and improvements to the very popular Heavy Metal War game. These changes will be unveiled in early November along with a brand new tournament called "The Return to Agorahex". If you haven't played in a while, now might be a good time to warm up your 'bots!

Check out the Heavy Metal War Forum where fellow players have been speculating about what new features this tournament might include.

Repair tactic removed

A heads-up for those that have repairers in their teams: they don't do their jobs anymore.
It is believed that repairers were the reason behind the recent site slow down and subsequently the game going offline so that function has been removed until a suitable alternative can be found.

Whether that involes a re-introduction of the retreat function or another, different tactic to replace it we are not sure at this point.
But until we do the game is running and the site is not showing the lag it was before.

As always, we will try to keep you up to date with any developments, but be sure to check into the Heavy Metal War Forum for updates or announcements that haven't been posted on this page yet.

Weapon bug and character rankings fixed

As some folks have noticed, the weapons bug has now been fixed, so equip your guns and join the fight!

The rankings box on the character profile page has also been updated to use and link to the new high score table!

Soundburn has announced in this thread that the team names function is operational again.
After testing it myself I can confirm this to be correct.

I just resolved a major server issue yesterday that I will be making sure to keep an eye on. This "change" made a huge improvement in the server's performance and it seems to have continued today so far.

Hopefully this will help the game and the rest of the site live together in harmony, unlike the bots featured in Heavy Metal War. Keep your fingers crossed, and if you have anything you would like to discuss please visit the Discussion Board.

I have sent several private messages as well as e-mails to various players regarding innapropriate names. And these names are very innapropriate for a PG-13 site.

I have given plenty of warning both on the message board and on this page right here thatI was going to deal with people who did not change their names.

I'm sure that some of you have noticed that you do not access to your accounts anymore. If you look into your private message box you will see a PM from me. But some of you have also used e-mail accounts that are inactive.

If you cannot get into your private messages and you are sure that you never received an e-mail from me then e-mail me at maximusprime@seibertron.com and I will see what i can do.

I have given more than enough warning about some of these names and to date not one has been changed.
I'm sure that you know who you are by now.
