Almost all those points could go to the leader mold as well and it is by far the most sought after Leader Class movie toy out there.

Which Leader mold? 'cuz the rotf leader megs' was trash and I'm not sure what your point would be about it

My point was just that sometimes a mold which isnt that great could still be worth it. For instance, you think the leader Megatron mold is trash, but I would still highly recomend you pick it up if you find it for 30$ at a yard sale just to be able to handle a coveted figure.
Also, I am sure the deluxe leadfoot mold isnt amazing just by looking at it, but ownging it at a decent price would still be worthwhile simply to have it as part of my collection and get to know what it is I might have been missing.

in the end, regardless of whether or not the voyager megs is an amazing mold, him finally being released in this colour is pretty hot and will surely be coveted, more so than that bumblebee. So through a financial outlook, he is definitely worth it (as is that Leader Prime). I dont own that mold, only the leader, and I have Grindor as well as a few voyager optimus toys, so I cant wait to get him so that I can recreate that forest fight scene and it would be in the right colours (well for everyone but Grindor). Thats worth it for me too :)

I don't just throw money at figures... and to be fair, I was replying to the guy who specifically asked for input about the figure form those that had it...

I know and you did a spectacular job, it helped me too (and pretty much told me it was very similar to what I dislike about the Leader version). I just wanted to give an extra perspective on the word "worth" ;)

I know, the original movie leader megs is pretty great, but, the rotf one doesn't appeal to me at all, and I wouldn't buy it on sale.

I would buy this voyager one if I had spare cash, the deco is gorgeous, if you can get past the geared arm gimmick and the rubber-fingers, he's a pretty decent figure ;)^

I really want to get my hands on a deluxe Leadfoot. He's the one I never got and I really wanted all the Wreckers (Nascar fan/stealth force fan over here). I could have got Soundwave for $20 in a lot with 4 other guys but I let it go after someone else bid me with a bit to go. Didn't need it or the other 4 really. I did get Que though, so there is that, and I have the HA Leadfoot and all the legends Wreckers, so I have a full team at least

So the leader Prime is up on Amiami http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail ... agecnt%3D1

And the great news is taht the listing states he has 5 weapons:

[Set Contents]
-Main Optimus Prime figure x1
-Weapon x5
-Instruction sheet x1

We know 3 of them since he has the 2 gas tanks and the sword so I am hoping that the other 2 weapons is another sword and that new knuckle piece.

I'm not a big fan of the movie aesthetic but the transformation of those figures are wonderful (well the ones I've handled). That Soundwave is all the tempts. Quick, 3... 2... 1... someone enable me

Actually, I've read this thread and I've seen a lot of talk about the other figures, what's the story with this Soundwave? Is it the best SW mold from the movieverse?

Yes. But the real deal here is that it never came to the US and costs a ton of money online. This is finally a chance for anyone to afford him and plus he now coms with a nice shiny silver deco rather than the off white matte deco the toy had previously. I know you like fun things, so here is a fun tidbit: look at his forearms, they mounted all these speaker like details on them :) And he is part of the Human Alliance line which was like the MP line for the movie (aside from the literal MP line for the movie which had 2 leader class figures). Out of all these toys, that Soundwave is the one I darted for.

Here is a gallery of the original non shiney release:

Thanks Will. I did not know that about the human alliance figures. I remember seeing some at the blow out clearance stores some years ago. If I knew then what I knew now I'd got em.

I've been eyeing this set for a while, but all them dollar monies.

Now the struggle.

I was too, but I would never have purchased it at that cazy price. So this is great news. We get a nice premium deco soundwave for way less. And that Barricade doesnt seem so much improved over the one we got in th US, which isnt that expensive. You could find Barricade on E-bay for a very reasonable amount and you will end up with both those toys for probably half what that 2 pack costs.

Oh I'm not interested in any of the other figures, just my boy Soundwave. I was just watching it.

I honestly wish they'd gone with the Deluxe Soundwave for this line along with the Human Alliance. I have both molds - the HA Soundwave is alright, but his legs are so small they make him a bit tough to stand up sometimes and look disproportional with his upper body, which is much nicer in my opinion. It looks like these figures are going for movie scale, which is why I assume Starscream is only Voyager size, and Soundwave was pretty small in DoTM - a bit taller than Bumblebee since they were both cars. It looks like they're using the HA mold so Soundwave is the same height as the other Decepticons. Soundwave is my favorite Transformer, so I appreciate the size up, but I'd rather have him in an accurate scale. I'll probably end up putting these guys with my Darkside Soundwave from Takara's last special movie line or painting the regular version of the deluxe I have to put next to them. That said, I will probably still get the new Human Alliance Soundwave because those colors look REALLY nice.

Hey, look who's the number 1 preorder in Japan (well, Amiami) right now:

Also, the Leader Prime really looks to be the Japanese release of the APS-01U Prime we got last year, which is amazing news. So its pretty much the deco you will see below but with a mouthplate:

Each comes in a new deco, and featuring a small Autobot rider, Optimus Prime and Bumblebee respectively. Check them out below.

I admit he is, but I am surprised that he isnt screen accurate, I thought that was the point to this whole line.
