Canada Transformers Sightings Roundup with Galaxy Shuttle, Legacy Wave 3 and SS Crosshairs Wave

Looks like shelves will be full this holiday season in Canadian Walmarts with lots of new product finally coming in. Galaxy Shuttle was found in several Ontario Walmarts as was the latest wave of Studio Series deluxes, the one including Crosshairs and TLK Hot Rod. Toysrus has restocked on the sought after Buzzworthy SS 86 Cliffjumper and Kup and now has the Legacy wave 3 deluxes (EB Games has been getting preorders in for Wave 3 deluxes as well). And it's that time of year where pharmacies stock up on toys too, so wave 2 deluxes from Legacy have even been found at Jean Coutu locations in Quebec.

There's a few Black Friday deals at Amazon.ca that are "better than noting", but THE sale not to miss is Kingdom Leader T-Wrecks for CHEAPER THAN A DELUXE at Walmart.ca:

https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/transforme ... FD91R3PHQR

I initially skipped that repaint but at that price? Gimme!

ARGGH!
And there I was, browsing the website to find something else to add to my basket to have free shipping. Granted, I posted the news AFTER I completed my purchase but still, I played with fire then...

Speaking of best deals gone, Walmart.ca should clean up their pages and tell that the thing is sold out upfront instead of days after the fact. That T-Wrecks must have blue-balled many fans...

At least I could secure a Vintage Beast Wars Wolfang before it was gone.

No sale, full 36$ deluxe price with free shipping. But compared to buying it on eBay, that's still a win.

It's X-Mass season at Marshall's and Winners so here's what I found:

At Winners, I only found Voyager SS86 Wreck-Garr and the Studio Series Bee Movie Thrust for 40$.

Marshall's have those same voyagers at the same price but they also have:
Vintage BW Cheetor and Rattrap at 17$.
X-Men X-Panse at 70$ (still not worth it.)
Dracula at 40$, which is the best price since the clearance at GameStop.

Let me know if you find anything else that is interesting!

Soloing this thread again to report that the Joe Bee is at TrU. Of course, they sell it for 20$ more than the competition.

Transformers Legacy Scraphook, Needlenose, Deadend, Skullgrin and More at 40% Off on Walmart.ca

We can all agree Black Friday was a real dud this year for Transformers toys. Boxing week is looking a lot better already, if you're Canadian. Not only are the wave 3 Legacy deluxes on sale but so are the Legacy Evolution wave 1 toys. And it's a whopping 40% off sale, bringing deluxes down to $21 CAD, which is around $15 USD. These are all preorders though with the wave 3 deluxes shipping Jan 1 and the Legacy Evolution Wave 1 deluxes shipping March 1. FYI, to get the sale price, you have to order the toy from the search page rather than the actual individual product's page as this seems to be an early boxing week sale that is materializing.

We thank Onslaught from the Cybertron.ca boards for the news and screenshots.

I had to create a new account on the fly to make sure I don't miss out on some of these deals. Classic deluxe prices are hard to resist, even on some that I planned to skip like Needlenose.

Ordered Hot Shot, Needlenose & Scrapehook. I'm just trying to complete G1 S1-S3 toon appearanced figures. Any figures outside of those seasons, it's case-by-case and must be the "Want!" category. Pointblank & Skullgrin are not.

Transformers Magnificus and Buzzworthy SS 44 Leader Optimus Prime Found in Canada

We have two new sightings for Canadian Transformers fans. The Toysrus exclusive Buzzworthy Bumblebee Studio Series 44 leader class Dark of the Moon Optimus Prime (is that the longest name a Transformers release ever had?) has been spotted at multiple Toysrus stores across the country. The SKU is 652660 if you want to call ahead of time to check if it's there and not waste a trip.

We also have news that Generations Selects Magnificus has been found at Gamestops, also widespread amongst various provinces.

The various sightings were posted on the Cybertron.ca message boards.

AT LAST!
I bet he's 90$CAN plus taxes?
Regardless, I'll hunt him down.

Not at my local TrU. I'll just have to wait.

Various Transformers Toys Skipped by Canadian Retailers Now Found at Liquidator

PostPosted: Fri Feb 24, 2023 12:04 am
by william-james88
Retail distribution for Transformers toys (and action figures in general) can be a little screwy at times. That's why online collectible retailers exist and many fans have since gravitated towards them. What is sad to see is situation like the one below where we see merchandise destined for either Walmart or Toys R Us in Canada that was never put on shelves and was instead dumped to a liquidator after rotting in a warehouse. This is of course dependent on retailer and geographic location but the final wave of Kingdom was never found on Walmart shelves in Canada. And believe it or not, Studio Series Junkheap was scarce as well and no voyager wave beyond wave 1 for the Legacy line was ever stocked in Walmarts either. Well low and behold, liquidator store locations in Canada (specifically Quebec in the example below) are now getting an influx of all those toys skipped by Walmart.

It used to be just one wave was skipped and we'd see some toys at liquidators but this is taking it to a whole other level. This is further aggravating because it shows that retailers did have new stock, which fans surely could have purchased, but never replenished shelves with it, either moving on to the next line or just leaving the shelves with the same stock all year round. The specific location below is Boom Liquidation but there are province specific liquidators all across Canada (like Treasure Hunt in Ontario) so if there is any Canadian who has missed out on the toys shown below, it could be time to visit your local liquidator chain/store as this influx shows Walmart has dumped all their old stock to make room for a lot of incoming toys like the movie line, Earthspark, ect.

This is beyond *****. Seriously. My local Walmart had their TF shelves that consist of 33% same sh!t over and over again, and 66% of EMPTY, BARE SPACE. Why is it so hard to stock up those damn shelves?

I hate Walmart for having the Velocitron line exclusive to themselves and I hate Toys R Us for having the Buzzworthy line exclusive to them. This make getting those toys in store nearly IMPOSSIBLE.

At least so far, there's my local geek store, even if I have to pay a few bucks more. Plus Amazon is reliable most of the time.

Is it the retailer dumping it to liquidators or vendors?

When I was a buyer at TRU, I never remember us selling product out of our warehouse to liquidators.

On the other hand, cancelling our orders to vendors, perhaps too late for them to do anything but dump the product, THAT I remember.

That's a lot of stock to just leave in a warehouse for months at a stretch and then farm out to liquidation stores. Did it even occur to them to at least TRY to sell these at retail and get some profit?

That's interesting, I thought TRU would buy directly from Hasbro. Or is Hasbro the vendor in your scenario?
