:-?

I should get a second Crashbar and a second Scraphook just in case.

I'm looking forward to see what that torso bot will be like.

In the stream, Mark Maher said Junkasaurus was "pre-planned".

Even that wouldn't fix everything since she's still colored more like Side Burn and has none of Universe Shadow Striker's deco.

But I'd at least feel better about it. That is not Cyberverse Shadow Striker, and it saddens me that they are basically checking that box off using this one.
Yeah. It simply makes no sense to G1-ify the Cyberverse designs since the Cyberverse designs are already G1-ified as they are. They're even more G1-like than the Unicron Trilogy designs.

Wouldn't they really be G1-ifying the Car Robots moreso than Cyberverse. I know this is Shadow Striker, but we know it's really Speedbreaker.

They said in the stream that this is specifically Cyberverse Shadow Striker, and that they merged in design elements from the Universe Shadow Striker's original Side Burn mold in order to G1-ify Cyberverse Shadow Striker.

I know what they said, but the true base figure is the Speedbreaker figure the OG Shadow Striker was based on. The car mode is doing most (if not all) of the Cyberverse work as she doesn't have a whole engine block for a chest...

I posed the same question in the thread specifically about the Livestream. Yes very odd indeed.

There's quite a few Buzzworthy items that haven't been officially revealed yet. Maybe at SDCC?

So is this showing a second Motorcycle deco we don't know about? It looks like two differently deco'd torsos in the shoulders.

They are really trying to get me to buy Scraphook. I just want more motorcycle junkions.

Hoping we get a redeco of Trash master as RB Salvage. The mold in interesting to me but I just don't know that I feel these Junkions. Having to be more selective with my purchases.

Probably not. A CW leg is part bot and part thigh from the torso bot, this guy is all bot leg and it's bent. Plus notice how big Mark's hand is behind it.

I imagine a lot of people will swapping Axelgrease for Tow-Line to get a more cohesive Autobot combiner. That's assuming the mystery limb is an Autobot. Is Trashmaster an Autobot?

I really like Junkasaurus, it's properly crap.... as a compliment. LOL. Feels like it's inspired by ROTF Devastator.

What's I'm struggling now is what to do with the limb bots. Should they be all Autobots for color/faction harmony... which mean doubling up on the same figures, or get the Decepticons ones? I don't usually double up on the same mold (except of course for the likes of Seekers & Datsun bros etc.), and the mixed colors is not without its charms for "a piece of junk"-asaurus combiner. Decisions...decisions...

They intentionally made that thing look like a fan-made kitbash. I suppose that's fitting for the Junkion aesthetic, but I just don't find it appealing. Usually I'm a sucker for a combiner team, but I think I'll be giving this one a pass.

There's just something about "Junkasaurus" that reminds me of Zod or Ultra Zod from the GoBots. Maybe it's the head and mouth thing. Maybe it's that it kind of has wheels for hands. Maybe it's the overall stance. It just reminds me of Zod.

I'd love a set of five done up in blue to represent Zod. I tried to think of five actual GoBots it could be made from but Throttle, Night Ranger, Dart and of course Scooter are all Guardians which leaves Cy-Kill as the only Renegade motorcycle. Throttle and Night Ranger would've been perfect though since they're both completely blue. Even Dart is part blue like Cy-Kill. Both Throttle and Night Ranger also come in white but the blue toys were used for the fiction so it would be difficult to change their factions like it could've been for the decos that weren't used in fiction by making them new characters.

Otherwise it would be Flytrap who is part blue, using Trashmaster as a base.
Buggyman who is all blue from a retooled Scraphook.
Stallion who is also all blue from a further retooled Axlegrease.

Maybe each piece becomes a different Blast drone or something? Five different Blasts combine to form one Zod.

The beauty of Junkasaurus being a combiner made up of both Autobot and Decepticon-aligned Junkions means that it technically belongs to solely neither faction and can be used for either-or. With that in mind, were I to make Junkasaurus a bad guy (or an anti-hero type), I could easily pit Junkasaurus against this year's BotCon-exclusive combiner Dinostorm.

The Junk combiner looks sick as heck, in the one main pic marc showed, included in the seibertron news article, it looks the the other arm opposite Crashbar is just an all tan/sand recolor of him? I wonder if its a stand in for the eventual retool. If its anything like Scraphook into Axelgrease i could see it turning out pretty neat and easy to add to my collection

There is no "other arm" yet. The assumed Crashbar repaint/retool has yet to be revealed.

Junkasaurus just rocks, plain and simple. I love it when we get hidden "semi-official" combined modes in there. And I like that this isn't just a standard humanoid combined form. It's all around something cool!

Designer notes for Strongarm

https://www.instagram.com/p/Ct0ASGeMTcG/

Officer Strongarm is popping out of the animated 2015 Robots in Disguise portal and into your collection! I always felt she was a stand out character in the series and from the overwhelming response the team got on the livestream the other day, all of you thought the same!
.
A welcomed cybertronian police woman and an appearance from the RID series is really what Legacy brings to the table. Now I know what alot of you are thinking, was the Elita One mold the perfect base body for this character. The team thought it would be great to have these two side by side with some similarities, they make a great team featured here. Also, just some more insight, some other concepts and ideas are always in flux utilizing different molds for pitches so availability and timing always play a factor.
.
Koki san from Takara Tomy really did a wonderful job making this partial remolding the very best it could be. Some screenshots I captured from the animated series look almost identical to how she turned out here.
.
I pushed pretty hard on trying to get all the deco I could for this character. In her animated appearance, there were definitely some details and colors that seemed to jump around quite a bit. Even alot of the promotional art and toys for her had so many things differentiated it was hard to choose the right direction. I felt the two tone blue was a must and the face deco came out outta this world. Noted for future reference, the factory had quite a time trying to live up to the highly complex deco on such a small surface. The design journey on some of these characters keeps me up at night  !! The final look though is so worth it in the end!
.
Also, some of you may notice I’ve upgraded Strongarm here to an officer of the cybertronian police instead of a cadet. I feel she’s earned her stripes taking down the likes of so many crazy characters from that RID series. I’m excited to further make a solid police force with Prowl and some Autotrooper’s.
.
Autobots Roll Ing Down….errr the street…uhmmmm, yeah! Trying to think of an acronym for RID lol! Sorry folks, got nothing in the tank today!
