Even though a reissue of this figure doesn´t seem to be in the cards for US fans (thank you very much toy safety standards!) Hasbro did at one time plan to release a repaint for the Robots in Disguise line. This, you already know. But, did you know that Hasbro may have been planning to release it in a completely different colorscheme? Could you picture Fort Max in a yellow, gold, and midnight blue colorscheme? The results aren´t pretty, I assure you. A picture of a Fort Max in similar colors recently popped up on Ebay, but there´s been no hard evidence that this isn´t just a kitbash. I hope to bring you more info on this in the very near future, so keep ´em glued to this page!

Prototype and Test Shot images of Energon figures have leaked. Due to various legal crap that I don´t feel like going into, I´m prohibited from posting these pictures. You guys deserve to at least know what´s coming your way, so I´m gonna drop some info on ya.
-Prowl: That´s right, everyone´s favorite police car is back in Energon! Except he´s not a police car anymore! He´s a slick Formula-1 Racer! His transformation is similar to Starscream´s Mini-Con, Swindle. the figure´s head does resemble G1´s Prowl, though.
-"Snowcat:" We don´t have a definate name for this figure yet, but as the name implies, the vehicle mode resembles a GI:Joe Snowcat. In robot mode the figure shares Energon Optimus Prime´s portly torso and skinny legs. One version of the prototype had both Autobot and Decepticon insignias. The head is insect like, best compared the G1´s Roadbuster.
-Rodimus: Rodimus Returns! Rodimus´ alt mode is a hot-rodding bottle-nosed truck. Thing G2´s Hero Prime with a spoiler (Remember kids, everything on wheels needs a spoiler to be cool. No exceptions!). In his robot mode, the head and chest scream "G1 Rodimus Prime" except he has Optimus´ "ab grill" on his lower torso. He has shoulders similar to Armada Blurr´s.
-Cruellock, Landmine, and Signal Flare: I have yet to see a picture of these figures, but they´re listed on the list of upcoming figures. As soon as I´ve seen ´em, their descriptions will be up here on the rumor page!

You probably already know that Dirge is getting the re-issue treatment in the coming months, but did you know that test shots of Ramjet have made their way out of a Hasbro plant? It´s true. Looks like ol´ Hasbro´s planning to reissue another Conehead. If they go through with these plans, expect a Conehead Seeker to be released in each of the next three waves of commemorative reissues, as Thrust can´t be far behind...

A little while back, we reported that another "Super Pants" Optimus Prime variant was going to be released. This time, the figure would feature gold paint in place of red on the cab. Today, we bring you the rest of the story on this item. The figure is a part of the K-Mart exclusive multi-pack that was first announced at OTFCC. In addition to the Golden Prime, fans will also get Jetfire in its original Armada colors (despite being advertised on the box itself as "Powerlinx Jetfire) along with the Adventure team and the original colored Sparkplug and Commetor. The set is expected to retail for around $70. Fans, if you´d been waiting to pick up Powerlinx Optimus Prime and Jetfire in this set, looks like you´re outta luck.

At OTFCC, Hasbro reps assured fans that their 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime figure would remain faithful to the animation model. However, it now seems that there´s an above average chance that the figure will indeed be coming up short, if you catch my drift. Hopefully, I´ll have definate confirmation on this in the next day or so. Keep ´em glued to the Rumor Page for any updates on this (and many other) rumor!

Today, we learned the full storyline behind the Alternators/Binaltech toyline. Basically, the Decepticons use Cosmic Rust to basically wipe out the Autobots. As a last ditch attempt to save the Autobots (and that planet we all live on, Earth), humans decide to create their own Transformers. Car companies put out the funding for the project. Once completed, the sparks of damaged Autobots are implanted into the new Earth Made Binaltech bodies and the fight continues!
Shortly after we learned this, several questions made their way to my inboxes and IM windows. Most of which can be summed up in these two questions:
Does this mean there won´t be any Alternator Decepticons?
Does this mean it ties into the G1 universe?
Hopefully, answers will be forthcoming. Keep ´em glued the Rumors Page for updates on this, and other TF items!

Do you know what the worst part about the Armada toyline is? There just aren´t enough repaints! Sure, there´s a couple repaints of the smaller figures, but how come we only got a chance to buy the $40 Optimus Prime three times? It was nice to get it the first time, we jumped at the chance to pick up the re-molded version that allowed us to move the shoulders, and everyone loves Powerlinx Prime, but simply spending $120 dollars on the same figure isn´t enough! Sure, there´s Takara´s "Lucky Draw (Bling Bling) Golden Convoy" but owning one of those is just a pipe dream to most fans. Well, complain no longer, it seems there´s another Armada Prime on the way! This time, it´s the EXACT SAME FIGURE as the 2nd release, but with GOLD paint instead of red! There´s no word (yet) on if this figure will be released by Hasbro or Takara, but since the variation is "gold" in color, it´ll probably be really limited and really expensive!

It appears that Optimus Prime will be appearing in a Japanese Konami videogame with a theme similar to Smash Brothers. The game (who´s title translates to "Dreammix TV World Fighters") has a Flash Animation
Teaser available online.
