Not without facing some serious legal ramifications any recall the figure. ;)

Or if they made it a Core class toy with an orange barrel. :P

Solution: Takara makes it and Hasbro just acts as an "importer" with an orange cap like MP36 had

Not as far as I'm aware, but the usual importers did, at the cost of including an orange cap that plugged into the barrel. I was mostly joking when I suggested it because I doubt we'll ever see Megs turn into a gun in a toyline again outside of MP

I doubt it too, but I'll never say "never."
This will be in Takara's hands for sure.

They could always make it a submarine or space ship.

With Slag coming out sometime around July-Sept (preorder dates from different places were obvsly not the same),
This means Sweeps, Wreck-gar, & Gnaw will be released before the end of this year, right?
Is Coronation SS rumored to be a Selects figure?

Yes, if they come out as the SS pattern has been, they will all be released sometime this Fall, probably around September

Actually we have some tentatively confirmed already based on the amazon listings.

They are grouped with some regular SS bots based on Amazon's date, which always seem to be a little later then they show up in stores.

Leaders SS86 Slag and SS Grindor, Voyager SS Thrust(Bee movie), and deluxes SS86 Gnaw and SS Jolt are all dated for August

Voyager SS86 Sweep and Deluxe SS Sideswipe are slated for November.

What is interesting there is that both dates have incomplete Voyager and Deluxe cases. The August grouping should have 1 more voyager and 2 more deluxes and the November batch should have 1 more voyager and 1 more deluxe unless they go the repack route, which is possible with Gnaw.

Does anyone think Gnaw will be a new, improved mold from any in the past?
I have 100% decided to pass on Blurr. And if I can’t get Kup on a great sale, him too.
I’ve already preordered 2 Sweeps...
And if Gmaw if good enough, since I may be passing on Blurr & Kup, I could honestly see getting 3.
Funny thing is he may be literally the only figure where I’m more concerned about the look of his alt mode more than the bot mode...
Or wait... They were in beast mode more than bot mode... Does that make their robot mode their “alt mode”???

Gnaw will be a new mold, pretty sure of that.

Coronation SS is a normal retail Voyager (jury is out on new mold or retooled Earthrise Starscream)

I suspect Gnaw, like everything else in SS, will be more screen accurate in bot mode and not have little arms sticking out of his feet like the last two attempts.

I figured that Blurr couldn't be the only re-paint/re-tool figure in SS86...
My bet is that SS will be the exact same as ER... I'm not even sure I believe they will have done any re-tooling of the shoulders.
Between the crown, shoulder pieces, and cape, I also won't be surprised if this doesn't come with any other extras such as blast effect pieces...

The only thing that would entice me to buy this figure would be IF they have substantially decreased the amount of Siege greebling... Although, at the same time, it would set up Hastak for future releases of the other "SS86" seekers down the road.

I have Gnaw on preorder, but I'm already preparing myself to cancel...
Obviously I hope he's a great figure.
While I'm really happy with the figures that I like from this line, the others have been letdowns imo...
4/6 have been great. I guess you could say 5/7 now that we've seen Slag.
There's just enough of doubt in my mind that I'm prepared to be letdown by Gnaw, and even Wreck-gar.

It will interesting to see how Gnaw is scaled... The bot mode seemed short and squatty... But the beast mode seemed to be of a decent size.

I would imagine he'd be scaled with the Allicon. They're pretty much the same size.

I thought the same.
I didn’t word it well in a previous post, but that’s why I was asking about a completely new mold for Gnaw...
Seems possible Gnaw could be a re-tool of the Allicon...
Especially since neither is very easy to repaint into a different character.

Anybody know of an upgrade kit for Grimlock to give him red eyes in both modes and articulated hands?

I think those are the only 2 things missing to make him truly exceptional.

I've already ordered Nonnefs kit for the sword and teeth.

They could always do a SS86 galvatron with Kingdoms being a bit of a mess and include the gun mode.

I'm really late to the party, but how would you guys rate SS Hot Rod? I've had all CHUG Hot Rods up to this point.. but not because I'm really a fan of him. Classics was my first (and he's possibly the worst aged Classic mold), I got TR because he was a vast improvement (but still flawed), and then PotP which was kinda equally flawed.
My main hold back with Roddy right now is his faux chest (faux parts are my greatest pet peeve).
Also, are Kup and Blurr good as well?

And one thing I'm not sure anyone's discussed yet: is Grimlock's neck molded in transparent plastic but painted over? I've always preferred the Dinobots to have their window bits.

You must really hate almost every single SS releases so far because most if not all movie bots have no choice but to have "fake chest" and "fake everything else" because black magic doesn't exist. I have SS86 Hot Rod and I just cannot understand how that "fake chest" freak people so much. It's completely absurd. Especially when the damn thing is a completely different shape and size as the car hood.

Anyway, not only does he have many accessories to recreate many scenes of the movie, SS86 Hotrod have an almost MP level of an accurate bot and car mode. The transformation is smooth and everything feel solid. He also have the cleanest back of every single other Hotrods so far, including both MP. It's a "deluxe" well worth the price of a voyager. He also have the "meat" to back it up.

Now, if only I could find Kup...

Ehh, with most Bayverse designs the faux parts just become "Assorted Robo-Giblets" so it's easier for me to justify. But with figures like the Runamuck duo, Siege Mirage, and Kingdom Tracks I don't get why they needed the faux parts. I'm just glad that after seven years we finally got a Prime with actual chest windows in Siege.

Also they just restocked SS86 on Pulse, so you could get Kup there.

Gotta admit that for Mirage and Runamuck, it's a bit baffling. But Rodimus's clearly magically morph into something else entirely.

Imo Hot Rod is one of the best (meaning top 4-5) in the recent lines.
I’ll also agree that I still can’t understand the issue with faux chests...
That’s not me saying I don’t have the capacity to comprehend someone else’s opinion...
I just don’t get why or how it bothers people so much.
Especially to the point it tops or is near the top of their list of priorities.

Either way, he’s one I would NOT pass on.
Along with
Cyclonus
Scourge
Grimlock
Jazz

There are plenty of others I like from ER...
But of SS86, Blurr is the one I know I’m not getting; unless I can get him for $10.
& I’m on the fence about Kup. I’ll also most likely wait until I can get him on sale... But imo he’s much better than Blurr. If I could get him for $13-$15 I’d be pretty happy.

G1 Powermaster Prime was my first Prime and not only did he not have the classic transformation but he had the first fake alt piece that I know of. Even as awesome as the set was, with base mode and super mode, I still felt cheated by the main Prime figure. If I had stayed collecting since then, I wonder if it would bother me to this day.
