This is really the response I'm looking for ;) . I know people are quick to judge based on a games technical aspects, and perhaps rightly so. When I mention the 2003 Japanese PS2 game Transformers: Tataki, most people cringe. I don't know if its based solely on gamers poor reviews, or just watching youtube vids, or what. But I'll tell you, I haven't had so much fun as I did playing that game in a long time.

I'm expecting about the same from Devastation. Just a good fun nostalgia feeling game. I wish there was a bit more character diversity, but it definitely looks like something I want to play.

You're setting the bar pretty low if you expect Devastation to be anything like Tataki. People don't trash that game because of bad reviews or watching videos, they trash it because the game is just bad.

Considering the effort it takes to modify a Playstation 2, and time/cost to import the disc, I find it hard to believe that so many people who claim the game is bad, have actually played it.

Right, because Transformers fans are known to be very stingy with their money, especially when it comes to importing stuff. And seriously, dude, don't try to pull the old "If you didn't like it, you must not have played it" argument when you're literally the only person I've ever spoken to who has expressed any sort of enjoyment from Tataki.

Importing video games, and creating a compatible console takes more effort than importing toys.

In other words no, you haven't played it. Also, don't speak in absolute terms, only a Sith does that. ;)

No it doesn't. I had my original Xbox both hard-modded and soft-modded. That was done in an afternoon.

To be fair, I don't think you've played it either. I mean, never once have you talked about how it plays, just that you don't think people who didn't like it haven't played it.

You can equip Optimus's blades from the movies, too. This game is awesome.

I finished the game on Commander difficulty today, and it opened up the Magnus difficulty. The ****'s like Dark Soul's hard.

I preordered via Gamestop and the DLC code was on my pick up receipt. Not sure how other retailers handle it but maybe that'll help?

It's not on the receipt. I called Game Stop corporate and evidently it's a fairly systemic issue their having. If it wasn't autogenerated I'm SOL as far as Game Stop is concerned. They told me to call Platinum Games to try to get one from them. Primus, I hate **** Game Stop!

Game is awesome. I started laughing when I first got to play with Bumblebee because it's like "YEEEEEEEESSSSSSS!!!!" You could always play as Optimus or stomp around as Grimlock in FOC but this is Bumblebee, really Bumblebee. Not WFC/FOC but real proper G1 Bumblebee! And the voice is truly his! Just perfection.

I'm hoping for a future DLC pack that turns Sideswipe into Hot Rod. One of his trophy quotes is "Didn't even bend a fender" so yeah, I'm hoping.

Should have camped outside the store over night like I did. I got all the codes.

I finished Warrior difficulty tonight. I could nitpick, but I won't bother. The overall experience was stellar. Commander settings are pretty rough, as I found when I was attempting to clear stage 3 and blitzing was annihilating me in just a few hits. I didn't even realize that I changed the setting! Miraculously I pulled out an SS rating, which I have no idea how I did that.

One of the trophies is insane - you have to get the highest ranking overall in each stage on Commander or higher. I want to attempt it, but I'll likely curl up in a ball and start crying.

His alt mode is not a VW Beetle. That's not a proper G1 Bee. >:oP But yes, his voice and robot mode are spot on.

I HATE fighting Blitzwing. He's literally the only enemy in the game that can withstand the transformation attacks. When you hit him, it doesn't even phase him. He just stands there, comes back with a roundhouse kick and knocks you halfway across the stage. **** Blitzwing.

You can survive by parrying his missile attacks. When you grab them and throw them to the ground (triangle on PS3/PS4) it usually drops the green energon health packs.

So today I got Devastation. I reserved a copy of it and the guy at Gamestop said that I would I get the bonus. I picked up my copy and there is only a slip about CW Devy. Could someone who reserved a copy tell me if the bonus was a code, or an in game thing. Thanks :CON:

I just finished warrior diffculty on my first playthrough. I havent gotten this buzz from a game in years. That fight with menasor and devastator. the final battle. Just wow.

I'm gonna play through again on the lowest difficulty to get all the collectables as a solo wheeljack run. hes a touch too technical for me to get by with on the higher difficulties, so i figure i can get his all chapters trophy out of the way.

I got DotM Megatron's hobo shotgun as a weapon drop. Proceeded to shoot final boss Megatron in the face with it.

This game is fantastic.

Does Grimlock have his red sword and propepr twin barrelled blaster? I've not seen either in trailers.

I've seen a few other Bayformers weapons like Prime's sword and Grimlock's mace. My Prime sword is currently level 14, though synthesizing weapons at a higher level is pretty pricey. Hopefully the cash drop rate increases in difficulty settings after Commander.

Insurgent wrote:Does Grimlock have his red sword and propepr twin barrelled blaster? I've not seen either in trailers.

He starts with the blaster, and I think I've seen the sword as a random drop. Not positive though.

I can confirm Grimlock's red sword does drop on Commander difficulty. The model is also used as the standard sword type on Commander.

And now I have what looks like Dai Atlas's gun. It's called "Magna Shot" - talk about obscure. Someone really should catalog the weapons and explain who they belong too. I'm not sure even the most die hard among us could recognize everything.

There are lots of different weapons from just about every continuity. I have the Forge of Solus Prime, Bulkhead's wrecking ball, Movie Optimus's swords, movie Grimlock's mace (I have dozens of those), DOTM Megatron's shotgun, Megatron's iconic fusion canon, Grimlock's original sword and gun, Ultra Magnus's gun, Animated Ultra Magnus's hammer, and a bunch of other **** I'm probably forgetting.

And Magnus difficulty is out of control.
