Oh wow. I almost feel like we're going to get to Trypticon levels of cheap. I'm genuinely surprised they keep on doing the titans when so many of them seem to end up on clearance sales

It was a mistake on two fronts:

1) Putting out a Metroplex but not the much loved and highly sought after Autobot city version

2) Putting it on the shelf at a ridiculously high price to start with

I'm normally a complete titan junkie and will be pouncing on Nemesis when she arrives. But this miner Metroplex never appealed to me in the original released or the upscaled version as I have no emotional connection to it as a child of the 80s UK comics, and I doubt anyone was willing to pay the full £199.99 original shelf price as a must have buy.

Imho more than two fronts,

I had the original Cyb Metroplex and spent way less on a complete toy that had more features and cross play (minicon, ports, electronics and weapon for Prime). I never really got into the toon like I did armada/energon but the older version is a better toy to me, which takes up less space with out feeling too small, means I wont be picking up one of these no matter how low it goes.

I might cave on Nemesis as it doesnt look like it needs upgrades out of the box.

Just a slight update, Armada Optimus and SS86 Snarl will be making their appearances in Smyths stores from Thursday. Currently, there's no weblisting for prime but hopefully will be one soon.
Here's the link for Snarl;

And this will be the link for Prime;

Hi @CyclonusG1, do you happen to know whether The Nemesis is coming to Smyths at all or is she an Amazon exclusive in the UK please?

Currently we have no stock listing for her. Personally, I get the feeling that Smyths are considering whether it is worth selling given how many of the titans released have ended up on clearance at significant discounts—in some cases being sold off for less than the price they paid Hasbro for the stock. I check new additions to the system every shift I'm in so I can track release info for certain products, I'll keep an eye out though and update if there's any info

Hi, just an update on this. I emailed our buyer to enquire about this and they have confirmed that Smyths will be stocking the Nemesis. However, it does seem that lower sales of previous titans has affected it as we will be stocking lower numbers than usual this year and it will only physically be in selected stores which likely means that the majority of stock will go through the website. I don't currently have any reference number for it that I can use to generate a weblink for when we have it but just thought you'd at least appreciate knowing we'll be getting it in

That's excellent news, thanks for taking the time to look into that!

I was in the Milton Keynes store the other day and the shelf space for Transformers is very congested with Legacy, ROTB, Earthspark and Studio all crammed into quite a narrow shelf gap. I look forward to seeing Nemesis dominating a top shelf :)

Yeah, I've been to the Milton Keynes store before to do some training and it always seems to have very congested shelves. We have 2 full bays so we can have facings for every item. I imagine you'll get Nemesis in Milton Keynes as they're a high sales store

For those interested, Nemesis has now landed in Smyths stores. As previously reported, this will not be every store and will only be in small quantities. As usual, the webteam have yet to update the website with a listing

Thank you!
As the shelf sticker doesn't have it and the website doesn't have a listing yet....

I'm sitting down now, ready. What's the price please? :D

I'm in shock, that actually compares fairly well to the online stores and much better value than the recent metroplex!

Oh definitely. I, personally, still feel it's a bit much (even with 10% staff discount) but it does feel more value than Metroplex

dunno about the more value than metroplex thing, Nemesis £70 more, no electronics, no figure with it and only two things that are kinda maybe weapons, one less mode.

Will be interesting to see what/if reissue TR fort max price point is in the uk. Also with it being the third/fourth/fith titan to be reissued it seems not rushing and waiting for price drops isn't as chancey when chances of missing out are lower.

Stopped by Smyths Stevenage on my work route, can confirm there is a Nemesis at £219 and Armada Prime at £91 in the store.

I may wait a while as £200 for a toy is pushing it bit for me when I have no storage space for what I currently have, much less a new titan.

Didn't think I'd be back with another update so soon but given the Smyths website will probably take a month to update any listings, I thought I'd let you all know about the new wave of Legacy Deluxes and Voyagers that came in today. I believe it was the entire wave but my co-workers had only put a few cases out at the time, all that's missing is Leader Dreadwing

Smyths currently doing a £6 off £50 / £12 off £100 spend until Saturday 14th.
Annoyingly Titan Nemesis is still not showing on the website otherwise it'd be an online order going in for me. It's about £8 in fuel to get to my nearest Smyths store and back so not worth it if it's not guaranteed to be on the shelf :(

I had to look that up because I was like "are we? That's news to me". Nice of them to let staff know but yes we are doing discounts on purchases. Like with previous ones, there's no voucher or anything it will just automatically get discounted on the till/website.
I have made the webteam aware, multiple times, that they are missing web listings for new transformers. It seems to be the only brand which gets delayed listings. But most stores should have Armada Prime, Nemesis and, as of the weekend, Leader Dreadwing is now in stores too. Depending on the store, they may let you set aside the item for you to come in store and pay, especially if the item isn't available for click and collect but many stores won't have the space to store them.
