Finished the "War of the Ember" A few days ago. That series deserves a re-read. A re-read of all 15 novels!

Sort of looking at two books at the moment.

Italo Calvino - Il castello dei destini incrociati (The Castle of crossing destinies)
and
Jeanette Winterson - Weight

Also going through a short story I'm currently translating into English, for a friend of mine.

Moving on to 'Death's Shadow.'

To be honest, I'm surprised Shan was able to get these books published.

Owls are amazing, if you havn't read Guardians, you wouldn't know.....
BTW, seeing the movie does NOT count! God that movie was aweful! It tore apart the books in the worst possible way! God... although, the designs and character work WERE top notch! I think the Deleted Scene was the only "True to Story" part of the movie, and it was deleted...

It's a very good and satisfyingly well written series, but be warned, there are 15 in main story cannon, and number 16 you have to read if you want to know a little more about the obscure areas in the books, so technically, there is 16 books. Each about 200 some odd pages or more, so alot of reading there.

I removed that video to save space.

Eh... I've read 'It.' It's over 1100 pages. I could read The Guardians easily.

You guys (and girls) should really check out the Demonata and/or Cirque du Freak.

Darren Shan's probably the best sci-fi/horror writer of the last 20 years.

The book I'm currently reading is New Moon of the Twilight Saga.

Image

My brother borrowed the three books except the Breaking Dawn from one of his friends.
He used to read the first book but quit on it. Unfortunately, the same happened with me. I quit on reading the book. It's pacing is slow, for me that is.
