Would you mind showing me what you are reffering to when comparing prices? Because they are always more expensive, and not by a little, but by a lot.

Here is a zord selling on the UK for instance https://www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/pow ... d/p/167513

The Japanese version, Shuriken Sentai ninninger Shuriken coalescence DX Geki Atsu Dio, was selling for at least double that price when he first came out. Plus you, as someone in the UK, would have been stuck having to import it.

And quality for Super Sentai figures is the same in Japan as in the rest of the world.

To be fair, and this is my falling, I was comparing the prices with what they were when the toyline first started 93/94...and forgetting to account for inflation and all that jazz. So my apologies there. I still think we get the raw end of the deal though regarding features and quality on some of the toys, though I was genuinely surprised when I read that the lion fortress megazord was actually smaller in Japan. Buy still, I think they got the better ninja steel megazord, even though it had a hefty price tag.

We arent comparing apples to apples. Of couse the zords released outside Japan are of lesser quality, with less parts and no electronics. But they are also half the price. Its like saying that people who buy the POTP leader Optimus are getting a raw deal over people who buy MP 10 since Generations toys have less paint and less complex transformations.

Or its like comparing those minipla kits to the actual zords. Its different toys that dont cost the same.

When considering the price, I feel we are getting more in the western releases since we get basically the same complexty at half the price. I am particularly happy to have the cheaper option so I can enjoy another giant robot toyline without indebting myself too much and I am glad they are smaller too.

Plus, I dont need electronics, same with many fans.

Anyways, here is a review to sum up what I mean when saying we arent gettign a raw deal at all, when you consier the price.

I can see your point, though I still wish the ninja steel megazord had kept some of the things from the Japanese release, like the yellow zord having the fist be able to be hidden, the trains to have stayed attached to the hips, which instead disconnected to the changes done to the blue dragon zord. C'est la vie I know. You are right on the electronics mind, I think even kids today are bored with them to an extent.

Now we'll see what hasbro will do...though what did the Japanese releases from this series even look like in the first place...to Google!

Oh I agree on wanting these to be better. The worst part for me is the way the dragon zord is done with the wings not being 2 detahcable peices. It makes the dragon megazord mode look even dumber than it would have been. But at the price i paid, I cant complain too much.

The Bullrider zord and blaze zord were much better.

But you know, when it comes to the Dino Charge line, the western realeses were pretty awesome (except the Titanozord). We even got exclusive zords Japan never got and they were some of the best!

Like an amonite zord

I missed out in the Dino charge line sadly and I did like the look of the line, I thought it looked a lot better than the super Masterforce line (well zords anyway)

Its the best toyline we have gotten since they stopped using the Japanese molds. Sorry you missed it.

It was the show that got me back into it, and got me ito colelcting the toys again. Its very hard for me to say no to big robot dinosaurs.

My wife likes the show too, but mainly because she found Chase very handsome. He did a good job, I hope he finds work elsewhere.

Oh and one other cool thing about our zords over the Japanese ones, they are all compatible with oneanother. I run through a bunch of possible combinations here: viewtopic.php?f=206&t=101930&p=1845068&hilit=zord#p1845068

I'm eyeing that black repaint of GX-72. Out of curiosity, does Bandai sell their SDCC exclusives online after the convention like Hasbro?

Looks like my friend who attended SDCC was able to snag me a GX-72B! Any retailers out there still offer Dragonzord at a discount?

GX-85 Titanus was available for pre-order from the usual Japanese retailers. It sold out from most of the places that don't require payment upfront. Still available from Amazon JP (where I ordered from, about $250 shipped to US), A-E, and Amazon US.

https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B07 ... UTF8&psc=1

http://www.anime-export.com/product/41221

https://www.amazon.com/Tamashii-Nations ... 85+titanus

Not sure why anyone would go with Amazon US at $280 + tax when it's significantly cheaper from Amazon JP, and you'll get it a month sooner.

So my GX-72B had a slight fall and the front pieces of the battle mask part came off. The right side tabs back in securely but the left does not. Does anyone know if these pieces securely click in or not meant to come off at all (glued in)?. I can probably add a bit of glue to keep the piece from coming off, but wondering if there is a better way. Basically the left part comes off if you even breathe on it too much. The right side could use a little glue for extra security tbh.

I saw both sets at Barnes & Nobles before Christmas, thank you Tamashii Nations! May get them, but they're pricey: Shogun is $75 and Ninja + Falcon a whopping $100! Speaking of both sets, here's another channel to check out, PonTV Candy Toy:

Detailing the assembly and stickering with decent music if that's more one's thing. Worth noting is that Muteki Shogun is regular retail, while Kakure Daishogun + Tsubasamaru is a Premium Bandai exclusive.

They're around the price of the Legacy releases, only smaller but more articulated. Food for thought. :-?

Oh yeah, Chuck's review reminded me that I've started seeing Beast Morphers figures at Walmart. So far just the action figures. They look pretty nice with very good sculpting, decent paint, and well articulated. Not bad for $10.

The main zords will only be available in fall. What I noticed is that it seems full on production came before hasbro acually aquired the rights to the brand itself since the Saban name is all over the toys. The figures look better than anything Bandai of America ever did. they look tempting and more worth it than previous efforts. plus its super cool that they each come with an activation key (you had to buy those seperately before URGH!)

I did see some Bots though at Walmart. one is a gorilla bot with a steering wheel face (cool design), dont know what it does. the other is a red robot which transforms into a motorcyle. However, it is a 100% partsformer, which is too bad.
