I apologize for the wall of text, but I have a couple interesting things. One of them I recently discovered and the other I figured out a long time ago, but I thought would be interesting to mention.

First, I recently found out (thanks to fellow siebertronian Emerje) that Titanium Series Optimus Prime's shoulders can actually lock into his torso. I had never figured that out in 13 years. His right arm used to kinda lock in place, but it was loose and mostly just sat flush with his torso. The left arm wouldn't sit flush, so I thought it was defective; turns out I just needed to push it in a bit harder. I now figure his right arm was probably the defective one, and it's now too loose to stay in place anyway, but now I can pose his left arm!

The second thing is something I discovered a long time ago and has probably been mentioned before (either in this thread or another), and it's that DotM Sideswipe seems to have the remnants of a stealth force mode. He has tabs on the insides of his forearms and slots on the underside of his bumper that fit perfectly together, but serve no other purpose. He likely had a stealth force mode planned, but was abandoned at some point in development, with these tabs being vestigial parts. Again, this has probably been found before, but I think it's interesting.

You can actually come up with some pretty cool stealth force mode possibilities just by rearranging the rest of his car panels and adding a bunch of guns.

I'm probably going to here soon

I discovered last night that the irregular hexagonal hole located between Cybertron Wing Saber's front gunbarrels is 5mm peg compatible:

Not really what a transformer can do and more like something that has gone unnoticed until now:

You all know RiD 2001 Heavy Load aka CR Build Typhoon? If anyone has him, could you please post a pic of the back of his cabin piece? I'm asking because his Universe Constructicon Long Haul redeco may have a tooling change there to deepen the screw hole.

A long, long time ago, I bought 2008 Movie Dropkick, and always thought he had long, floppy arms. When college started, I got it back out, and I realized that the arms compressed to give him more human proportions. As was mentioned, instructions are good.

I have discovered that Titans Return Overlord can use the MegaChild as a breastplate:
Image
Having learned about this (via looking up "Overlord Tera" out of curiosity), the change in the way the MegaChild detaches on him finally make sense.

Another discovery with Overlord!

You can slip the gun over the landing legs on the Megajet, giving a rough equivalent to the original toy's fold-out gun

This might not count, but Legends Dai Atlas's bottom half makes a fun... scooter? for battle/micromasters.

I just found a slightly easier way to transform Siege Omega Supreme's rocket that isn't in the instructions.

When you're going from arms to rocket, after you've closed up the central clamshell-like section, the instructions want you to collapse the forearms inwards and then close up the last of the folding hatches, which can be a bit tricky.

However, if you close those hatches before collapsing the forearms, there's a right-angled arrow on each of the forearms and a corresponding arrow on the arm itself. Line up the arrows and then collapse the forearm, then rotate the forearm in the direction of the right-angled arrow to lock it in place.

This is much easier than trying to line up the tabs on the hatch last.

Super Gobots Defendor have 5mm holes in his fists, making him compatible with standard Transformers weapons. Like a Siege Targetmaster here.

His loose arms have trouble carrying the weight of the Targetmaster, but it's workable.

One of the very few WTF moments I've had. #-o

I pulled my 2010 Deluxe Ironhide from storage and transformed him for the first time in years. I always had problems with his chest being all floppy and whatnot with nothing seemingly locking in place... until I found the notches the tabs on the wheels go into. Pure friction, yes, but it made all the difference when it provided a stable base for the hood pieces.

I got King Poseidon a few days ago.
While I liked the combiner really a lot, I wasn't totally satisfied with lefting a member of the group out of the combiner.
So, I tried to came with an alternative mode where I use Kraken as a backpack/wing module, and Overbite as left arm.
The connecion is rather simple.
You use the two pair of guns that came with Gulf and Tentakill.
Disconnect King Poseidon neck from the turtle's head, and rotate the turtle panel 180° downside, and rest it on the butt.
Extend the connection parts that are on King Poseidon torso that are normally used to connect his back cannons, as you do when you want to rotate them on the front of the torso.
Then, connect the Kraken guns to those 5mm ports.
After that, connect Gulf's guns to Tentakill's.
Finally, you connect Kraken's wings to Gulf's guns, using the lower 5mm port.
You may need to adjust Kraken's arms to the side of the manta ray's head for clearance.

I just realized that darn blue gun that comes with certain versions of Masterpiece MP-1 Optimus Prime is actually somewhat canon. It corresponds to the 2nd page of a pack-in poster included with various G1: Series 3 figures. Not that anyone particularly needed to know this...

▼ Look. Prime's got a blue gun! And Rodimus Prime is somehow there too. Seems a bit early. Take from it what you will... ▼

Never realized until last night, that the hands on mp (or at least hot rod) can actually fit 5,5 peg handle, even has notch to accomodate that.

Well, it's Classic Prime all over again.

I never knew Earthrise Leader Optimus kneepads had to be lifted up to make the truck mode more cohesive and to lock the legs more solidly under the cab. I had to start applying the REPROLABELS to discover that feature, having never looked at the instructions.

In my defence, those kneepads are way more hidden than on the Classic mold.
