I guess I just gotta get more comfy transforming Blues, itscramtastic! I do still want Blue-Bluestreak, but this TRU version is pretty hawt. ;)

The only MPs (or equivalent!) on my list are the ones in my sig....for some reason, only one of them is an Autobot!

I'll of course collect TRs and more, but the MPs are what cost the most....and generally look the best. Although I've gotten plenty of enjoyment out of CHUGs as well.

I finally transformed Soundpad (is that what he's called? I like it!), and it was fun! He looks pretty cool, and can almost hold his own against the MP.

At a fraction of the cost though, I'd say he's worth picking up if you can dig the redux. :CON:

You know what? That Soundpad looks pretty dang awesome. He reminds me of Prime/RiD AND Bayverse! Crazy.

Having Bluestreak, Silverstreak, and Bluestreak is the dream bodrock!! Someday..

Mentioning the Datsuns, I can't remember who's thread it was on but I found legit versions of the actual 270s for sale in the same paintjobs as the MP18 range!! They were all at a classic car dealer in the midwest I think. It was either in the MP18 thread or Cobotron's Collect-o-Tron. It made me buy lottery tickets

I thought Soundpad looked good in pictures, itscramtastic - having worked through the puzzle of his transformation made him look even better since he goes from fairly flat to filled-out & flexible. I didn't like at first that it was Soundwave - at times, I just want new bots rather than remixes, but this makes sense for him as a modern upgrade.

For me, Datsun 270s are the new Delorean! ;)

If I ever have the home of my dreams, I'd have several Datsuns and representations of all the G1 Autobots in the garages....and a game room modeled after the Decepticon throne room where Starscream enjoyed minutes of his coronation. :CON:

Rodimus

Wow, with the latest pics of Mastermind Creations take on Rodimus ("Calidus!"), I don't even know which version I find more impressive: DX9 or MMC?

MMC's version isn't MP-sized, but he is almost half as expensive, looks awesome, and MMC's made a new fan in me.....http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=MMC10063&mode=retail

Or is MP Rodimus worth waiting on a re-issue?

Both are good choices, DX9 and MMC that is. MP9 based Rodimus Prime is terrible. Let's put it this way, I'd rather transform Apollyon. In fact, I know I've transformed Apollyon more than Rodimus Prime!

I don't see them re-releasing him either, but POSSIBLY an update as a separate MP like they did with Megatron version 2. Although MP9 really did start this scale..it's been mentioned many times that they scaled MP10 to MP9. Still wouldn't mind the trailer for MP9 if I can find one cheap!!

Wow, MP9's trailer ain't cheap!

I think I'm still leaning towards DX9, but if I loved MTME, I'd go Calidus too. Having TR Hot Rod also helps satisfy this itch lol :BOT:

Yeah, MP9's trailer is too expensive. I'll buy it for completeness, I already have a spare TRU MP9 for parts anyway

Nice photo, G1 Kup is still my favorite version of him. I just wish I could find my Targetmaster Recoil :-(

Soundpad/Padwave looks great. I didn't realize how big he was in bot mode. ;)^

And dayum, dat MMC Rodders

Yay, sharkticons  cool pic, I love that stainless background 8-)

Like yer digs here Bodsy! ;)^

Lots of great photos.

I too would one day love to own a classic Datsun Z. Maybe when the kids are grown and gone I can spend time and money on big boy toys.

Yer making me wish I'd jumped on Soundpad. He would be perfect as a Microchange idea to go with my Microman collection.

Love the pic of Kup beatin' down a sharky with it's own tail! :MR-T:

itscramtastic - I thought I had the Targetmaster version of Kup as well, but no sign of his buddy. So perhaps not. :p

Cary - yeah, I was surprised by how big Soundpad was as well. I think I could have some more fun with him, still....!

I actually have a 3rd sharkticon as well - they're too cool/cute to resist lol

Firedrive being judged for Hot Rod's actions

Hi Cobotron - I bet Soundpad would look awesome in a Microman mash-up!

I originally passed on him too, when Soundpad became available at the Hasbro Toy Shop - I thought my younger sis might've gotten him for me at SDCC but she never confirmed. Turns out she was saving him as a late Xmas present for me!

Let's be honest - all you have to do to transform Fortress Maximus is to have him raise his hands and do the splits. Although that sounds kinda rock & roll, it is boring on the largest Transformer to-date.

Payback, Shockwave

Although his official modes are somewhat lackluster (and he doesn't come with his gun or the Master Sword!), I think he looks fantastic in bot mode. Cerebros looks great as well. The fan-made battle station is also cool.
IMG_4840.JPG

There's also some decent play value in connecting him to the TR Leaders, but I keep Fort Max primarily standing tall.

Due to his girth, he often crumbles under his own weight if you get too ambitious, but I don't regret paying full MSRP. Having missed out on the G1 original as well as the recent Metroplex (I still want him dammit!), he satisfies the "titan" in Titan Returns.

Gotta love giant space panthers! ;)

Soundpad is really starting to grow on me.
IMG_4847.JPG

You may notice the black "wings" he has in the back are actually part of Laserbeak (?!) who forms part of the smart-pad itself.

It's only got this for a face:
( 0 0 )

In this pic I imagine he's helping SW2.0 fly faster. Or something. :p

I would be tempted to take Fort Max out for pancakes and put him in a high chair meant for a toddler.

Right?

Bod, do know how amazing just the composition is in that image? Especially when considering the unpredictability of cats as models.

I mean, I'm sure the cat either licked FM, or just ignored it the split second later...

Pardon the delay, the only reason I know mine is the Targetmaster version is due to the Targetmaster port on the "bed" of his truck. If he has one, you have the Targetmaster version too!!

Good luck finding the Targetmaster for cheaper than just buying a complete used Kup w/Targetmaster though :-(

Fort Max is also popular at tea parties.

Lasagna is completely unpredictable, like most cats -- I got VERY lucky he wanted to know about FM's wrath! ;)^

Although as Va'al said, he lost interest after a few shots - I'm surprised he hasn't photobombed more, considering how curious he is about my TF setups!

It'd be great to have him in shots with the beastly TFs!

Transformers have always come in a very wide spectrum of varying sizes.

Where's Hoist?

Since the TFs are supposed to scale appropriately from bot to alt & back, a healthy imagination is key. :)

Indeed.

Grimlock looks PERFECT in dat pic, Va'al!

I liked his look in RID, but it took me awhile to get into this new incarnation of him since I was used to him not talking so good.

I also liked the idea of a mature Bumblebee taking on the mantle of leadership....even if Prime did come back. :BOT:
