Profile: Pragmatist, logical, calculating, cold, rule-bound and annoying. These are just some of the words used to describe Prowl. During his formative years, Prowl quickly learned to appreciate rules and discipline while in Petrex, a strict functionist town where saying anything bad about one’s alt mode could get a mech thrown in prison. Years later, after the rise of Sentinel Prime, Prowl joined the Autobot Security Forces in Kaon where he witnessed the rise of Megatron and his Decepticons. From there civil war spread across Cybertron, and the prick-bot found himself with a new function - the Autobots’ military strategist.

Prowl’s dedication to logic and rules is unparalleled within the Autobot army. He is a clear thinker who is able to see beyond the chaos of battle and discover the rational route to victory. He is also quiet, competent and very loyal, but perhaps his most valuable trait is his almost endless patience. Once Prowl is assigned a task, he will keep at it until it is accomplished. He works with proven facts, not imagination or guesses. If he has any doubts, he will radio his commander before proceeding. He hates uncertainty in any form and strives to make everything he encounters reasonable and logical. He believes it only when he can explain it.

On a personal level Prowl tries to be friendly, but he is not very successful. As a result, he often comes across as a major jerk, but most of his comrades simply overlook this characteristic as a minor flaw in his programming. What they don’t realize is that Prowl doesn’t really care if he is well liked or not. The strategist isn’t there to make friends. His job is to win a war, and he will do so by any means necessary. Consequently, Prowl has many dark secrets both old and new, and he offers no apologies for his actions. The way he sees it, he’s doing everyone a favor by making the morally ambiguous choices that no other ‘Bot would be willing to even consider.

Abilities: Prowl has the most sophisticated logic center of all the Autobots, giving him the ability to analyze any combat situation almost instantaneously and then advise on the optimal course of action. For example, Prowl can observe 800 moving objects, compute their probable paths of movement, and determine the proper counter-move in .05 seconds. From his shoulder cannons he can shoot wire-guided incendiary missiles that reach temperatures of 2,000 degrees centigrade upon explosion. He also carries a semi-automatic rifle that fires pellets filled with a highly corrosive acid. Its range is 300 yards.

Weaknesses: His dedication to logic and reason makes Prowl particularly vulnerable to the unexpected. Irrational and inexplicable situations can really scramble his circuits. This sometimes leads to the complete shutdown of his mechano-cortex center, resulting in Prowl becoming temporarily dysfunctional.
