According to the CYBERGEEKS Alliance Facebook, these Machine Robo figures are indeed coming from Action Toys and not Bandai (making them not be Soul of Chogokin figures), they each about the height of Classics Bumblebee and Masterpiece Bumble, just under 5 inches (so smaller than a typical Transformers Deluxe), they will be about 50 bucks each, and more info to be found through the link.

Thanks! God, I hope they do a Pathfinder.
How prominent was Pathfinder's Machine Robo counterpart in the Revenge of Chronos series?

We have to remember that these are being made in accordance to the Machine Robo series, rather than GoBots, so with only 9 designs, they'll likely be just the most prominent ones from Machine Robo: Revenge of Chronos.

*Shrugs* Damned if I know. But that was my favorite design/character. She's the one I want the MOST.

Trying to find more info about this, but I can't seem to find anything about UFO Robo (Japanese Path Finder) having been in the Revenge of Chronos series. So... I dunno either.

Maybe JelZe might know.

Still can't help but think that Hasbro's recent GoBots activity is somehow related to all of this.

Those Gobots...

Image

I. WILL. BUY. THEM. ALL!!!

No, seriously. It may take a while, I may load my credit card, but damn, I wished for too long for updated Gobots and we finally are getting them. The may not have the TF brand name attached to them, but THEY ARE OFFICIAL FROM THE GOBOTS CREATORS THEMSELVES. They also look amazing from every angles and look like little MPs. So, yeah, I WILL get them.

:x :x :x :x :x

To give a rough indication of which figures are eligible, here are the ones featured in the Revenge of Cronos toy line and anime. The "Non-Toy Cameos" are Machine Robo figures that have not been re-released for the anime, yet are still featured:

Battle Tribe
Rod Drill (Screw Head)
Patrol Car Robo (Hans-Cuff)
Skyline Robo (Tailpipe)
Missile Robo (Blaster)
Steam Robo (Loco)
Buggy Robo (Buggyman)
Ambulance Robo (Rest-Q)
Porsche Robo (white Crasher)
Countach Robo (Spoiler)
Jeep Robo (Geeper Creeper)
Super Car Robo (Turbo)
Bike Robo (Cy-Kill)
Battle Robo (Tank)
Harley Robo (Night Ranger)
Fire Robo (Pumper)
New Shinkansen Robo
Battleship Robo (Man-O-War)

Non-Toy Cameos:
Trailer Robo (Road Ranger)
Offroad Robo (Small Foot)
Submarine Robo (Dive-Dive)
Limousine Robo (Tux)
Scooter Robo (Scooter)
Highway Robo
Crane Robo (Crain Brain)
Dump Robo (Dumper)
Doubledecker Bus Robo

Jet Tribe
Blue Jet (Fitor)
Falcon Robo (Heat Seeker)
Apollo Robo
Shuttle Robo (Spay-C)
Phantom Robo (Mach-3)
Blackbird Robo (Snoop)
Eagle Robo (Leader-1)
Cessna Robo (Water Walk)

Non-Toy Cameos:
Harrier Robo (Royal-T)
Vertol Robo (Twin Spin)
Kaman Robo (Flip-Top)

So no Pathfinder I'm afraid.

The anime also features the W (Double) Machine Robo, two Big Machine Robo (Staks and Spay-C), Martial Arts Robo, the two Power Suit combiners (Courageous and the tank one) as well as some Rock Lords, so we may see those too.

Just what I need...another line to collect. :BOOM:

These do look really awesome! And if they are short deluxe sized, I am very impressed with the engineering. I would definitely like to have these on a shelf somewhere, but it will depend on the price.

Cy-kill has a much friendlier face here. I think I will have to break out my Machine Robo DVDs and actually watch them. Who knows, they might be more watchable than the Challenge of the GoBots...

As in, they're not by Tonka or Hasbro, the creator and current owner of the franchise respectively. They're (supposedly) outsourced by Bandai, the creator of the original toys. :)

Close enough. At least, those are not unlicensed 3rd party products so that's what really count. :-B

Leader-1 and Cy-kill are what it's all about for me. If these are MP BB sized, then these will look alright in my Classics collection - which is all that matters to me. I have the 3rd party Cy-kill and I used the 3rd party Leader-1 head on a KO Starscream body (it's getting painted by someone too), and I still want these! They look amazing.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know if the episodes never released on DVD stateside ever got subtitled by a group? I have the 3 official DVDs and love the animation and storytelling of Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos but I can't understand Japanese enough to follow the story fully, even though I am willing to (I found all of it on youtube). I tried using the auto-translate feature for subtitles on youtube, but it is way not good.

50$ each for these guys is steep, but looks worthwhile.

The ones I have are subtitled. From Amazon, Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos Vol 1, Vol 2, and Vol 3.

Yeah, I have those DVD releases as well, but that isn't even half of the series and the other volumes were never released stateside.

holyshit how did I miss these...well looks like we're gonna need some bigger shelves. My classics verse will be really happy with these! So are they confirmed at 50 a fig. or was that speculation? Hope we do get some rocklords!!!

At the very least the Gattai Saurer aka Fossilsaurus, as he played a major role in the anime (though he's modeled more after the prototype). Released in Japan and Europe, but sadly not in the US.

That'd be dope.
I would also hope for Devil Satan Six, with anime accurate weapons. Blue Jet seems to have anime accurate swords, so it is possible.
And, honestly, I am okay with 50$ per. Like, its a collectors toy of a product line that, unlike transformers, hasn't been around all that much in its later years. It's bound to be well made, as most (not all) japanese market exclusive collectibles are. I hope that they spruce up the paint jobs a little more for the final release, the colours on Bike-Robo from those photos looked a little... thickly applied, like they weren't the final iteration.
