Not a fan of Dwayne Johnson, I take it. ;)

I actually don't really have any feelings either way. He's a decent showman, but not that great of an actor. He's okay in some movies I've seen though, problem is he's basically the same character in every one of them which means you seen one then you've seen em all. lol

Why, was he the inspiration for this version of Cliffjumper? it's been a very long time since I watched an episode of this particular show and didn't watch again because it didn't appeal to me.
He was that Cliffjumper.

...for the five minutes of screentime he had before they killed him off.

And because Johnson was too expensive, they recast him with a soundalike when they brought Cliff back for a flashback episode set before his death.

Darn these multipacks! There's always one figure I want, like mainline Cheetor and Airazor from ROTB or Cliffjumper here, but I can never justify buying them because of the other figures bumping the price!

I'm not, not right now, not in kayfabe. Maybe in May. ;)

So apparently BB Origin Bumblebee is getting reissued in United packaging at Target to coincide with the release of Origin Wheeljack. One one hand, seems like a smart move, but on the other that figure was very abundant the last time around and there's still a ton of them out there for sale online at retail price or less.

I'm not sure what to think on this, for starters I don't know that it's been out long enough to warrant revisiting. I think 5 years is a decent minimum to come back to something for a repack, give plenty of time for demand to be build up for it.

Second, while I luckily got it in the first week of release by chance, I never saw it again at retail.
I forget if it was ever available online, but Amazon had it for around $30 until not long ago.

So I tend to lean towards it's not needed, but I can't speak for everyone. We need VW Bee reissued more than any others, IMO

There was a gazillion copies of Origin Bee at my Target and they ended up getting marked all the way down to under 10 bucks. Similar thing happened with Tow-Line.

Meanwhile, other stores had zero.

As usual.

My Target sold out its first case very quickly, the one I got from that case had a pretty beat up box, but I bought it anyway because I didn't know if I would see him again. And things were dry for a few months, then another case came in, then another, and then another. By the time they went on clearance there was at least a dozen left (two pegs worth anyway), enough that they got discounted twice. I know I bought at least one more at that point. Jazz was a different story, they took so long to show up that they were barely on the shelves before hitting clearance. Online I'm pretty sure Bee was available for a while, but I don't know if Jazz ever came in stock, I had a pre-order that surprisingly was never canceled by Target (not even a single delay approval notice) after being delayed for months, but I canceled it when I found one in store on clearance.

Oh, and at a lower price to boot, starting to wish I didn't pre-order (though I was able to get Wheeljack at a lower discount).

Target Now Shipping Studio Series 86 Blaster and Origin Wheeljack to Homes and Stores

If you've got pre-orders out for Target's exclusive Studio Series 86 Blaster or Legacy United Origin Wheeljack then watch your mail because those two are showing up at homes this week! And if you didn't pre-order and want to take a chance at finding them in stores then your gamble may pay off. Thanks to our own Seibertronian TF-fan kev777 we've got our first in store sighting for both figures. Pretty fast turnaround when it was less than two weeks ago that pre-orders for Wheeljack opened up and less than a month for Blaster. And the best part is that the sighting photos shows Generations Voyagers are currently at a reduced price of $29.99! Not yet verified to be the effective price for either Target exclusive, but with United wave 2 Voyagers beginning to show up in stores it may be a good time to do a little hunting!

Back to the iron giant Tidal Wave, hands down that these latest images are awesome. IMO the only thing they should have provided was a large size cannon of some kind even though his predecessor didn't have one it simply could have worked....'nuff said! :VEHI:

So, since it has been a while, catching up on the recent stuff:

Legacy united wave 2 is a win overall. I ordered Cheetor, Shard, Chromia, Starscream, and Silverbolt off Pulse yesterday when they came in stock. I am going to wait for a sale on Sandstorm, guaranteed he will be discounted. Passing on Gears, T30 is perfect for me still.

the United 4 pack is awesome. Cyberverse will gladly take a Tarn, though I wish he had his scars, and i will need to see if I can rip off his left arm. Chimeracon is OK, he will go well with Blackarachnia from the prior 4-pack. Cliffjumper looks great, excited for him. Squeezeplay also looks nice, that was an expected but great looking retool. I also got the set for $60 thanks to target deals.

My origins Wheeljack has shipped out, should be here later in the week.

Now, for some new photos.

Fun fact: Legacy Towline just fits inside OG Magnus

Animated Optimus and Armada Optimus make great additions to the Legendary shelf

I am still grateful to Legacy for giving us both of these figures. And I still pray we see the other 2 planet leaders in this line too

Given the inclusion of Metroplex and Override, it would honestly be weird to not see Scourge and Evac at some point.

I'm hoping we somehow get their Cyber keys at some point too, since they are making those now at last

A new Evac mold could also lead to an Airwolf collab figure...

First look at Legacy United Sideburn

One of the worst kept secrets in the Legacy line has finally been revealed thanks to users ZetcaReturns and ZipperMan29x over on TFW2005. Even without leaked listings showing this figure was coming in wave 3 it was obvious to anyone that took a quick glance at Legacy Evolution Shadow Striker that she was a pre-tool of Robots in Disguise Universe Sideburn. Unfortunately, unlike the recent trend of making shared tools of two different characters within the same line stand out by changing things up a bit, the only tooling difference between Sideburn and Shadow Striker is the heads. If you were hoping for at least a more realistic looking front end to the car that's unfortunately not happening.

Sideburn will be coming in the summer alongside Cybertron Hot Shot, Infernac Nucleus, a refresh of Strongarm, Cybertron Vector Prime and Armada Galvatron.

Meh, not bad. but remember, this is not a direct interpretation of the character. This is a geewunned version of the character. WHile there isn't much of a difference, there are some subtleties the RiD1 series had that G1 didn't.

Maybe we will get lucky and this isn't a final product?

Wouldn't "Geewunifying" it mean a more realistic alt mode like we've seen in other reinterpretations of character, not whatever this is supposed to be?

At least two people have it in hand and we're about 3 months from release, this is the final figure.

I do like the head, it's a bit mature, but more importantly I like the effort with the four paint hits and clear yellow. He definitely stands out in bot mode. Though it's a little strange that he's going to be in the same wave as another blue sports car with clear yellow parts.

I didn't think about that. That is a little strange, those two maybe would have been better spaced out some.

Geewunning is creating more of a blocky and wide/sturdy look vs the smooth lines of the Dodge Viper he was to start. Examples: Prime Arcee, Bulkhead, Knockout, Animated Prowl. All of them lost a lot of the smooth, sleek lines and definition that defined them in favor of very generic bot/alt modes. The blocky front here is definitely more G1 than anything...or Hasbro may simply be lazy.
