That is a great shot!
Jagpanthers are hard to fight too. They're squirrely, and surly, and mean as all get out!

Nice haul Billy! ;)^
Can't wait to trade notes on Trypticon.

I was poking around the collections forum and realized I hadn't received a notification from here in ages. I'm back and ready to jam! :michaelbay:
Sorry I fell off.

Neat! How's that Tidal Wave? He may not be very accurate but he looks really cool (stickers aside). I actually think he looks better than Broadside- if we get a Legends release of him with paint instead of stickers (unlikely I know but it would be nice) I'd buy it to be honest.

I actually reckon with the right head (either a Shapeways faceplate or the Nitro Zeus head) he'd make a decent Shockwave. Aside from the obvious reference- his Japanese name in ML- the colours are very Shockwave-esque, he's been a ship before in Hearts of Steel, and with some fanmoding you could probably make a sort of ray gun...thing mode for him.

Tidal wave is pretty great. Not as a replacement for the tidal wave we already have but as a cool looking robot who shares that same name. He has a real premium feel with the paint apps. Takara will not be making their own version, that is for sure.

Anyways, I am satarting on my next photo project. It will take a while but once i get Overlord I will have every single base bot in TR.

I'm totes jealous of your Siege and Trypy :x
I gotta admit, for as much as our fandom complains about the cost of things, I'm surprised I haven't seen any about Trypticon. In Canadabux anyways, the Titan Class jumped up by $50. I'm waiting for my Legends Trypy preorder to hit... and I was going to get both... but damn. Coupons and sales even, I don't know if I can justify it.

Holy, Tidal Wave doesn't have stickers??! You've no idea how happy that makes me!

Also I didn't know until I opened my Deluxe Megs that he had a new head

At toysrus, the titan class only jumped by 5$. Fort Max was 225$ CAD. So this price was around the ballpark of what i was expecting. Plus, I am far more willing to spend the big bucks on a fully new mold, and of a version that does improve on the original.

With him being 10% off, and the additional 10% off and 20$ off coupon, he came out to 166$ CAD before tax. My long term goal was to get him at 150 but he has proven more popular than Fort Max so I didnt think I could find him on at that price later. 166$ felt fine (thats also cheaper than US MSRP by 20$).

I knew he had a new head but not that it would look like this. I thought it would really be like a movie head with the battle mask covering his entire face. But this Ares type mask was really neat and I feel we are not alone in being surprised by the look of it.

As for Tidal Wave, he does have stickers. I was referring to the paint apps he did have. They use the same paint you find on Unite Warriors Cyclonus. Its gorgeous and its all across his plane wings. And he has nice paint apps from torso down which adds a fun colour variation that broadside doesnt have.

Oh and sorry for the extra discount on your exclusive deluxes not working out, I had not realized you had used a coupon when I first made the comment.

I really really dont know. I bought the Movie the Best leader Prime and I think he does a decent job at looking the part. The transformation seems better and less frustrating than this new one. Plus he will be very pricey in Canada. I just dont know. Its not like BB where I didnt have anything remotely close to an MP version that scaled well with Leader Prime. We will see.

If you do get the MPM, wait for Takara to release their (hopefully revised) version. The colours are better, and IIRC the Hasbro version has some serious flaws.

I read somewhere that the deluxe's head was a little bit more of a G1-y take on the TLK head, but this is the first time I am really noticing the different styled head. It looks sexy!

And my siege set comes this week with Godbomber! I cannot wait! Tidal Wave was the one I was on the fence with, but he looks really good in hand.

And Thunderwing is set to be paired with Nitro Zeus! I'll talk about that in the Den some. Got a full head canon thing and everything!

Please let me know how you find that Magnus Prime and his legs/feet. I am having such a difficult time posing him properly. He is really pissing me OFF

I will let you know. I am trying to decide if I will combine or just transform them first. Those 2 are really up there on my list.

And with Metalhawk and God Ginrai (essentially), I think I may do a japanese G1 shelf when I get a house/apartment with more room to shelf figures. I will have Overlord, God Ginrai, Liokaiser, Shuffler, Ramhorn, Lione, Metalhawk, and Artfire. Though Artfire may go to a MP only shelf. Or God Ginrai will go to a Super Prime shelf to include Optimus Maximus, DotM Prime, and Jetfire/Prime combination.

I have many ideas, just need to figure it out in practice

You've almost convinced me I need an Overlord. Almost.

You HAVE convinced me I need the Sky Shadow version of the mold at some point though, I need that mold in my life.

It still bewilders me that they chose Black Shadow as the Leader and Thunderwing as the Headmaster-only. I would have thought the reverse would have made more sense. Oh well.

Oh and I guarantee I will...eventually. For now I need not to buy anything else due to personal circumstances that I shan't bore you with. But yeah, dear lord he looks so cool. A massive Decepticon with black and red colours and a tank as a component? Hell yeah!

In a year of Movie MPs, more Beat Wars MPs, that cool new TLK Megatron design, and a year where we finally got Overlord in North America, I Sky Shadow will get toy of the year from me when it is all said and done.

Nope, he's about #6 at the most at the moment
