I really want to hunt this guy down but I really can't afford to waste the gas. I've been putting off paying $30 on ebay & this is perfect for me (poor) but the way the stores are I'd probably end up spending more than $30 in gas.

Does he transform into anything. I don't recall him having an alt mode in the movie...

Nope. A HUGE missed opportunity here. In the movie, it's mentioned that he's a headmaster. And he was supposed to go all headmaster on Nitro. They even prepared the toy for that. But NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, the scene was scrapped in favor of more human smelling each other's butts. #-o

So that must explain why my TRU Thundercracker's head came off to reveal a spot for a headmaster. I never got Nitro...in which I will eventually....but it's the same mold, so I suppose it does the same.....bummer indeed...

He turns into a lovely looking licensed Aston Martin and can fit TWO Titan Masters in the seats (thereby outdoing most Titan Returns figures at their own gimmick and doing it with a realistic alt-mode too).

I've had mine since last year and he's very nice and got some great detailing and such. Worth way more than that 10 bucks price so go snap him up while you can.

was Cogman in the same wave as Nitro Zeus? I never saw either of them at retail, and they were the only ones I was interested in. If they both show up at discount stores it might be worth driving around for them...

No, Cogman was either a stand alone, or a "tail end". I bought mine from China for 55$CAN shipped. Then the damn bastard is everywhere. For cheap to boot. Still, very worth owning.

I have Cogman but I've never seen Nitro Zeus or Studio Thundercracker in stores here. That mold is thus far eluding me.

Really wanted Cogman and hunted for him locally. After reading this article
I hit a TJ Maxx yesterday hoping to score one but all they had were 2 Drifts. :-(

If push come to shove, you could always import it. He's worth paying extra money for. And if you do import Cogman, this will make him magically appear en masse at your local retailer for cheap. That's what happened here in Canada. I did the summoning ceremony. So, think of your fellows and bite the bullet!

Transformers: The Last Knight Legion Hound Finally Found in US

PostPosted: Thu Jul 26, 2018 5:37 pm
by D-Maximal_Primal
After the sighting of The Last Knight Cogman for the first time at US retail last week, it appears as though the final wave of legion figures has also finally made it to the states.

Thanks to Seibertronian Bounti76, we have confirmation that Legion Hound at least has finally been found in the US at Ross, and just like Cogman, he has been found at a store not normally known to carry new or unseen product. What this appears to mean is that the final waves of The Last Knight toys appear to be making their way from storage areas to the shelves of stores finally, only not quite the stores we expected.

Ross and TJ Maxx have proven to be stores this past year that have gotten some fairly good product, seeing as how several figures that have evaded toy hunters of all ages keep showing up at these stores. So if you have one of these stores or one like it, or even like Ollies, you should go check them out!

TakaraTomyMall TC-13 Battle Command Optimus Prime Strongest Command Set

Exactly six months ago, we posted an article on the price and release on the TC-09 Battle Command Optimus Prime. Well now, it's being reissued on Takara Tomy Mall!

Well, it isn't just a reissue, it includes two redecos of the the High Octane Bumblebee and the helicopter Drift. Drift is in his The Last Knight while Bumblebee is just in Bumblebee colors.

They both are redecos of Age of Extinction One-Steps, so they should be able to interact with the trailer and Optimus using the pin.

The only place to buy this currently is on Takara Tomy Mall, for ¥ 8,640 (roughly 77.78 USD). This will be released on October 27, 2018.

Lots of Transformers related Die Cast news coming out recently as, in addition to the G1-inspired figures we reported on yesterday, Japanese die cast company Tomica announced a couple new movie-based car models!
The two models take from Bumblebee's The Last Knight Camaro mode, and from Optimus Prime's Western Star mode from the same film. If you collect diecast, you might know of Tomica from their popular line of model Japanese cars, such as Nissan GTR's and Acura NSX's. The two transformers models are presumed to be 1:64 scale, (aka, the same scale as Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars) and are currently listed on Amazon Japan and Takara Tomy Mall for around $5.40! Check them out below, and tell us in the Energon Forums if you'll be picking these up instead of the similar Jada brand diecast!

Concept Art for Skulk and Quintessa from Transformers: The Last Knight by Ken Christiansen

Seibertron.com friend and concept artist Ken Christiansen has dropped us a line to let us know he's posted on his social media accounts some more toy concept art for the Transformers: The Last Knight toyline - specifically, the Infernocus set that was made exclusive to Toys R Us, which reused the Terrorcons molds with the addition of new torso bot Skulk, and a see through Quintessa non transforming character.

You can check both out below, including variants of the latter, and let us know what you think in the Energon Pub discussion boards!

Concept art for the Skulk figure for the Toys R Us Infernocus Exclusive set, for the Transformers the Last Knight toyline. He's a mean looking one, nice change of pace from my regular Transformers work.

I love this set! I would have preferred the axe to the swords he came with, but it's still neat!

They just opened an Ollie's back in Mid-November this year. Up until then, I remembered Ollie's for advertising TR Trypticon - cheap. However, this Black Friday Ollie's ad, I saw a new find. TLK Premiere Deluxe Figures, for $6, and the picture was of Cogman! In my corner of southwestern PA, I saw no Cogman figures. Tons of TLK Wave 1 regular, and gimmick, figures stocked, and later, languishing on the pegs, along with the better-selling Transformers lines. So, I made it a point to run in there. TLK Drifts, Bumblebees, and Crosshairs were all well-represented, and I found an enormous volume of TLK Hot Rods (seriously thought about buying another for G1-esque repaint/kitbash). I even think I saw a couple Optimus Prime's, too. But, no Cogmans... :( When another collector expressed the same frustration, on Black Friday, at Ollie's, I said maybe they liked Cogman's more dynamic pose on his box art? Very disappointing...
