There was talk on twitter hoping Prowl will be his Animated version, which i would agree with, as I could easily put him with the SG figures.

please forgive how blurry this pic is btw.

Core class Dinobots? Nnnnoooo! I've really cut down on collecting due to price increases, but I have real trouble saying no to Dinobots. Hasbro, you are NOT helping my wallet.

I don't get why Hasbro love the Ramjet mold so much. We had the same mold with the Amazon 2-pack, Sandstorm (which I got and love) & G2 Ramjet (a nope for me, even though every reviewers love the funky G2 colors) already. But we got no redeco of Dirge nor Thrust iirc?

I'm extremely glad that Hasbro release the main 3 Coneheads, as I got cancelled on them all. But release it in a non-exclusive Selects 3 pack makes more sense to me.

I mean, that seems to be what they're doing now. which I'm all for, even if there are minor deco changes. We can hope for Dirge next.

Nope.

By all means, use CW Motormaster with the Legacy limbs if you want. But the point of Legacy Menasor is to be cartoon accurate and they're doing a bloody good job of it.

Don't like it? Don't buy it. There's never going to be that one perfect figure that appeals to everyone.

My budget policy is I can only buy combiners if they are lowered priced ko. Legacy Menasaur won't be, I hate the cw version, so menasor and superion will not be in my collection. In other words, legacy menasaur is alright, but I dont care since I won't buy him...
Any ideas what on can do with a broken override figure?

I am with you, I am ready for Nacelle, Slipstream, G2 Starscream, Blackout Starscream, Sunstorm, if we have to keep milking the Ramjet tooling there is a sky blue redeco left on the table.

I'm perfectly fine with the Ramjet rerelease, I missed out on the Amazon pack and the aftermarket prices are utterly bonkers. I just hope mold deterioration doesn't settle in that bad with how many times they've used the Ramjet tooling, though!

Ramjet and nemesis Leo are certain for me, depending on how well they do leo. Cat bots haven't been that great so far other than Ravage. Hopefully the voyager junkion will be animated wreckgar and then a rescue bot selects version of who ever was the garbage truck in that toy line.

Bludgeon might be a pass because I'm good with the baynus versions and bomburst might be a buy if it's like iguanus.

Yeah, but we’re going on 9 years since CW Devastator. And assuming he’s not getting a new version next year, 2024 makes it a full decade since getting that set.
I know they’re not the most popular characters individually, but that’s still 6 Decepticon characters, when it seems like there are so many more Autobots.

I personally love my UW set of Technobots. The add-on kits help for sure.
But he’s one of my favorites from CW/UW.

I also think Predaking deserves a better version.

They reissued Titan Class Devy last year though, so that does factor in the chances of getting new Constructicons. I won't say it'll never happen but you may be waiting a few years yet.

For all we know, they could still be trying to figure out a combining mechanism that doesn't impact the other alt modes that comes in at the budget for a deluxe (since you requested it at that scale).

With how Skullgrin turned out, I'm really worried about voyager Bludgeon. They better not bullcrap their way into making a cubic bot with rectangle limbs with an out of place organic head like they did with Skullgrin.

I hope for the same concept as the previous ROTF voyager, but with full, non skeletal limbs.
Come see my latest creation, a Galvatron Combiner using 4 SS86 Sweeps as limbs HERE!

I actually like this idea a good bit.

Glad Ramjet is getting reissued for those who didn't get it, it's a pass for me, but I am glad others will get another chance at him.

Excited at the idea of Bludgeon and Bombburst.

Also curious on the Skar listing. IDW Skar? If they are branching out that far with Dinobots, I would hesitate to say that a Generations movie Scorn and IDW Strafe aren't too far a thought considering Slash and potentially Skar. And Paddles too, obviously.

Hoping their dinobot kick also goes over into SS so we can get the last 3 movie Dinobots too.

Okay, I know this is late in the discussion but I need to give my opinions on the SDCC panel:

Nemesis Primal wrote:-Evan mentioned that Menasor's lack of Scramble City compatibility/limbs being dedicated to just Menasor has been well-received and they are keeping that in mind for future potential combiners

Debatable. VERY debatable.
Personally, I wouldn't mind it for a new continuity's iteration of Menasor, or a whole new combiner team (actually, I would prefer that; we need new characters and combination gimmicks), but sacrificing an already-fun gimmick to be more accurate to a design error really doesn't sit well for me.
And I hope this means they'll start making more non-Scramble City combiners (we need a better Liokaiser, Magnaboss and Rail Racer, among others) instead of replacing all Scramble City for "accuracy". How would this scheme even work for stuff like the Aerialbots, Terrorcons or Seacons? Their leaders have nothing to make into a trailer/base!

Nemesis Primal wrote:-No continuity is off the table for Legacy, Cyberverse is an option

...Somehow, I think this doesn't include the most out-there continuities like Robotix or Hearts of Steel. Still, good to know.

Nemesis Primal wrote:-Legacy Animated figures WILL be G1-ified, HOWEVER the team has also heard the feedback on Arcee/Bulkhead/Knock Out and are working to find a better G1-ification balance

Here's some suggestions:
1) Keep the original alt-mode, unlike what you did with Bulkhead (and no I'M NEVER LETTING THAT GO!! :BOOM: )
2) Even if you give them G1 boxy design, you can still keep the original's body proportions, unlike Knock Out (not slim enough) and Bulkhead (legs too long, limbs too slim and torso too short)

Honestly, RoTF Lockdown and 2010 Lugnut are very good examples of how to translate one design to another.

Nemesis Primal wrote:-Minicons are something they're intending to figure out "once they move more fully into Armada"

I wish they'll make a Swindle compatible with Legacy Starscream, but I kinda expect them not to.
Also hope they bring back the Mini-Con weapon teams; especially if they make a Star Saber that can carry a Matrix in its hilt.

Nemesis Primal wrote:-When asked about a new Cybertron OP & Wing Saber: "it would be totally doable to make a new Wing Saber connect to Siege GUOP" (implying Wing Saber is on the table but Optimus is considered done)

Image
A G1 Optimus with Cybertron armor does not count as an update to Cybertron Optimus. By that logic, we should never get a new version of RiD2001 Ultra Magnus because we have the Siege version!

Nemesis Primal wrote:-More Titans from Cybertron are possible albeit daunting due to number (Starscream, Primus, Quickmix, & Menasor all mentioned)

Neat! ;)^ Some more suggestions from other continuities:
- IDW-original Titans (I personally would prefer Chela or Vigilem/Carcer)
- Other iconic ships given the Ark treatment (G1 Nemesis, Quintesson cruiser, BWII Nemesis, Xanthium...)
- Energon Omega Supreme
- Aligned Trypticon/Nemesis
- Grand Mal

Nemesis Primal wrote:-Mark and Evan talk about making figures of the 13 Primes "all the time", mentioned The Fallen's tank mode

THANK YOU!! I always preferred the orignial Dreamwave's black knight-esque Fallen design over the later iterations anyway. Hope he comes with a lot of blast effects for the flames.
Kinda wonder how they'd make Amalgamous. Maybe a massive Weaponizer-style partformer? :-?

Nemesis Primal wrote:-Evan wants to make Beast Machines Vehicons

Woohoo! Hope they make some of the Maximals too; I want a Botanica and Noble/Savage!

Nemesis Primal wrote:-Interest in bringing Fan Votes back

...does this mean the old "Make A Character" votes that gave us Windblade and Victorion, or one of the "Choose Which Character We Make Now, And We'll Use The Other Characters Later Anyway" from later years? Because I frankly prefer the first option.

Nemesis Primal wrote:-Evan mentioned "having a few more beasts to get through"

The only figure from those lists that I’m really excited for is Shrapnel.
He’s my favorite Insecticon.

After that, I am interested in the Core Dinobots (if they’re good), & the Junkions.
Next year should be my last year of collecting…
It will depend on whether or not Hastak gives us a SS86 Swoop, & Bombshell.
I would like a Core Thundercracker to round-out the 3 main seekers at that scale.

Interesting that this Ramjet has black biceps…
I don’t get why they’re doing that.
Also, I noticed the clear canopy… It looks fine, but seeing it, I don’t know if I like it better than the orange tinted one of the ER version.

As someone with a toddler who has been rewatching Rescue Bots over and over ad nauseum... I would lose my everloving mind if they announced Legacy versions of the Griffin Rock Rescue Team. PLEASE make it so Hasbro gods! :D

Interesting that the two Core Dinobots listed here are the two remaining Dinos we need in Studio 86 and not the more "popular" selections of Grimlock and Slag.

Also interesting to see more Junkions after we got Wreck-Gar and Junkheap in 86 last year. Hmm.

My thoughts in no particular order...

At least this gives me some hope of seeing Thrust again.

Don't know why they chose RamJet first who did get a second release in G2 colors, but not Dirge or Thrust.

Bludgeon is interesting, probably a new mold, since outside of Megs, there are no other Voyager tank molds to be used.

We still haven't seen Lio Convoy err Prime yet, so this should be fun. Who gets leaked first. Leo or Nemesis Leo?

Any chance this Prowl is the BWII Prowl to go with Skywarp? Could it be a re-release of the Earrthrise Datsun mold? Seems odd... but you never know.

Will likely break down and get Core Grimlock and Swoop.

Uh, that's just the CG stock photo of the ER figure.

I actually would like to see them do Legacy Ramjet with a smoky tinted canopy like the G1 figure if they could make just one change.

Slightly late to the party on this news, but my thoughts on the recent leaks:

- Oh, so a listing for package refresh of Ramjet leaks on the Internet just as I was about to put my Earthrise Dirge and Ramjet up for sale on Ebay. Now they probably won't sell, or the resale value will sink like a stone...
- The Junkion listings have piqued my interest, depending on how they turn out, I may look into tracking down a Studio Series Wreck-Gar and Junkheap.
- The second year of Legacy still seems to be pretty villain heavy, Core seems to be the only price point so far where the Decepticons aren't hugely over-represented, and that's mostly because of the Dinobots. I'm guessing this is because the Decepticons weren't quite as prominent in the War for Cybertron Trilogy?
- While it would be fantastic if the Prowl was the Animated version, part of me kind of hopes it's the Robots in Disguise version, so that series gets a little bit more representation, we've only had Scourge so far. Realistically though, I'm not expecting it to be anything other than G1 Prowl. Remember when we all thought Velocitron Collection Blurr was going to be Armada Blurr?

Realistically though, I'm not expecting it to be anything other than G1 Prowl. Remember when we all thought Velocitron Collection Blurr was going to be Armada Blurr?

Maybe it’s IDW Prowl and he comes with a table to angrily flip over?

This Prowl listing is an intriguing mystery. It doesn't have a package refresh designation, so it's probably not a straight re-release of ER Prowl. Animated was teased at SDCC, so an Animated Prowl could be coming. But it doesn't have any universe listed before it's name, which seems to be the convention for Legacy characters who share their names with G1 counterparts (like the listings for Armada Megatron and Starscream, for example). IMO, the most likely options are:

1. ER Prowl, but with a new head and deco changes like opaque plastic (enough changes to not be considered a package refresh).

2. IDW Prowl. If Velocitron Blurr is anything to go by, IDW figures won't necessarily get a universe listed before their name. It was teased that more IDW is coming too, and considering how big a player Prowl was in that continuity, it would make some sense for him to be one of the first made. This would most interest me.

3. Animated Prowl. Animated was confirmed to be coming, and Prowl could make sense as the first G1 in Animated cosplay Animated release. But Animated isn't mentioned in the listing, so without any other info, I'd say this is less likely than the first two.

4. RID Prowl. I could see the Autobot brothers being the first mainline venture into RID, but I have the same doubts about this possibility as Animated Prowl.

5. BW, Armada and Energon Prowls. Too obscure to likely be made before the ones above.

Here's an extreme long shot, but what if it's IDW prowl...but has a hidden third mode as Devestators head?
