Earthrise isn't the main line anymore though. It's dead. Kingdom's the main line now, while Scourge's mold is in Studio Series.

Exactly.

Oh man, you two are right, my bad. I love the forums, I haven't been using them as much just been busy recently. Mixed up the names of the toy line trilogy.

It would also have been in the wrong thread if that post was in Kingdom.

The right thread would have been in the SS86 thread (based on the mold) or in the Select thread (the repaint thread.)

If you want to go nut with wishes, I made a thread just for that where anything goes:

I just purchased Smashdown, aka the Chicago Bulls hammer. Initially i though he was weird but he's fun. One the instructions and most reviewers don't mention from stock footage his arms can wield his handle it as a gun. Hammer looks good on Optimus but the hammer handle it a b***h to get into the slot :BOOM:

The blast effect is cool for Grimlock using Pteraxadon's gun mode. But my favorite image is Smashdown has a fan-made mode a Boombox (basically don't add the handle a and make someone hold it)

Smashdown is excellent, easily my favorite battlemaster. I think I ended up with 6 of her

Amazon just cancelled my Conheads preorder. I was hoping that they'd get restocked around September/October due to the preorders earlier last month, but no dice.

I've about lost hope on paying even close to normal prices for those guys.

Was that set severely underproduced for so many preorders to be cancelled? Or is it crass incompetence from Amazon?

All those Coneheads were lost at sea last year, or at least it is most likely that is what happened.
Several news articles about it

I know it is easy for me to say since I already have a set, but I would recommend holding off for now on 3rd party/ebay for trying to secure a set.

I have to imagine Hasbro is going to do something similar to last year, when Red Wing, spy patrol 3, and a few other hard to get Siege items got a second run a year later and were available through entertainment earth and a couple other online retailers. We should be coming up to about the same point in the year for Earthrise exclusives and hard to find items this year.

Edit: Then again, maybe not, I just checked EE and they have the Thundercracker/Skywarp set coming in September, not the Coneheads. Bummer.

It wasn't EE, but it was some other online relators.

The fact that the other Seekers had reissues gives me a small amount of hope.

Also the Siege Amazon Skywarp Phantomstrike Squadron set was just released in TT markets earlier this year, almost 2 years after it's north American release. Not sure if Dirge/Ramjet had any sort of release already from TT, but this may be something to keep a watch out for. It wouldn't be as inexpensive as Amazon initially was, but it would be far better to pay to import, rather than the unbelievable prices that people are charging on eBay.

I can't imagine Hasbro would just go "Eh, oh well, lots of people didn't get their orders filled, so what". I'd imagine that they might already be trying to figure out when they should do a second production run of Dirge and Ramjet, maybe even trying to work out a deal where they can have an SS86 individual release of them to try and make sure people can get the ones they want

Yes, back in February exclusive to Takara Tomy Mall.

Just got Snapdragon, and I love his jet mode.

His Dino/dragon is also great, but have not been able to get Krunk to fit in his head and have his arms fill in his eyes. Its super tight in there, and even if I feel the click, his arms simply don't move up to fill his eyes.

What am I doing wrong? Or doe they simply not come up enough for that?

I though they should make his eyes red.

Getting Krunk in Snapdragon's Dino head is indeed a pain in the tail pipe. Probably doesn't help that Krunk is inserted at an angle.

Your best bet is to lift the Dino head up to fully expose the catch, have Krunk's arms be at an angle and his legs straight, then try to push him in. When attached, Krunk should sit parallel to the back of the head.

Thanks. Got it. But it makes his jaw look awkward, since his legs need to be lower to not give him a protruding lockjaw.

Don't know if I like red eyes more, or his jaw in a better position. Will need to think about it as I fiddle around with him more.

The way I personally try to fix the jaw issue is by using the knees as the point of movement for the jaw, rather than Krunk's hips. It's not great, but it kinda fixes part of the issue

It looks but odd to me. The naw is too low, and doesn't close right.

I like the bottom jaw being closer to the top one.

Jet mode and robot mode are fantastic.

I prefer the closed jaw and just try to avoid shining light into his empty sockets and thinking of them as being black. It was a nice idea, but it didn't work out so well.

Also his backpack is supposed to be moved down to his hips, but it makes his top half look emaciated and very bottom heavy. People thought PotP Grimlock had big hips!

I like his backpack / chest-piece higher up Not sure what purpose it serves further down.

I think I'll keep Krunk such that the jaw is closed and can use the hip joint as his jaw joint

It should be easy to find something to fill in those empty eye sockets.

Moving the backpack down in Dino mode provides an attachment point for the base of the tail. The indents on the inside of the thighs go unused otherwise.

Scorponok finally arrived!

I made the preorder on BBTS when he came back in stock in January (as I'm sure many others did as well), but I have waiting to own this figure since he was revealed back at Toyfair 2020. He was worth the wait! Solid, unlike Metroplex and Fort Max he doesn't squeak when you pick him up, and I'm not normally bothered about ankle tilts, but it really makes a difference for a figure this size. He can hold poses great, and has a magnificent presence to him.

I also got the DNA add-on kit for him. I usually don't go for 3P, but that giant rifle was too much to resist, it's hilariously large and makes him truly overkill.

I've been looking forever for upgrades for Scorponok (and citybots in general) What I really want is titan master chairs and repair arms on 5mm posts. Does anyone have any good ideas? I keep going to Shapesway's site, but don't trust their plastic quality.
