Greetings Seibertronians!

Looks like Magnificus wasn't the only reveal to come from the MCM Expo in London, as at the same panel, we got this revealed for the first time:

The images come from the same place as Magnificus, twitter user, @ZakuFan0079.

According to another twitter user, @SixoTF who brought us a comment from Hasbro clarifying that the trailer has come from the Earthrise Leader Class Optimus Prime figure (now in a holiday themed deco to match the merry Optimus), while Holiday Prime himself is completely new. It was also pointed out that this mold would be reused elsewhere.

Like Magnificus, Holiday Prime will be available to preorder from Tuesday, 1st November on Hasbro Pulse.

Thanks again to fellow Seibertron user, Nemesis Primal, for alerting us to these reveals.

What do you think of this Ho Ho Ho deco? Will you be asking for this Prime to make it's way to your stocking?

Let us know in the Energonpub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews!

Oh. Oh my. That's awesome.

Re-using the mould...could that be the Amazon Prime Optimus Prime that was mentioned months ago?

How the transformation is essentially reversed with the cab becoming the legs, one figure jumps to mind:

Could this be paving the way for Titan-Class CHRISTMAS MAXIMUS?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

It would be hilarious to have an Armada toy twice the size of Unicron.

In the mean time, I need to finish my custom Candy Claus to display with this guy...

My mind instantly jumped to Hero Prime as well, I do not doubt this will be reused in proper Hero colours one day, much like with Buzzworthy Bumblebee's Goldbug.

Wait… is this then the first time we are actually seeing the Amazon mashup Optimus mold?

It would have to be a special release, considering it's a VNR Truck licensed from Volvo.

Oh definitely, hence why I mentioned Goldbug. Probably will be annoying to track down when it happens but I'll still gladly pay up for a new Hero Prime.

Looks like the trailer has a candy cane genital

Can see it pulling off hero prime if the legs are reversible but not sure what else it could be used for. Probably passing on this but I've liked some of the star wars holiday repaints (that I've also passed on).

If that's the case, I hope they at least manage to somehow flip the calves kibble in the Hero mold. Not a big deal, but it'd be much more accurate than as it is now.

For sure! Reminds me of how Unite Warriors Blast-Off and Shuttler have reversed torsos to better match their respective source material, so I could see them reversing the legs somehow someway to better match Hero Prime/Sureshot.

I mean, I get where everyone is coming from saying Hero Optimus prime. But I can't help but think it looks like a "G1"ified version of AoE/TLK Optimus Prime. The truck cab is behind the legs. The trailer hitch area is the backpack. It just doesn't have the samurai armor-esque kibble flaps or a sword.

Other than that it looks like a mishmash of different designs. The pelvis, hips and thighs looks like Earthrise Prime but they're not. The lower arms and chest look like Legacy Prime but they're not. The backpack looks like Motormster's but it's not. The shoulders look like TR Prime's without the kibble but they're not. This is all upon a first glance at a picture of a picture as seen on a Facebook post though. Clearly, none of those parts are reused despite what the people commenting on those posts are saying. Someone thinks the entire thing is a retool of Motormaster and that we're getting a Christmas themed combiner.

I just wish the trailer was also new. That Earthrise trailer sucks. Maybe if they added in the entire weapons pack from the Centurion set it would be more worth it. You'd get the three additional Optimus Prime specific parts and then a bunch of other cool stuff...and a cage.

I agree that the Earthrise trailer is meh (darn thing obviously stretched super-hard to even exist, and sizewise is better suited to Classics Deluxe Optimus), but at least with a cheesy figure like this it doesn't feel like it's really trying to be the trailer in the first place, and the festive deco makes it nice to look at.

I probably won't end up getting this, sadly, but it's a very delightful flavor of cheese and I want to have it.

They can't say "Christmas" can they?

Christmas Optimus Prime. :)

The Santa hat on the Autobot symbol is a nice touch.

I think it works better to say "Holiday" Optimus Prime, makes it feel less specific for people who don't celebrate it. Kinda helps with it feel more in tune with the season of winter than just Christmas itself even if it's got some very Christmas-y aesthetics.

Yes but we can still troll the designers for it. :)

Not sure about this deco. I get the cab is supposed to look like it has snow on the top of it, but the trailer looks more like red licks than a candy cane and the red and white motif on the gun is almost garish.

I'd like a holiday Starscream packaged with a reprint of the Marvel UK issue where he learns the true meaning of Christmas and helping others from that kid.

Make it happen, Hasbro!

Looks cool, but I have two questions:

Is it really a licensed Volvo? It looks like one, but the box doesn't show the Volvo logo on the back.

Is it really a Leader despite what the graphic says? Most of the bot mode is folded up into the cab itself, the back portion is mostly chest and torso filler. the truck looks pretty small compared to Deluxe Shockwave nearby and the box it comes in isn't much bigger than Selects Magnificus' box.

Really feels like it's a case of "it's a Leader because it's complex, not because it's tall".

I'm guessing it's Leader-class price rather than size thanks to the big ol' Earthrise trailer. Doesn't seem to be officially licensed from what I can tell, they didn't even use the Volvo logo on the totally-not-a-Volvo-styled-grill, just a regular ol' Autobot logo where it'd be. (I will admit I am not upset about a "Leader" being smaller instead of strictly having to be 9" just to be 9", but this does mean it'll probably have the exact same complexity as Earthrise Prime and Legacy Laser Prime.)

I absolutely love this. I will get it.

It's also hilarious, I am slowly assembling a multiversal Holiday shelf with Black Series, Super7, and now this.

Its a licensed Vovlo truck. The Logo on the grill is a Volvo logo.
Also, the box has the big VNR logo indicating its a Licensed Volvo truck.
