Appearance: Saferoute's alt. mode is a typical yellow school bus, capable of carrying up to 77 human passengers. In her robot mode the front roof and windows split and fold down to make her arms and the back third of the bus splits to form her legs. The front hood of the bus folds back to reveal her head. Her robot mode is tall and bulky, her torso is black with a red Autobot insignia, while her arms and legs orangish yellow.

Saferoute joined the Autobots for one reason, and one reason only: To save and protect the small, weaker species that the Decepticons want to enslave or exterminate.
Always a lover of animals, whenever she came across a wounded petro rabbit, or a turbofox that had been shot during a hunt, or any other injured creature, she would take them to her home and nurse them back to health. She grew attached to many of these animals, spending most of her time playing with them. Her attachment would grow to the point where she would talk to them as if she could understand them, and considered them to be far close friends than any member of her own kind.
When the war started to break out she ignored the politics and avoided joining sides, instead focussing all of her efforts to protecting the creatures that she had cared so much for. Unfortunately Saferoute found herself alone in this endevour, and as hard as she fought to preserve the animals she loved, the Decepticon war machine was too much for her to overcome . Her spark sank as she saw most of Cybertron's wildlife become extinct, their habitat's devastated into lifeless wastelands.
Seeing little hope that animals woud ever flourish on her home planet again, she finally joined the Autobots just before the population left the planet. Now she fights to protect the indigenous species on other planets from the Decepticons tyranny, to prevent what happened on Cybertron to happen on other worlds.
Abilities: Saferoute's main function is to evacuate smaller lifeforms away from hostile areas. On Earth she does this as a yellow school bus which can carry up to 77 humans. Her bus mode has a maximum speed of 135 MPH , with a range of 950 miles. Her bus mode is equipped with seat belts, air bags and bullet-proof, shatter-resistant glass to protect any occupants inside. Her bus mode is also equipped with dual lasers inside her headlights, and a missile launcher above the windshield, which can be used for combat or to blow away any obstacles in her path. In robot mode she has above average stength and durability, and weilds a laser rifle.
Weaknesses: Saferoute has poor manueverability and acceleration in her bus mode, unable to make sharp turns. Her robot mode is also bulky, awkward and slow. Her love of animals is a constant source of problems within the Autobot ranks. She will frequently ignore orders and risk the well-being of herself and her fellow Autobots if she sees a small creature in danger. Though she claims to talk to and understand most species, she is merely acting on intuition and does not have any real way to translate the various sounds of less intelligent creatures.
