Does anyone know if the "battle scars on the WFC SIEGE figures is handpainted, factory printed or permanent

I recently received my Optimus (WFC-S11 Voyager) figure from this line and i think the silver paint on his white thighs is rather uneven and i am wondering what kind of remover like acetone nail polish remover maybe?

Has anyone tried removing these types of decos :???:

I saw a video months ago on youtube with someone removing that on the very figure you're asking about, but I'm not sure who's it was. Just search on youtube or google and you might find it.

I do remember it was a pretty long process to get all the "damage" off, but it didn't seem like it was particularly hard, just time consuming and tedious.

Some figures may be harder to do this on, as well, like the paint on Soundwave's transparent tape door, you'd probably wind up messing it up in the process,

Update the only polish remover is a lemon brand which simply mentions that the active ingredient is acetone but doesn't mention how much percent as in if its 100% strength.

Used cotton swab and a q-tip on a less important deluxe prime but no discoloration. Might have to repeat but those grooves might be a problem. Any tips what else i need such as how many repeats?
Keep in mind there are no stores near me that sell rubbing alcohol.

Both the arm and head crest had yellow on it

update : i also tried a 2010 legends hunt for the decepticons starscream and it works reall fast on both red paint and the black decepticon logo, gave him a accidental red bleeding effect.

EDIT: this is happened to starscream, i poured it on instead of q-tip prodding... and it washed out his wing. I dont know if too much direct contact was a reaction to the chemical in the red stuffbut its stuck like that now. Still smooth but scarred.

Turns out that acetone can roughen up some plastic easily. Was trying to remove 2015 Weaponizer Bludgeon's :RID-BOTS: product code and the plastic almost got too rough.

Decided to throw it.
