Its all good on the questions. Let me take a look at my TR Megatron and i will get back to you on that one in a day or so. On some of my TRs I did remove some body pieces to stream line their looks so with Megatron I know i had removed the wings and perhaps the turret as well. Again i will check him out and see what i can do for you.

Appreciate your kind words. On the Collection forum, it tends to be a hit or miss on who might respond. I have one guy who tends to respond pretty regularly on my forum, especially when i addd something to the collection. Good part, i get a notification whenever you post something or when he does and that way i can respond in a timely matter.

Again, no worries on the questions, glad to help in any way I can.

You have a good day as well,

SGM

So with hopes of showing you this version, unfortunately my copy i had removed the turret piece along with wings. I could do TR Blitzwing, however the main difference is the barrel on the turret is longer than on the one for Megatron.

I have included a photo of Combiner Wars Megatron. Have to say i like his tank mode much better and the robot mode isn’t too bad.

I do apologize I wasn’t much help on this topic.

Have a blessed day,

From this angle of the image (Its hard to tell) it seems he looks fine without the wings. I've heard about the leader megatron but I have a budget and he'd have to shrink to become galvatron.

How is the tr though? If I bought it I'd remove the tank wings, and order a peice to fill in the thrusters.

Is classics/universe a good figure, even with the shelforming?

Have you handled the Rts or Chronicle megatron?

Thank you for your time, no one got as far as you anyway ;)

I would say overall the TR version is not bad. My copy has loose knee joints, that would be my only complaint. Yes, it would have been nice if he had a hip swivel. I took some more photos of him to reference and robot mode photo. If you do get this guy, i would definitely take those wings off and using the photo i took, you can see having the wings off he looks much better in robot mode. Also i robot mode you can se what i did with his weapon; taking both pieces and painted them black to match.
I didn’t realize they made something to cover those thrusters, thats really cool. That would definitely make the front much better looking for sure.

In regards to the Classics Megatron, he is ok. My only nit pick with him is the legs, they are not that posable in robot mode. They are just weird in that design. Then you have the weapon halves behind him, they kind of take away the robot mode part, hence why i have them now on the wall in weapon mode.

I have never handled the rats Megatron nor this Chronicle Megatron. In fact, i never heard of the Chronicle version, had to look it up. I have my original G1 Megatron toy which the Chronicle one replicates. Its definitely a different toy for sure, more so how the legs are designed. I know i played the hell out of mine.

Hopefully this response helps you and gives you a better idea. Any other questions please feel free to ask, i will do what i can.

AH! Now I have to make another decision, and fast!

I was trying to decide which Cyclonus to get, but the issue sorta...doubled itself
I could get the old chug deluxe, it is cheaper, comes with a target master, but has no waste swivel (And I´d have to make my own right hand)
The kingdom is down in prices, so I might want to act now it I choose it. But I like the Selects Color scheme more and it has no nightstick target master
The Selects is in the 40-50 price range. It has excellent articulation, a targetmaster, and a better color scheme. But I have heard of QC issues and I´m not sure if I should pay that much or get a cheaper one

I was even considering the deluxe, but then I realized.....
If Cyclonus is a deluxe scourge has to be too
I was already considering the universe for the sweeps, and I want to be able to tell them apart from their master.
The TR is bad, but I found a custom wing spread. Maybe it´d work If I got the wings painted blue and it transforms fully
The titanium is voyager surprisingly
the one based off Cybertron sideways is way too much for costs
I´ve seen customs based off animated deluxe Megatron, but I´m not sure if it is a good idea (Do I see he has transparent plastic on the arms?)
Maybe a custom based of prime Megatron?

So in other words,
HELP!
:BANG_HEAD: :BOOM: :-?

Well lets see if i can help somewhat on this dilemma on your choice for a version of Cyclonus.

I will start with the Voyager Kindgom version versus the GS version. If it came down to cost, Kingdom version would be the route. If you are liking the colors of the GS version and can get past the QC issues of the loose shoulders then that could be the one to buy. Personally i like the GS version better even with the issues mentioned. I even tried to tighten up the screws but still seems to be loose. I haven’t tried any other nifty tricks to fix the shoulders which i am sure there are other ways. I will say, GameStop in the US has the GS Cyclonus on sale for 36.99 and Hasbro Pulse has him at the normal price of 38.99. So when you add shipping, you are clipping the 40 dollar mark if not going over just a bit, if you can go that route price wise. Which could be cheaper than what is listed on eBay. I don't know what other sites are selling him at.

Then compared to the deluxe size you mentioned along with that Scourge, i guess you have to ask yourself, do you want deluxe size or Voyager for what you are wanting them for. I would still go with the later versions based on what you wrote.

Not sure if that helps any,

One question: by shattered glass do you mean the selects toy color or the old deluxe cyclonus that was redecod in shattered glass?

I honestly had forgotten about that version but my reference was based on the selects toy version.

Looks like it can transform correctly

How much do you think it´d cost to to commision this but with the wings also painted blue and possible a waist swivel?
https://www.tfw2005.com/boards/threads/custom-tr-scourge.1195369/

how hard would it be to give the old deluxe Cyclonus a waist swivel? (and would it interfere with his transformation?)

And any idea if I can purchase a maketoys hurricaneupgrade kit for the deluxe cyclonus?

Which one did you decided on?

On your previous post, pretty cool custom job, I wouldn’t have any idea how much that would cost. Not sure if you can ask the person that did it but that could be an option to find out.

You´ll have to wait to find out my decision, but feel free to guess
I tried commenting on the custom, no firm response.
Thank you for all the comments, you are the only one left who takes any interest in my page. Anyone else would only reply to yell at me.

Well looking forward to seeing which one you got.

In regards to answering, like i said i try to respond to some on here and lately I’ve been lazy not to post anything on my page. Don’t let it bother you about anyone not replying, which i know you don’t but i only get one person most the time who replies on mine, or at least i know he will respond in some form. Its just what happens. Plus, i guess for me, its easier, I'm retired. But by saying that, I shouldn’t be lazy not post stuff myself, hahaha. I have enjoyed trying to respond to your questions or to help out the best i can.

Have a blessed day!

Reveal is correct!
20221020_215325.jpg

I suprisingly chose reveal the sheild battle in space deluxe cyclonus
I've been thinking recently that I am putting way too much stock in my collection
It seems to keep growing, the boundaries expanding. And I remember when I was satisfied with the cheaper versions of transformers. RTS deluxe Cyclonus isn't that bad. An interesting time capsule, and my first target master as well as my first rub sign! Nightstick has neat articulation for a target master, and acuratee to the cartoon while gen selects is accurate to nothing! More G1 esqe proportions, and a few points of Idw styalyzation. (Most notably the back legs an, I am assuming, the high shoulders) another cool feature is the arm detail is actually a transformation slot! Articulation is alright,. I'm forgiving the waist swivel black, but the arms don't have a swivel above elbow. Takes away a little articulation, but close to two hindes I can see why it isnt there, and it could be much worse. There is some side kibble from the transformation, though I pretend it is styalyzation. A nice height too! Transformation is interesting, but the legs dont tab into each other all the way, the side gaps covered by the arms. Still a gab in the back of the alt mode though. The transformation involves sliders, which I hope won't break. Alt mode is neat, I am fine with the gap between the thrusters, and It has retractable landing gear.

Overall I would recommend this to someone who wants a cheaper but still good option or someone who dislikes their selects nightstick.

Do I regret it? Not yet.

Nice choice for your Cyclonus. I have that version as well and agree he is not that bad of a toy. It seems like you are happy with the choice and that is all that matters.

Talking about your collection growing. Unintentionally, it can grow before your eyes and before you know it you are staring at a great deal more on your shelf than what you intended on having. Thats kind of how mine went in ways.
