If it really is a must have for me, it had better be a looooong way down the road.

Hasn't it been concluded with almost certainty that it's going to be Primus?

If so, consider it ordered. Like the new Studio cell one too.

Hmmm, fire up the engines and fill up on Energon... could be a larger scale non transforming Ark playset.

Could be, though I doubt they'd do another Ark when the last one was less than three years ago.

I can only guess at Primus, since nothing else bigger than a Titan comes to mind, and it was stated that the next HasLab after Deathsaurus wouldn't be Japanese G1.

Actually, I take that back....I could see them doing a combiner for the next HasLab. Bigger, more complex, more detail and parts in both modes to make a more solid combiner.

They could also redo Metroplex into a mold that doesn't have to be reused to make it feasible, so no compromises need to be made.

Clearly all the clues point towards Octane.

Personally I'd rather have a Cybertron playset than Primus. I don't really have a use for a giant Unicron Trilogy Primus and Cybertron didn't transform anywhere else aside from some comics so they'd have to make something super cool get me excited.

The first thing that comes to mind when I hear this is RID2001 Optimus Prime, but I don't know if that would be a big enough deal for Haslab

If we think Star Saber Fire Convoy and God Magnus combining into Deathsaurus sized God Fire Convoy AKA Omega Prime, it could work. Plus, that includes the "Omega" hint from previous notes and is technically not an Optimus.

Maybe a non-transforming Astrotrain playset that can fit your G1 Deceptions?

Yeah, this actually makes sense. I'd be down. Though tbh, I'd rather see an official Blu-ray (or DVD, since it's SD anyway) of RiD 2001/Car Robots. That's my Haslab dream. The bootlegs are rough.

That was the first thing that came to mind, but there's that whole nagging "no Optimus Prime in HasLab" rule they mentioned a while back. It would be nice if that rule changed, but is there an Optimus that they couldn't just stick in Commander Class like Armada Prime?

If they did do away with the "no OP" rule then I think Energon Prime would be the most suited to a HasLab since he could use an upgrade for articulation, has a big box of a trailer that isn't really retail friendly anymore, and could probably use a bit of slimming down to make him more appealing. That's probably not enough to take him out of the running for Commander Class, but what if they went the extra mile and packed him with Titan Energon Omega Supreme for say $300-$350? Now that would be HasLab worthy and it would satisfy some, if not all, of the "clues" (if that's what they are) like Omega, Energon, epic proportions, engine (as in train engine) and fire (he has a firetruck drone). Only thing it doesn't satisfy is the image with Primus unless you consider it a clue to being something from the Unicron Trilogy.

F'eh. I haven't seen any HasLab projects that have motivated me to invest. Generally they're too expensive, too big, too fussy. There's not enough to motivate me into giving Hasbro what amounts to a massive, two-year, interest-free loan.

Now, if they make a mea culpa announcement like: "Loyal customers: We apologize for totally screwing everything up with Deluxe Cosmos, Leader Snarl, Centurion Drone, and a bunch of other figures. We failed our customers, we failed you, we failed everybody. It was all our fault and we were a bunch of stupid, moron idiots. We hereby announce that we are making more of these figures, and promise to make enough to satisfy the demand that we artificially created because of our dumb decisions. Those figures are now available on Pulse in sufficient quantities, order now."

THAT would be an announcement worth listening to.

The "No Optimus Prime" rule was apparently just a misunderstanding.

I'm calling another super deluxe, mega-detailed G1 Optimus Prime. Can't see this being Primus now, unfortunately. Terribly disappointing. I want that face-to-face Unicron vs Primus battle I can stage...

Yeah I'm willing to double down on this being Omega Prime.

I forgot about his firetruck drone, that could be a possibility too.

Board Member Overcracker found it on Social media (not sure what site) , but it was originally in the Deathsaurus Haslab thread when we were speculating about the next Haslab a while back...

This is going to be good. Maybe the new HasLab will be something like Dai Atlas?

I'm certain of very little when it comes to predicting, but it seems almost a foregone conclusion the Haslab WILL be Cybertron/Primus. I cant think of a better way to Celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Brand. I mean in every continuity I can think of, the Transformers come from the planet Cybertron. And most of them have a Primus, or at least acknowledge it.

I just wonder what they'll do to make it exciting. No offence UT guys, but Primus himself is kinda ... boring. And that's the only place he properly appears in! The only other place is a piece of concept art or a face on a wall or as a Rodimus Prime repaint.

Of course I never actually watched Cybertron. Maybe I have no place calling Primus boring? Was he really exciting there? I bought the original toy at retail and felt good about it. But a Unicron-comparible price for him seems excessive.
