I think its the giant calfs. They are doing something weird with that semi circle design, it actually makes that section look bigger rather than more slender. And it sucks that her jet mode still has gaps. RID figures out how to fix that.

Anyways, the seat is there on the sword to fit a titan master, like all the other weapons we have been getting lately.

Seibertron is trying to get the pictures for us, so all of the stock images will be up shortly. He's been very busy getting the galleries set for you guys to enjoy

also, Windblade is really different. I would say she is more looking like Highbrow based on the transformation, but I don't think we should go calling retool yet. We've had enough aerial vehicles in this line so far that this could be a new mold but uses some transformation tricks from other molds, like how everyone was calling Topspin a Triggerhappy retool when he isn't.

So much to take in. Still digesting everything. Pretty excited about a a lot of it.

And I just looked at Highbrow and Scourge. Windy's thighs are EXACTLY the SAME. Parts share!

She isn't a retool. She's a new toy with stolen parts from Highbrow. Take Chromedome and Blurr for example.

Windblade is mis-transformed. Her crotch is hyper extended. She is a engineering/parts share of HB and Scourge. No doubt.

Yep! I noticed that earlier today and remembered that it was originally listed as a Highbrow retool. The more I look at it the more obvious it is. It's one heck of a retool, I wish they would have put that money toward's Nautica instead, but oh well.

I think you missed what I intended to say. I was telling people to not call retool on this thing. We've gotten so many aerial vehicles that share some engineering or some simple parts that this thing could be brand new

I think it's her legs. They really are weirdly giant, and then having the wide upper calves shrink down to tiny ankles and twiggy feet just makes the whole thing look off balance. Plus she's pulling a Pat Lee with that whole invisible-chair shtick she has going on in that photo.

She can't be a Highbrow or Triggerhappy retool though - even though we can't see her TM fully, those sloped shoulders on it are a detail neither Highbrow's nor Triggerhappy's had. Makes me wonder what her retool will be - possibly, as Silly suggests, Slugslinger since a few of the details seem to match up - but also if perhaps Nautica would have worked better as a retool from her? Admittedly I haven't read IDW so I don't know the character or her appearance that well, but slightly more feminine proportions (even moreso than Blurr's), being able to have the fans on her back and an actual non-windshield chest may have helped the figure significantly to look less... underwhelming.

Nothing could save that face on Nautica though. It reminds me of Cybertron Scourge or Overhaul but without the fangs - not the best face-sculpt for a character like this.

EDIT: So while I was writing this we had a whole page of evidence that Windblade is either a retool or at least a parts-share with Highbrow. And yet, her TM is clearly different.

It's the wings on her back. They sit too low, below her shoulders rather than behind them.

Also, guys about the parts sharing and retooling whatever, I thought we were past it. Its shared engineering of HighBrow and Scourge with some shared parts. Thats it. If thats means its a new mold for you, then it is, if it means its a retool, fine.

But the truth is that it is shared engineering, not more not less.

Thanks for cheering me up , i had fun on my 30th Blitzwing too until it becomes broken

The retooling on both Blitzwing and Octane pleasantly surprised me. Sure, it's not a lot, but it's more than the different-face-and-weapons we thought we were getting. Blitzwing has a different chest and he has an extra gun that makes both his turret and TM gun longer (meaning he has three accessories to Megs' two. That retrogip feel)

Tankor, meanwhile, has AWESOME wings and a cockpit which both make the Jet mode look far better. Disappointed to see the new chest, though... Optimus' worked perfectly considering both the Universe toy and his IDW appearance. Feels like a waste of parts.


I feel weird about that Windblade toy but I might get it just because that face is beautifully done. And I do desperately need a Windblade, so it's between this one and the upcoming RiD Battle Mask one...

As an animated fan, I love the face swap feature! and the jet canopy cockpit, while not G1, was a good look for him to me

Ok, so my thoughts on these reveals.

My favourite reveal believe it or not is that G2 Lazer Prime. I really really like when a company goes all out on something and this is Hasbro pouring so much love into a design. I cant help but feel in love. I want it most of all. And I damn wish it came with th Strength set because that one is a freaken BEAST! Takara's Prime in premium deco, **** yeah! Here's hoping it all ends up at TRU in Canada (thats where the BBTS exclusive stuff usually goes to).
Everything is either great or ass though, isnt it? Like that WIndblade and Twintwist, they are grrreat! Trypticon too. Laser Prime and that Leader Prime, also that metal hawk and fastlane and pounce. All good stuff.

But Quickswith, it ass. Lookg nothing like Quickswitch, its really a lame redeco of what should have needed some retooling. The modes arent even the same, he should have a boat AND a gun mode but here they are the same damn mode.

Anyways, Tidal Wave is ass too. Man, he would totally go on my worst update list. I really dont see the Tidal Wave I know in that bot mode.

And I am actually really not fond of that Blitzwing. We were all wondering how they would handle it since the chest on Megatron is in the midsection of the plane and not the front. The answer? FAKE KIBBLE. I wouldnt mind if it was there just for the robot mode but the damn fake cockpit is present on the airplane mode too So you end up with the same cockpit section twice in a row, it looks dumb as all hell. Plus, unlike Megatron, Blitzwing has 2 varied colours of tan and purple which are done to distingush alt modes. But it fails here because the tank just looks like a Piet Modrian painting with the colours clashing. Megatron actually appears to be a way better use of this mold since there is no fake cockpit and a uniform colour on all modes. I didnt get the thrilling 30 Blitzwing and might not get this one.

Octane fares better especially since that plane now has a uniform white scheme which works, and he also has some retooling. though I find it odd, isnt he supposed to have purple squares (or such) on his chest?

And Nautica is ass too. Looks nothing like her comic counterpart in any mode. Which kinda sucks when this is a comic exclusive character and thus that is the only design to reffer back to.

Man, I wish these were sold seperately.

And yes, Seaspray totally looks like a third party toy. Not sure what I think of him. I will get him though.
