How 'bout beast machines night viper, armada Unicron, and, maybe even the cw gestalts?

Looks like you have better judgment than me on this. If ever you wish to make that list, I would be ok with it. I just dont want to have to count all the joints and come out with a number and then look at the five with the highest number. There isnt anything subjective about a list like this.

I don't own enough figures to do that, I would certainly be called out on it; especially since I don't own any of the mp series; but I can throw out ideas here and there ;)

I hate how they make the new Transformers, taking away the electronics , gimmicks, and action features of the eighties. That's what made them cool. Like making the combiners that don't combine, or separate into the five or six component parts. I mean what's the point of that?

I wouldnt want to be called out on it either. It<s also a kind of list that anyone can find or do for themselves since its factual like "top 5 highest grossing films". There is no need to an opinion or explanation on that, its just facts. Maybe best articulted figures could work, but then we would have to decide what is articulated and what isnt. In short, not a list I would look forward to do. BUT if anyone has ideas on how to do a fun list dealin with articulation, or wants to do on, I am all ears :D

Articulation has taken away all of the cool features (eg. Lights, sounds, motorized effects, spring loaded projectiles, even the ability to transfomer which is what defines a Tranformer. Stop this madness.

This may have been mentioned in this thread, but I'm far too lazy to read the entire thing. How about a list of toys that had our wishes granted? A top 5 toys we wanted and eventually got?

Never mentioned and AMAZING idea. The only thing is that I also have a list of top Giant Transformers... and I feel a few might get repeated. I'll see if I can diversify them.

And this is what makes these Transformers and G1 the best!

I think RID Air Attack Primal is a glaring omission and beats probably all of them aside from Omega Supreme.............As for articulated, I wouldnt know where to start. Wouldnt it just be all MPs?

G1 is the best. Thank you for backing me up on G1 Omega Supreme; I see your OS fanboy.

Masterpiece my ass, none of them have cool electronics, action features, spring loaded projectiles, motors, etc.

Articulation is over-rated. We did not care about that as kids, at least not most kids. When did we lose that child-like imagination of playing with our 80's toys that had little to no articulation, but had gimmicks that wowed of for hours on end and was the reason we asked our parents to buy us those toys.

If you reread you will see that I was not talking about Masterpieces when I was talking about best electronics. Someone asked me for a list on best articulation and I was responding to them in the same reply. I just meant that the best articulation is found in the Masterpiece Line. That had nothing to do with electronics.

I wasn't directing the criticism at you or electronics. I was just expressing my opinion of why I like G1 better. I was not thinking about you at all.

:( :-(

Just messing, thanks for your interest! And I like G1 too, I wish Hasbro could rerelease them all like what happened with the Ninja Turtles and Power Rangers recently.

Is the reason why adults just want a whole bunch of articulation is that they've lost the imagination to play? They have to have everything spelled out for them; they can't connect the dots.

Maybe that's why old people like flip phones and the physical button on the blackberry, why have more articulation than the touch screen iPhone?

The Masterpiece G1 line is tops. The G1 Masterpiece still has action features? When will they make G1 Omega Supreme and Computron?

For those who didnt see it yet, we have a new list for you which is getting some heated debate:
Top 5 Best Ironhide Transformers Toys

Also, there was a change done to the Best Tank list which I feel is more representative of the good tank toys available now.

That is a fun one! Cool idea. With so many comics, top ten might be the way to go.

Top 5 Underrated Shelf-warmer Figures:

Toys that, although nobody was buying them, are actually pretty good and could be great without the stigma of doing nothing but taking up shelf space.
