Appearance: Amethyst has the identical build of many Seekers whom share the same bodily traits as their Commander Starscream. He wears a squared black helmet and has red optics, except his face is a lighter silver color. The majority of his body is painted violet (wings, his general frame, upper arms and mounted guns, and lower legs). He has black feet and some black plating on his leg armor as well as black hands. His chest armor, hip armor, shoulder vents, thighs and arm joints are a basic silver color like his face. His wings are decorated like all of the Seekers', with red and white stripes on the edges and bearing the Decepticon emblem. In his alt-mode he is an almost completely violet F-15 Eagle fighter net with some black and chrome parts and having a darkly tinted cockpit.
Profile: A ruthless sky jockey who enjoys running his enemies into the ground, Amethyst engages the enemy in high speed dogfights at maximum altitudes then power drives straight down. He enjoys pulling up at the last second and sending his opponent crashing to the ground. At least, that’s just his favorite thing to do to his enemies, or is it? Just as much as he likes daredevil flying and confusing and crashing his enemies, he likes to make them into charbroiled heaps of molten metal. He likes to think through his moves and plan his attacks accordingly, aiming to hurt his opponents where it’ll hurt them the most. If one plan doesn't work out, he usually has a backup plan, and if that doesn't work, he knows when to bail. Other than this, he is usually very obedient, rarely if ever questioning authority ( at least not openly).
Outside of combat, he is a rather well-mannered mech and is quite personable, easily making friends with other like-minded individuals. Like the majority of the Decepticons in the Seeker Squadrons, he is devoutly loyal to the Decepticon cause and wouldn't want it any other way, despite having certain doubts about the Leadership and some orders given at times. Also, as is the way of the Seekers, his brothers in arms are kept closer to him than any of the other Decepticons, and he believes they come first and foremost in importance. This doesn't mean he is without respect and gratitude for other cons though. He’s happy to get to know any con who would speak to him in an equally respecting manner. He can either be your greatest ally or your worst nightmare. Take it or leave it. If you mess with him, he won't forget it. He just won't let you know how much you hurt his feelings, as he seems very pleasant most of the time, unless he’s overcome with fear.
Abilities: In jet mode, Amethyst is one of the fastest fliers. He can reach the top speed of Mach 3.5, but he can also accelerate to the velocity where he can break free of a planet's gravitational field. Can fly very fast at low altitudes, skimming across the terrain and dodging obstacles with death-defying accuracy. His signature weapons, the concentrated magma flamethrowers can spit deadly bursts of superheated fuel to about 0.8 miles. He can shoot these bursts of flaming magma as a continuous stream, or rapidly fire them in small bursts as a barrage of "flaming magma bullets". The temperature of the magma is hot enough to melt solid titanium upon impact, and also sets the target on fire, making his signature weapon quite deadly. Besides his flamethrowers, Amethyst has laser rifles he can use in his robot mode, and cluster bombs he can use in either mode.
Weaknesses: Amethyst's flamethrowers require frequent maintenance in order to operate properly. If his weapons are not checked and kept clean they can become clogged and explode because of internal pressure and heat. Amethyst also has a tendency to become overconfident in his abilities and make miscalculations at times.
