I noticed a while ago that one can buy Revoltech joints, by themselves, in large bags, online, and it got me wondering how well they might work with a custom figure. Does anybody have experience with these, and are they worth using?

Thanks,
Glarryg

Revoltech joints are great. They're effectively miniature ratcheting universal joints. As such they allow for great range of motion and a really strong joint. Only problem with them is that because they ratchet, it's hard to get very precise poses- you can't stop them "between clicks" so to speak due to their small size. Be sure to have a set of callipers on hand to measure the peg width before drilling holes for them though.

You CAN get non-ratcheting versions by Hobby Base, which are functionally identical except they're friction based. On the plus side this allows for more precise posing, but it does make them less sturdy.
