I would suspect Jolt and Ratchet are the other 2 deluxes, but we’ll have to see!

I know this won't be, but I am going to hope Skids and Mudflap into existence for this pack!

Are you kidding, I'VE done that! But this isn't Canada, it all comes down to what the tag says, though technically those tags don't say Optimus and Bumblebee, they still use the old code names. But I'm good, I got my Starscream from Target for $26.65.

I got the new Shockwave, he's ok, mediocre. The bot mode thankfully is trimmed better than the movie model, but the lack of bicep swivels is a real killer to what you can do with him. He looks good, but is pretty basic, which isn't a problem normally, but is when it sacrifices articulation.

I do like the alt mode though, good and tight.

As a Shockwave fan and collector, I could forgive all that if his cannon wasn't so awkward and puny.

I will never understand why any Shockwave would have a needlenose cannon, all the way back to G1.

Prime and FOC are really the only ones that have done it right

Yes, Beast Hunters especially. IMO that figure has aged very well, it's 1 of the best Shockwave designs ever, in robot mode at least.

As for G1, he was Astro Magnum 1st, and I guess Hasbro couldn't be bothered (or was unable) to modify the mold. I don't mind the G1 version having a long, narrower barrel, but I always thought it should've been bigger, perhaps a small version of his barrel in cannon mode.

It's not the size of the cannon that counts, it's how you use it.

Never bothered me that Shockwave had a small gun hand in G1 since other characters had them as well so it felt somewhat natural. But what he had that others didn't was a massive canon alt mode that didn't mass shift (usually).

Sooo... are finally going to get some Last Knight SS figures?

I'm specifically hoping for a Megatron, its the only Megs design I like from the movies. The Voyager is pretty close to prefect, just needs wrists and waist.
I would not be opposed to opening hands and his battle mask though.

Just finished totally repainting my SS-06 Starscream! It was one of my earliest projects, so I was eager to give it an update. Revisiting this mold about 6 years later, I think it holds up very nicely. Still one of my favorites!

Beautiful job! I do really enjoy SS Starscream, especially the RotF version.

Thank you very much! It was really fun to revisit that project so many years later.

Got a post for you all today and I'd love to hear your thoughts: What do you think about the Driller in Studio Series, and how do you think they could handle it?

Well it would have to be at least commander class, though Titan would be the proper size. But would it transform? It obviously has a cockpit where Shockwave sits, so would it turn into a ship? Or maybe a submarine? It would need a lot of joints for its tentacles, and that means a lot of small parts. Definitely an adult collector item, not for children.

Notes and Screen Caps from May 14 Pulse Livestream

Notes from the live stream:

SS86 Core Steeljaw - Confirms the speaker does attach to Blaster.

SS Gamer Edition Deluxe Decepticon Trooper - Very heavily retooled from Barricade. Evan claims the green is game accurate despite how dark he looked in the game.

SS Bumblebee Movie Voyager Skywarp - Exactly what you would expect for a a repaint of Starscream, does feature a new head similar to Blitzwing's.

SS86 Leader Springer - New chest, head, shoulders and opening hands plus new accessories including the catapult missile from the beginning of the movie, his sword from his fight with Wreck-Gar and a Wrecker's hammer just because they had more room in the molds. Hidden blaster in his wrist.

SS86 Deluxe Bumblebee - A Level confirmed, showing up in July along with Transformers One Optimus Prime. Not a parts former. Gray windows because the hinges are unpaintable PA plastic, don't expect a blue window repaint later. Autobot symbol on the hood accurately "disappears" in bot mode thanks to the transformation.

Also Leader class Straxus for Comic Edition shown, heavily retooled from Kingdom Galvatron. Canon barrel can be pegged to his back or held. Teasing new character as fourth figure (we can see perhaps a pointed shoulder and yellow hand on the spine of the box).

Bayblades crossover shown, just tops with Transformers stickers on them. Two 2 packs: Optimus Prime and Megatron, Starscream and Optimus Primal.

Talked about upcoming album, pre-order on Pulse today, digital version September 17. Followed by a quick greeting from Stan Bush.

Another promotion for Robosen Megatron. Now comes with a collector coin, also announced that 40 random figures around the world will be signed by Frank Welker for orders placed before May 26.

I wish they were still doing Shattered Glass stuff; these new reveals would be so nice in that line.

Steeljaw, Straxus as Bard of Darkmount, Sideburn, Cybertron Hot Shot as Goldbug, Slipstream, etc.

It was so nice, while it lasted.

That Straxus. :x :x :x

I wonder who that yellow hand belongs to. A comic edition Jhiaxus?

If we get a comic version of that Bee I'll pick it up.

I'm assuming the other amplifier for Blaster is coming with Ramhorn.

Also, am I the only one who thought of Klaw from Marvel when seeing that?

Well bumble bee looks 100 percent more like a penny racer in car mode but also 80 percent less bumble beeish.

Looks like they haven't fixed springers accuracy. Can't make out if they are really trying to pull off selling it at leader class or not on my phone.

He'll most likely be one of those figures that sort of shows up in stores. He seemingly hasn't been canceled or anything, he's available for pre-order in Japan for an August release.

What does the Reaper think of these offerings?

Studio Series Gamer Edition Deluxe "Decepticon Trooper": It's a retool of a Barricade figure which almost nobody liked. And I can't see myself liking it as a generic army builder. Pass!

Studio Series Bumblebee Movie Voyager Skywarp: This one's a recolor of the Starscream mold for that movie. I didn't like it then, and I don't like it now that it's recolored. Pass!

SS86 "Leader" Springer: It's a retool of Siege Voyager Springer, with a few accessories tossed in to fool the gullible into thinking you're getting your money's worth with a Leader class price point. They're not fooling ME! I may pick it up, but only if it goes on deep discount down to Voyager price. That's all this one deserves. Hasbro: You can't fool ME with such trickery! Phooey on youie!

SS86 Deluxe Bumblebee: A new mold for this one, or at least a mold that's been so heavily modified that I can't recognize which it came from. I may pick it up.

Core Steeljaw: A cassette minion for Blaster that ISN'T Eject! Finally. But I'm slopping over with Micromaster Cassettes, so I'll likely pass.

Leader Straxus: It may be heavily modified, but it's still a remold of Kingdom Leader Galvatron. The tripod cannon mode looks interesting, and the robot mode looks interesting from the waist up. From the waist down, you can tell who it really is ;). Most likely a pass.
