Thanks so much for these pictures. Tfw2005's picture links were all broken, and they still haven't fixed them. However, they DID take the trouble to remove my post containing a link to your site (but not a reply containing said link).

Silly, silly, TFW2005...

You can actually close the canopy once you Transform Blurr/Brainstorm problem solved.

So the Submarine thing still works in a way even though I still don't see how this is a submarine looks more like a space ship to me especially with the Turbines.

Quick poll! Which TR submarine mode is better: Nautica, or Sixshot?

Heck, Quickswitch comes with Nautica! You get two of the best submarines of all time in one set!

In that comic the front of it kinda looks like Scourge, i'm surprised that they never went with the Scourge mold & retooled that instead

Weapon: Twin Swords
I had a lot of catching up to do in this thread  I'll just do a quick rundown

Octane and Blitzwing look incredible. I'm really glad they did the retooling necessary to make them even more distinct from their pretools.

Twintwist as expected looks amazing. Him and Topspin are easily the best deluxe figures of Titans return.

I'm presently surprised with windblade. Wasn't too excited when I heard the initial rumour but I think she works well enough. Not sure what to do with T30 windblade though.

Seaspray is so chunky and adorable and is a strong contender for best legends. Ramhorn is pretty awesome too but it's a shame he's not a legends.

OVERLORD :michaelbay: :michaelbay: :michaelbay: . Enough said.

Speed set; Lazer prime is a nice surprise his colors are really cool and makes him distinct from Optimus while being the same character. Quickswitch I think works well enough but some more retooling would've been appreciated. Fastlane looks really cool and I'm honestly quite surprised he's a legends and a new mold. I think Nautica works well enough for what it is. Yes a new mold would've been preferable but I think it still works. Vehicle mode kinda, majorly sucks though.

Strength set; Tidalwave looks pretty cool, wished they used the green color scheme though. Metalhawk is a pleasant surprise. I don't think anyone saw him coming but he looks incredible. Pounce has a nice robot mode but the puma mode is a little dorky. I think the beast mode legs are too thin. Now Magnus prime kinda annoys me. I imported the Takara Ginrai because I thought that Hasbro wasn't going to release it. But instead they did release it and it has potentially more guns and the trailer is painted a beautiful silver.

All in all this line is going to bankrupt me and I think I'm okay with that.

I must note that exciting as it is, don't be so soon to trust that silver on Magnus Prime. While of course very close, paintjobs shown off at cons and fairs and such aren't always completely accurate to the final product, so take any colour scheme you see on the floor here with the teeniest tiniest grain of salt.

John warden explained in an interview that the clones are not legends or deluxes but a new class made just for their kind. And all 4 clones will be released through different box sets. This has me now on a total moratorium on the TR line since I want to see what is in those boxsets before buying more individual toys so as not to double up on molds I might not really care for. Like Broadside. No need to get him anymore if I will have that mold as Tidal Wave. They are also the only non titan master compatible toys in the TR line. They wont be available outside the boxsets but I can totally see Takara releasing these molds as 2 packs. Man I just freaken wish we would see all that they have planned so I could budget better and know which route I am taking on these.

I dont know about the more guns thing. It could be that Hasbro brought along an extra gun for some reason or made a mistake. Also many of these toys are the painted promotional versions and not final releases. So it could be that the silver paint wont carry over in the final release. I hope it does, but we have all been dissapointed before.

That's really cool to hear about the unique sizes for the clones. I figured that there would be 4 total box sets with one clone in each I'm just really curious to see who else is in them.

As far as the silver paint on Magnus prime, I actually forgot about the whole Galvatron thing. I kinda feel better about the whole thing now. I know I'll have to sell one of them I just hope it's not Ginrai only because I think it will be difficult to sell him for a decent price.

I was really looking forward to a slight remould of Ultra Magnus with perhaps Diaclone Powered Convoy colours but with a Titanmaster head - I'm kinda annoyed now to not be getting it. I still think they should do it though in another giftset.

Know what, screw it, I'll weigh in my opinions. Because if there's one thing you wanted to do when you woke up this morning, it's looking at some dumb MTMTE fangirl go on about what she thinks on pieces of plastic constructed for capitalism! :D

Regular
Overlord: Sad about no lips, but FRIGGIN' AWESOME
Windblade: I'm somewhat excited, but something keeps seeming... off about the figure's proportions. Her legs are odd or her (awesome) swords are oversized or her waist is too long... I really think this is one I'll need to wait on a review for.
Twintwist: Looks just as great as Top Spin! ... Rain is wet!
Octane: I love the retooled plane mode parts, it goes such a long way in making it better.
Blitzwing: Looks pretty great, but there's something about him I'm not too sure on that I just can't quite pin down...
Seaspray: Looks cool I suppose
Ramhorn: CUUUUUUTE CUTE CUTE CUTE WANT HIM

Speed set:
Quickswitch: Not very good, really. I mean, it's a Sixshot in different colours so as a toy it's not bad at all, but it's a terrible representation of a character who there isn't much of a reason to care about in the first place. Probably the worst thing here if I'm honest...
Nautica: ... now that the initial hype has turned down, I'm really let down by this figure. Quickswitch might be what I think is the worst here, but Nautica to me is the biggest disappointment and for me on a personal level, it really frustrates me that one of my favourite Transformers characters (she's in the top 5. The rest are modern IDW characters, surprise surprise) got gipped so bad like this. The head is all wrong, the fans look off and are placed very badly, the chest just offsets the whole thing... I've been fine with MTMTE characters on my shelf not actually looking like how they do in MTMTE, but for the most part I'm able to excuse it either because the headsculpt is spot on even if the rest of the body is very much off (Chromedome), it's what the character used to look like in the continuity and it has enough key defining features to work in the slot (Hot Rod), or in general I'm able to excuse it because it's taking hints from more popular versions of the character who I identify as the same character anyway. But Nautica had nothing else to take inspiration from. So everything off about her is nigh-inexcusable to me and I'm just not fond of this figure at all.
Laser Prime: This one surprised me. I friggin' LOVE these colours on this guy! ... well, I say that, but to me they're icing on the cake. What's the cake? Optimus burning down a forest. That's my favourite stupid thing about the original toy and it's just the perfect representation of trying-too-hard-to-be-rad-bodicus-awesome of 90s Transformers. I love me some stupid!
Fastlane: Surprised he's a new mold. And... and he's honestly absolutely adorable. Look at his robot mode proportions; he's just so cuuuuute.
Rodimus Prime: Biiit disappointed it's not an IDW Rodimus head, but hey, looks cool regardless.

Strength set:
Magnus Prime: They're releasing the Takara mold! Awesome! Precedent! SILVER AND GUNS!
Tidal Wave: Bleh. Almost as bad a mold re-use as Quickswitch imo and it's disappointing he doesn't have the green from the original (hasbro version of the) toy to make him more visually appealing.
Metalhawk: Hm. Hmmm. Hmmmmmm. I want to like this guy, but something feels off once again. Maybe it's just how abrupt the colour breakup at the torso is and how the blue and dark gold or whatever doesn't contrast that great side by side like that.
Pounce: Same as Fastlane, but I kind of like that Puma mode! Especially considering the original toy's Puma mode, have you seen that thing? It's amazing.
Thunderwing: This one's an enigma for me. Who are you supposed to use him on? Is it for a potential Sky Shadow custom? In that case why is he the size of a normal Titan Master rather than the Leader thing of making the Titan Master the face and the helmet making up the rest of the head? Why of all things is this the face that's incredibly IDW-based? Gaaaah. I just don't get why he's here! But still, it looks very nice and he's a cool little extra I suppose.

Okay, so, I pretty much want EVERYTHING below voyager class, and Trypticon. Hoping for deluxe completion for this line, but the box sets might make it difficult.

Also, as for Nautica, the main thing that bugs me about her head is that it doesn't have that shield thing over her face. Surprised nobody has pointed that out. Oh, and no sonic screwdriver wrench?

MP-10 was said to be getting a reissue - perhaps that is why Hasbro bundled an image of him in with the others.

I still would like Nightbeat, Loudmouth, Fangry, Slugslinger & Missfire sometime i'd also welcome the other two Monsterbots too (in deluxe size).

Kurona, you are not alone in feeling intense let down in regards to Nautica. After seeing the end result, I really wish Hasbro had left her alone. So disapointing. :(

So something I just noticed that I don't think has been mentioned about Nautica is I don't think she's retooled at all. I'm almost positive that the fans are just individual pieces stuck into the holes on the moulds shoulders.

My own eclectic want list:

Obviously Trypticon as well as Repugnus, Sea Spray, Metalhawk, Fastlane and Pounce. Is there more information about these giftsets: Siege on Cybertron and Chaos on Velocitron?.

Of the ones we had already seen I want Sky Shadow, Perceptor and Kup.

About all we know so far is:-

Chaos on Velocitron is Toys-R-Us exclusive and features Quickswitch, Laser Prime, Nautica, Fastlane and Rodimius.
Siege on Cybertron is BBTS exclusive and features Magnus Prime, Tidal Wave, Metalhawk, Pounce and Thunderwing.

We don't have any information on the price point, but if these were all sold at retail their combined price would be around 100$. So expect it to be higher than that.

I can certainly think of worse things. :P

Overlord: Sad about no lips, but FRIGGIN' AWESOME

He does look pretty good. I'm still not sure I'd pick him over the MMC offering, but we shall see.
Windblade: I'm somewhat excited, but something keeps seeming... off about the figure's proportions. Her legs are odd or her (awesome) swords are oversized or her waist is too long... I really think this is one I'll need to wait on a review for.

This is exactly my opinion. Plane mode looks OK, robot mode looks...off somehow. I think those renders aren't exactly doing the poor girl justice, but I'm still concerned. Also, who puts TM seats on a SWORD?
Twintwist: Looks just as great as Top Spin! ... Rain is wet!

Yep. Those two are on my list for sure.
Octane: I love the retooled plane mode parts, it goes such a long way in making it better.

I'm glad you like him, but that plane mode is still pretty weak IMO. I might have to spring for Unique Toys' offering- it's big, yeah, but the modes all look great and the vehicle mode scales pretty well with CHUG.
Blitzwing: Looks pretty great, but there's something about him I'm not too sure on that I just can't quite pin down...

Maybe it's the fake kibble? Though I will say, I like how they made the chest "jet spine" detail into an air intake for jet mode.
Seaspray: Looks cool I suppose

Seaspray is one of those characters I really can't find myself giving enough of a sh!t about to get excited for. I might just track down that 2010 figure.
Ramhorn: CUUUUUUTE CUTE CUTE CUTE WANT HIM

Pretty much. I wish he were Blaster compatible but still he's adorable.

Quickswitch: Not very good, really. I mean, it's a Sixshot in different colours so as a toy it's not bad at all, but it's a terrible representation of a character who there isn't much of a reason to care about in the first place. Probably the worst thing here if I'm honest...

Yeah, Quickswitch looks pretty "meh". And Sixshot didn't look that great to begin with.

Even as a non-IDW reader, I'm very disappointed in Nautica. She doesn't look like the character and she doesn't even look good. The fact you have to buy a boxset to get her is the sweetcorn on the sh!t sundae.

I'm really worried about that sticker getting shredded over time by the rigours of transformation but otherwise he's perfect.
Fastlane: Surprised he's a new mold. And... and he's honestly absolutely adorable. Look at his robot mode proportions; he's just so cuuuuute.

Yes. More cute tiny robots is always cool.
Rodimus Prime: Biiit disappointed it's not an IDW Rodimus head, but hey, looks cool regardless.

The main appeal to me is the diecast content, and also ANOTHER HEAD WOOOOO.

Strength set:
Magnus Prime: They're releasing the Takara mold! Awesome! Precedent! SILVER AND GUNS!

See WJ88's points.
Tidal Wave: Bleh. Almost as bad a mold re-use as Quickswitch imo and it's disappointing he doesn't have the green from the original (hasbro version of the) toy to make him more visually appealing.

I dunno. I think he looks pretty cool, though again I'm not sure I'll replace my beloved Energon Tidal Wave with him.
Metalhawk: Hm. Hmmm. Hmmmmmm. I want to like this guy, but something feels off once again. Maybe it's just how abrupt the colour breakup at the torso is and how the blue and dark gold or whatever doesn't contrast that great side by side like that.

I think the colours just look plain ugly, but that's just my opinion.
Pounce: Same as Fastlane, but I kind of like that Puma mode! Especially considering the original toy's Puma mode, have you seen that thing? It's amazing.

Yep. Pounce is adorable.

I guess so. Though Sky Shadow needs those Gigeresque details on his chest to work as Thunderwing IMO.

But yes. Overall I have to say, I mostly agree with you.
