Profile: As a diplomat, Crosscut’s accomplishments in battle are less than noteworthy. Probably his only commendable combat achievement was participating in the liberation of Petrex with nothing more than 'wise words and a shovel'. His true strengths lie in his skills with diplomacy and negotiation. While he possesses tenacious honesty, he possesses the ingenuity needed to keep the advantage. Despite not being a fighter, his role is no less important to the Autobots. In what free time he has, Crosscut has taken to writing plays, being the author of such classics as My Shovel, Your Face and Information Creep.

Even with his species at war, Crosscut is still able to keep a level head. Constantly calm, he is noted for being a more pacifist Autobot, electing to engage in a minimum of fighting and only keeping weapons for self-defence. He tries his hardest to remain chipper, and has even been known to crack a couple of jokes when the time is right. His only failing as a diplomat is his difficulty remembering names, which has almost cost him negotiations on more than one occasion.

Abilities: Crosscut is fluent in over 230 Earth languages, and 6300 alien languages. He possesses a very quick mouth and an even quicker mind, able to think on his feet. His holomatter avatar takes the form of a chiselled-looking man with magnificent sideburns, dressed in a Victorian-esque military dress uniform.

Weaknesses: When push comes to shove, Crosscut is incredibly reluctant to engage in combat, preferring only to fight as a method of self-defence and when all other avenues have been exhausted. Even then, his weapons are a lot weaker than some of his companions; they’re designed to incapacitate rather than kill or maim, and can be shrugged off by more hardy Decepticons.

Crosscut has a paralysing phobia of nanocons. He finds the idea that they can infiltrate his system and destroy him from the inside absolutely abhorrent.
