Well that's a matter of taste and opinion, and everyone has their own. What's the worst for me might not be the worst for you.

And we're talking 40 years of a bunch of continuities.

For me, I'd have to go with the Prime Wars trilogy as THE worst. It's truly the only series I never wanted to see again. Beast Machines is also up (or down) there, and I've only ever seen it once in the last 25 years. But I think I might despise it a little less now that I'm older, so I might watch it again soon. Honorable mention goes to Energon as well.

And despite Kingdom being the worst of WFC, I have seen that trilogy 3 times so far, and if I ever get Netflix back I might watch it again.

And Sabrblade, for a reason I can't identify or explain, the fact that the toys were copied onto the screen down to their screwholes actually appealed to me. It seemed that for the 1st time ever I actually saw on screen exactly what I had on my shelves and in my hands. Even if some of the previous lines actually came pretty close.

Ooops, I may have put the Netflix show and the Prime Wars trilogy in the same bag. I never saw the Netflix show so I have no rights to judge.
#-o

When I said that the Netflix show was "hot garbage", in my mind it was the Prime Wars Trilogy and ONLY that.

But I've yet to see the Netflix trilogy.

More like we got some pretty decent figures in spite of the cartoon, since the figures were made first; the cartoon just used the toy designs right down to the screw hole details.

Which amuses me in terms of "G1 designs", since the iconic animation models for the early G1 cartoon/comics were infamous for looking nothing at all like their toy counterparts...

Haven't summoned the energy to watch either the Machinima or Netflix series yet, the few bits I have seen have done a pretty good job at turning me off them. Much like Energon/Cybertron, I'd much rather watch actual animation than a bunch of giant-sized toys moving around (Energon being particularly egregious for barely even trying to animate the CAD models).

I would LOVE to see the first 3 episodes of the original cartoon re-animated with their ACTUAL toy look. No CGI. Pure hand-drawn.

eh, it'd be interesting to see but I think I much prefer the look of the animation models as characters - I mean, imagine trying to take Toy!Megatron seriously as a villain, or having Bumblebee with his Micro Change proportions. Or Diaclone Ratchet! But to each their own, I guess.

--EDIT
Maybe I was just scarred by The Enemy Within as a kid!

@ZucchinnaArt on twitter redraws scenes from the cartoon with the characters in their toy designs. She's really good at making them look like they were drawn in that rough 80's animation style! She also does some animation as well. Check her out!

Aha, I saw Chris McFeely repost one of her compilations the other day but hadn't checked out the rest of her account. Her Greenlight really put me in mind of Call of the Primitives in its proportions & styling. Really like that Path Finder too. Thanks for the rec!

If you have all the figures, endless patience, and a WHOLE lot of time, you could do a stop-motion reenactment of MTMTE.

I'm actually thinking about doing this if SS86 is ever completed and we get EVERY movie character.
