I know for me it was my first introduction to internet bullies, at the time I was used to actually looking face to face with people that have any issues with me and settling it whatever way is needed in person (I still rather it this way to be honest), watching people being attacked with no fear of physical recourse (or any kind of recourse for that matter) is kind of disturbing when you are fresh and new to internet forums.

I haven't seen hide nor hair of Goribus in a hot minute. Used to be FB friends, but I think he deleted his profile and just went AWOL. One of my favorite Botcon memories was hanging out with Air Commander Starscream. Haven't heard from him in a while either.

Gor has been a long time banned...
Even most of his Alts got banned over time...
Last I heard he'd become a 4chan internet supervillian

Fair point. I still find it kind of funny that they never really went after me, despite being something of a bully magnet irl at the time. But I'd learned that bullies feed on your reaction so I guess my not responding to their bs kept me off their radar. Only run in I had was with ShinjiConvoy if I remember correctly... His sig was Hound pumping water out of Spike's lungs with a dirty caption. I'd been on vacation without internet when the ban on Building threads was made, so when I got home I made one only to have him come and try flaming me before Lord Galatron closed it (at least my thread Seibertron visits Cybertron was on a board approptiate topic :-P ).

Oh, anyone remember the time we had an actual Nazi on the site? not in the "your political opinion offends me so I'm gonna try to discredit you as a Nazi" but an actual fricken antiemetic Nazi? Stefan or Stephan or some such... One time I don't think anyone complained about a ban.

I joined 22 years ago, on April 3rd, 2001. I know my profile says September '02, but that's because the boards crashed pretty regularly back then, wiping out posters' stats. I've seen and been through a lot while participating here through the years.

Yeah my join date is right. but I'm pretty sure my post count should be higher. don't care about the count, but it would be nice to be able to go back and reread some of the old threads. Shenanigans, drama etc.

Just some info a lot of us old schoolers lost posts a few years ago with a board crash, that is why you should have more.

Yeah, I recall a few, but the one that killed the post counts of members was the worst.

Was that the one where we lost a good chunk of the database, including nuking a lot of the RPG?

It is with a heavy heart that I report that Pyrostrata has become one with the Matrix. She left too soon, the result of complications during surgery.

My condolences. May she dwell in the palace of Primus forever.

I still feel that was done intentionally. I know myself and others had well over 20k at one point.

But why would someone who's NOT an arrogant, self-deluded d-bag do something like that?
