I actually did some legwork and came up with a basic pricing system you guys could use whenever time constraints become less of an issue and you can actually get to it. It may help, at the very least it will give you a starting point to come up with a better system


Alt-mode Costs

Base

Core- €25,000
Common- €50,000
Rare- €100,000
Seasonal Limited Edition- $150,000
Manual Reset to Retain Alt- €200,000

Combined Tactic Cost

6200- Reduce by €5,000
5500- Reduce by €2,500
5000- Reduce by €1,000
4500- €1,000
4200- €5,000
4000- €10,000
3000- €50,000

Unlock Requirements

Single Stat- Reduce by €5,000
Dual Stat- Reduce by €10,000



Under this system, a Robot Santa would cost €200,000.
The Decepticons Core Tank would cost €24,000.
A Wasp would cost €41,000.
An Armored Ambulance would cost €90,000.

Simple, easy to follow. Not too, cheap or punishingly expensive. Can easily be tweaked.

No, not upgrades, just alt-modes. See Psychout and my convo on last page. It would let Autobots get around the rotator issue, encourage people to reset and try new things. Let people with one of a kind alt-modes fix their screw ups. It would just have to be pricy enough that people aren't asking you to change their alt-modes every 5 minutes, but also cheap enough to make it a viable option. If it's too cheap, the rotator will become irrelevent, which we don't want.

I don't think it should ever be possible to buy upgrades with anything other than xp. That's a core part of the game. Heavy Metal War isn't a pay to win mobile game.

Psychout explained the time constraints to me, but conceded it was a good idea that required no coding as it could be done in the forums. So I got the work started for you when guys actually find an opportunity to sit down and look at it.

I probably should have quoted the convo with Psychout, but I didn't even stop and think I'd get orphaned onto the next page. Looking at that post out of context is jarring. Didn't mean to give you a heart attack, Burn.

Basically, the alt-mode would have a base price based on its rarity classification and be modified from there based on factors such as cost efficiency (lower tactic cost means a higher price tag) or if it costs xp to unlock it's tactics (discount based on the fact their are hidden costs associated with the alt)

Charging Energon is not going to compensate us for our time.

Ideally we want things automated. Trouble with that is things break.

I think Kam's reasoning was that charging Energon would be a limit on people wasting your time (because they wouldn't have the Energon to spend on it), not so much that it's a compensation for your time.
For most players that haven't been sitting at level 11 forever Energon isn't an infinite resource (despite increased Christmas mission yields ;) )

This I do know. Hopefully over the next week or so I can sit down and update missions with the new XP/Energon payout calculation which should hopefully give a little boost. (And maybe even double it again at lower levels)

I would like to propose 2 changes.

1. The 1-10 mission payouts stink. They should be either in line with the 1-11 or dropped.

2. In the active alt-mode page, include the tactics each alt class can use. This could be simple text. Or a small fancy table. I’m good with either. :-D

I believe he's referring to the two 1-10 missions that only give out 200 xp

While it would be nice to be able to get to it easier, the Alt-Mode Tactics Reference Page still functions. You'll just have to make do with it, Killjoy.

Return of the Emporer and I believe Destroy Autobot Factories payout 200. At level missions pay much better.

I think you may have overtweaked them. They pay better than 1-11 now. Not complaining, though. Just wanted to make you aware if that was unintentional.

Proposal:
Update the XP/Energon payout of the Hell mission to the new Burn Standard.

I'll freely admit IDGAF about raising it before because I had more XP than was relevant to my play style but now that I got that lil' baby to level up it'd kinda be nice to have that extra boost.

The 1-11 one? That was updated ages ago. It's because of the level spread that the payout seems low.

That is not what it is currently set to (2,000 XP, 1,000 En)

I divided 11 by 2 and rounded down for that particular set of missions to keep it nice and rounded (1000/2000).

So yeah, not changing.
