Anyone remember what the level XP caps are/were? I'd like to keep my guys as low as possible for as long as possible but I don't remember what the XP limits were for each level.

So I'm looking to upgrade my namesake character (Battle Station alt mode) to either Strength 10 for the armor, or Skill 10 for a 10/10 weapon. My question is does a weapon's damage characteristic effect Strafe damage or number of repetitions?

Strafe damage is completely dependent upon your Firepower.
Number of strafe shots dependent upon your points in strafe.
Strength will get you more bang for your buck (increasing your armor and non-tactic damage)

If he were a lower level character, I'd probably be on the fence (more damage=more xp). But being as we're discussing a Level 10 character, definitely strength. Unless you're dealing with mid ranked opponents who are wearing Nucleon Tempered Titanium, you won't notice a difference between the Gatling Gun and a Fusion Cannon. You'll still typically do 1-3 damage against a Level 11 with Nano Regenerative, and still one shot can opponent with Iron. At the higher levels, survivability is the most important factor, plus you get the added bonus of a slight damage push.

Longstrike is Level 10, with 10 tons of Nano and a Gatling Gun, and he can hang with Level 11s in damage output. So unless Burn makes a 10/10 X18 Scrapmaker, I'll keep the Gatling Gun on him. I like him with bullets.

Thanks for the input guys. It's Strength's effects any different on Skill weapons or Fp/Sk weapons that could be considered melee, like the Laser-Blazer Broadsword or Magnus Hammer?

From what I've been told, Str has a small effect on any weapon. Bun has a definitive answer, though. Until he gets here this is the best resource in the game.
