When I first saw this, even thought it said Xbox it looked more like a mobile game to me. I was hesitant at first as a console game. I'll reserve all judgement until it's release. Either way, it's shiny and purdy. Looked good on my laptop screen, so if it was a mobile game, I would have gotten it. Just not keen on paying 59.99 for a game that seemed more like mobile than console. Can't wait to hear more when they bring up more info during E3.

Ditto. Those games are awesome. I can't wait to hear more during E3

If they, Platinum Games can incorporate the Z.O.E. Engine then I'm good. Excellent targetting and melee engine.

Why would they have that? Also, why would they use that? They didn't have a hand in the game at all, and the engine is from 2003. Kojima himself hadn't even planned on using it anymore, up until ZOE3 was canceled, he was going to use the vastly superior to everything else Fox Engine. (The same one used for MGS5 and PT)

Compared to the other mech games released on PSOne and Two, I find the ZOE fighting engine ver intuitive and not stilted like other mech games of the time. It can be tweaked.Name one game as intuitive as ZOE/

My opinion.

Wouldn't it be cool if you could zandatsu a Vehicon's spark to replenish your HP (yeah, MGR fanboy here)?

Seriously though, since it's also coming out for the PS3, I'll probably pick up a copy. I just hope the game time for each playthrough isn't too short. Anywhere between 10-12 hours is fine, as long as you can switch characters and sides.

Knowing the limits of a particular game engone but it possible to include a Studio Ox style + cell shading :x

And........the bane of us videogame addicts, DLC :BOOM: But if they could add in Shockwave or a Decepticon campaign....nice to play as the bad guy once in a while. I'll reference a bit to ZOE where you can go postal and destroy the surrounding and hear the screams of the dying........sure it gives you a low score as opposed to doing it the hard way as to avoid human casualties.

Iirc, in the original show, Optimus and Prowl were very careful not to injure the "humans". Maybe add that game mechanic.......less destruction, a goody goody trophy etc.

You are confusing "Gameplay" with "engine."

Also, Wolfenstein: The New Order, which I understood fully the moment they gave me a gun. Assuming you mean the actual definition of "intuitive" that is, knowing the game's controls by intuition. People tend to use buzzwords like "Engine" "intuitive" "immersion" etc. etc. without fully understanding what those words mean. While we're at it, any given Nintendo game, they all happen to be highly intuitive. Oh, and the Batman Arkham games.

Also also, and this is important, anything from the PS2 era or prior is outdated by now. Saying a game was the best of its kind on the PS2 is like saying it was the finest ship in WW1; we have better ships now.

Not to pile on, but ZOE is Konami IP and Activision currently owns the Transformers license. Platinum have made games for multiple publishers.

Pile on what? Nothing you said has anything to do with what anyone just said. Like I said, Platinum didn't have an hand in Zone of the Enders, that was Konami themselves who developed it.

I love the visuals for this, plus

Platinum Games.

Also, anybody else notice how the character models take cues from their classics toys?

Bumblebee's backpack is classics bee,
Megatron's legs are totally CW Leader Megs.

Those battlecharger drones totally have the Generations Wheeljack mould about them in the backpack and the legs.

I cannot wait for this. DLC characters would only sweeten the pot.

Myself, I wonder if there will be online features in this game and more playable characters. If not, then this game will pass.

Also, why release information about this is at the last minute? Do the developers have no faith in the success of this game?

Take a look at these original Studio Ox designs and a comparison pic. If this could only be done again or do ala DGZ, a re-animated G1 using theses designs or something to that effect. :x

Didn't notice you were still yapping again or should I say stalking my posts again so here goes the gasoline on the fire.................Who said I was confused? And who are you to say which is good then and not now? That is my opinion. You're just Shadowman. One of the many anonymous Seibertron posters/members. Where in my post did I say use the already aged engine/gameplay of PS2? Ever heard of tweaking an engine? that should have been a given. Build upon what was good. My gawd, do I have to spell everything down? Kind of like the mentality of pre-schooler. Is this what's it's like now? No more use of common sense?

Btw, using your analogy for battleships etc, new and high tech isn't always better. Take the ATF......lots of bugs to iron out. Sure it's got stealth and all but also turns their pilot unconscious. The aged F-15 Eagle on the other hand is still kicking @ss!

Windows XP, of course open to hacking etc etc but compared to Vista and Windows 8? I'm enumerating these examples so as to make sure it gets digested mentally. >:oP

Okay, haven't read all of the comments.

I did read "the game G1 fans have been waiting for"
Awesome graphics, such cool style, is it on xbox, is it on
playstation.

Does anyone.
Have any idea.
What kind of game it is?
As in gameplay?

Even if it looks exactly like the G1 movie, with all of the bloody g1 characters including Hauler & Skids.
I still wouldn't be excited if it was a point & click game.

What genre? Hack 'n Slash? Third Person Shooter?
Racing game? Soccer game? Real Time Strategy?

I think we can expect more than Candy Crush for 53 dollars right?

Firaxis did that with XCOM 2. They only just announced it a few weeks ago, and it's coming out in November this year.

At the very least, we should hope for this to not be as bad a G1 game as this awful game was:

Platinum almost exclusively does hack'n'slash or beat 'em up games.

Thanks to Stumpybot and Jon 3.0 for providing us the link to the newly unveiled 2015 E3 trailer to Platinum's upcoming game: Transformers Devastation. Aside from the great visuals we now see in action, the trailer also informs us that it will be available on PS4/PS3, XBOX One/ XBOX 360 AND PC.

The video comes from Rabidretrospectgames' youtube page:

This will be a hack and slash / beatem up game. Like Madworld, Bayonetta and Asura's Wrath, I presume.
