Scorponok’s ugly, but then again he’s not exactly supposed to be as hot as Scarlett Johansson or my girlfriend. Still gunna buy him to complete the cast.

Galvatron is... well, Galvatron. Already knew I was into him but it’s nice to see that his Revenge model kits can be stored on his back.

The Ark is.... underwhelming, frankly. Ship mode is nice but the robot mode leaves something to be desired for me. Teletraan-1 having a Mainframe-looking robot mode is also a neat twist, though it’s suspiciously Combiner Wars Silverbolt-shaped... :-? I wonder how both the Ark and Teletraan-1 scale with the rest of Generations?

Well the Titanium Ark doesn't have to transform into an almost 2-foot tall robot

This. I completely see and agree with WiseMan's take but at the same time, I know it transforms so some things I can forgive.

I feel like we are in an opposite time from G1. Back then, the alt-mode was gorgeous while the robot was a non-articulated brick. They were wonderful-looking bricks! But, a brick nonetheless. These days we have decent-looking alt-modes with gorgeous robots that have amazing articulation. So some of the cost that would have gone into panels went into some joint, maybe some articulation instead. I prefer articulation so I'm cool with it but I can see why other collectors would be put off.

I am really happy with the look of Galvatron overall. Now, I wish the chain of the matrix looked better, but oh well. The "Revenge" cannons... Mehhh... Not saying they're bad, but don't much either way. I'm really excited to get him displayed with Cyclonus, Scourge, and eventually a couple Sweeps!
This is really going to be a display set-up that I've wanted for many years!!!

I am probably in for the Ark... I actually like that there's no illustrated model to compare his bot mode to. Which in the grand scheme isn't anything impressive, but good enough.
The ship mode is a little disappointing with the gaps, but I still like it. Who knows, I may even display him in alt mode. I really appreciate the Teletraan-1 and Mainframe... Very cool imo!!
I'm not trying to hype this up to myself too much, but I'm looking forward to getting just my second Titan Class figure!

Scorponok is a pass for me. like all the BW figures.

As for the holloness. I'm guess the fact that it is only 19 inches, and uses less plastic overall than more recent Titan's is the reason for the slight price reduction. ($149.99)

Also, Teletran-1 Looks almost like it could be a weaponizer, but not sure...

Yeah, I'm really disappointed by the Ark and as you said makes the Core class pointless, which is a shame since I feel they're the best figures in Kingdom.

And I hate Kingdom Galvatron because despite the robot mode looking fantastic, the back of his alt-mode of a cannon-tube-thingy-on-wheels in no way matches the original toy or animation model. And I hate it more because 3rd party knock-offs are getting it right.

I'm not too sure about Core-class. That little red Prime looking freaking tiny in the shot. That might be the right size for Unicron, but too small for the Ark to my eyes. I think the Core-class is actually going to scale just fine.

Galvatron look amazing! THANK GOD FOR OFFICIAL PICTURES! He will be an insta buy and will complete the trio with Cyclonus and Scourge.

Beast Scorponok also look absolutely stunning. He too, will be a day one buy.

As for the Ark, meh. I don't need one more titan and I can easily skip this one. [-(
Then after I stupidly miss out, I'll get him as soon as he come back in stock like I did for all the others.

They have been pretty good at reissuing some of the big bois from Siege and Selects. I keep crossing my fingers that Hasbro or Takara will find some POTP Primes to make some more Stay Convoys. Jetfire is available now and I am hoping I can finally get one this payday.

Considering the chain seems to connect via 5mm peg, you could probably use a LEGO chain piece and loop it. I'm probably gonna do that (after finding my old tub).

Looking back at the Ark, I see that he's kinda like Cybertron Primus's little brother. I dig it.

In before "they're not the same thing".
I'm just pointing out that they really look like they belong together from the same universe, and are from the same "mother".

If that Teletraan-1 doesn’t get a Selects Mainframe repaint I will riot!

That said, they’re isn’t anything about this guy that isn’t perfect. Would love to see the Nemesis, of Hasbro is willing to separate Trypticon being the vessel as a concept.

So far, there's only one... and a half. Not counting the G1 repaint, there's Titan Return and Cyclonus as a torso. That's it. The closest we have as a not too purple Galvatron is the classic deluxe. Hated by many , but I love.
And there's that Armada one.......... Okay so far, there's a few and it's purple festival.

Well, let's hope for a Select. If they do one, I'll double dip. I'll get the regular purple Galvatron to go with his minions, and the G1 toy colored one to go along the original. This will be an easy repaint to do. For the hell of it, they could replace the accessories with new and unique ones like the gun the original G1 toy come with.

Should be coming in Selects. That's what I'm waiting for as well, it makes him much more accurate to his Marvel version.

And since Black Zarak is a reality, I wonder if either Tidal Wave or The Last Autobot will also be done out of the Ark.

I also agree that little tiny Prime can be scooted over to Unicron, and the Core Class figures can still go with the Ark.

Few people are already saying The Ark bot mode is a homage to The Last Autobot, think even official sources have said it's supposed to be. I'm personally not seeing it.

That’s a solid idea!!!

Also, the more I’m seeing the Ark, the more I’m interested.
I’ve skipped so many Titans, it’s finally time to get one!!!!

"The last Autobot" sound way too hardcore to ever happen. But we said the same thing about Black Zarak. One thing is sure is Tidal Wave out of the Ark is moot simply for being too huge and not having anything resembling him. But as his Cybertronian form it cour work. Maybe as a heavy custom?

As for the tiny Optimus, I can headcanon that he's perfectly in scale with the ship mode, and the Core Class bots are in scale with the bot mode. It's not unusual for Transformers to shrink down when in bot mode in G1. Just ask Astrotrain!

Yeah the Last Autobot is not as bulky, but the Ark face resembles his. I think with a blue chest and some other minor redecos, it could work. Better than Tidal Wave anyway. But the designers couldn't even get the Ark's ship mode right, so I'm not holding my breath.

Okay....

*deep breaths*

My thoughts...

Unsurprisingly, Galvatron does look better in these official pics than he looked in the leaked pics.

Teletraan I as Mainframe is a neat idea.

The Ark's naked side panels are unforgivable sin. HOW do they think those gaping hulls look good in any kind of way? That is ludicrous.

And as for its robot mode, it's fine. I can see that the head does resemble that of The Last Autobot, but with the way its colored, all I can see is Titan class Prime Bumblebee:

As for Scorponok... Eeeeeeeeeyikes! Is that really the best they could do? Seriously? Why is his robot mode so blocky? His proportions are all wrong!
Image
Image

To say nothing of his beast mode. Good gravy, what were they thinking? Having his robot mode shoulders jut out ahead of his scorpion head? That is a most unsightly design choice that in no way look good whatsoever.

The original toy didn't have this problem and it was already a far cry from show-accurate:

For me that Ark is just perfect, everything I ever wanted from a transformable Ark and more.

I love how Teletraan 1 itself is now a Transformer even if they do look like Mainframe.

I'm betting in true Hasbro photo fashion, they mis-transformed the shoulders. The purple shell piece connects to the actual shoulder piece with a bicep swivel connecting the rest of the arm. The shoulder and shell can rotate together. For Scorpioon mode, I'm guessing the shoulder pieces should each be 180 degrees from where they are now, which would put the purple shell pieces on the outsides of the arms not squished together under the head. This would separate the shoulders and put them a little further back, better matching the cartoon.

Was only really interested in Scorponok, which I am digging. I can see the disconnect between the "realistic" beast mode like what they're doing for the other characters in this line while still keeping the cartoon accurate color scheme, but it works for me.

I'm confused by his "accessories". Are they spring-loaded, or just plug-ins? I assume they're removable, but none of the images show them separate from his claws. He has what could be buttons on the sides of the arms, but it makes no mention of them being launchable in the description.

Removable (probably have 5mm pegs on the back), you'd probably be able to fit a nice blast effect in their empty ports.

I don't think there's been a Springloaded gimmick in CHUG since T30 now that I think about it...
