There are a lot of reasons people don't like them--the $50 cost for Premium, they ship later than other retailers, and they have less stock and sell out sooner--but I love Pulse. I've been able to order every figure I've wanted, they've never cancelled an order, and I've never received an incorrect or damaged toy. I don't need to be the first kid on the block to get something, I just want to order it and forget about it until it shows up at my door. Pulse is perfect that way.

I'll gladly pay $50 to never step foot in a Wal-Mart again; the last two times I've stepped inside there I've suffered literal psychic damage. And because they routinely cancel preorders, you'll have to go in at some point. Target has gotten a lot better with preorders and in-store stock, but I still prefer not having to deal with them. The Spider-Man Noir exclusive isn't available on Pulse and didn't go up at Target.com at the scheduled time, and sold out in minutes, so that's an item that I still need to work to pick up. I hate that feeling.

That's why I lead off with all the caveats. They don't work for a certain type of collector, but they're perfect for me. I WFH and open up the site at 12:59 whenever there's a pre-order drop, and I've never had a problem. I can't say the same for any other site. If I cared enough to comparison shop, I'm sure I could save money even just using Amazon and BBTS occasionally, but I'd prefer to skip the hassle. And if I miss something or change my mind, BBTS is always an option, that's how got the G2 seekers long after they'd sold out on Pulse.

That's okay. I can do the same.

I do think it comes down to Premium membership that people I speak with in other venues (as of even yesterday) think 'it's not worth the money for them.' It works like gangbusters for me - If I find the item in store first, it's easy to cancel (or not cancel like I did with Dragstrip).

You get first dibs on new product for guaranteed preorder, and I've yet to get anything defective from them. I can't say that about Amazon or Target.

Don't forget that last year they rereleased MPM-7 VW Bumblebee (for Buzzworthy) along with MPM-12 Optimus Prime, both of which sold very quickly (I never even saw Prime in stores). They may not be totally sour on MPMs so it's hard to compare Blackout to Prime and Bumblebee when it comes to popularity.

The price hikes are definitely starting to sting. A whole wave of four Deluxe Class figures is now $100 US. The same amount of money just over a year ago would get you FIVE such figures. Ouch! I was pleasantly surprised yesterday when I bought Studio Series Wheeljack and Ratchet at Target and they rang up at $19.99 a piece!

As for Hasbro Pulse, the price for premium is worth it to me. I can make that back and more with free shipping, but I also get the benefit of “first dibs” on any partner exclusive releases, which can be hard or impossible to find in some cases in the wild, especially with Walmart and Walgreens. I’ve never had Pulse cancel a preorder on me either, even if the fulfillment time is delayed. I’m looking at you, Walmart and Target! It’s very satisfying to get a push notification or email from Pulse about a new preorder, open the app, and place my order in a matter of a minute or two. Compare this to the absolute nightmare that was ordering MOTU Classics from MattyCollector.com years ago. Hasbro has this figured out.

You're lucky you get to see that type of product at all in a supermarket of all places  there's toy shops here in the UK where I can buy TR and PotP products on the shelves, did these aren't specialist toy shops I'm talking about here. They're stock left over from when the store first opened 6 years ago

In Hand Images of Legacy Jihaxus

While some people have been very lukewarm on Legacy so far, there is excitement brewing for what's coming next. Both Jihaxus and Tarantulas are figures long time coming and we are getting a better look at both of them now. We have lots of new shots of Jihaxus from a Prime vs Prime review, you can see all of those below. Those longing for a traditional voyager class height will be pleased. from the same source, we also have a nice shot of the Beast Wars Predacons with tarantulas charging into battle in beast mode.

Jhiaxus looks nice. I'm hoping that with Legacy, even if they use the Combiner Wars molds, that we finally get G2 Defensor.

Haven't been this hype for a mainline figure in a looooong time. It really looks like someone over in Rhode Island said, "We have made the G2 comic fans wait and suffer long enough. Let's go the extra mile and make this awesome."

Perhaps Selects if ever. I don't hope for anything on my Combiner wish list in my signature, but am completely thrilled if it ever does happen.

I see there is an image of legacy tarantulas. I hope Prime Vs. Prime or someone gets a hold of that. But from the official 360 degree turnaround it looks perfect. I saw on TFiki that apparently it looks more like a wolf spider than a tarantulas, but I wouldn't know. :HEADHURTS:

Great that your happy, this figure looks perfect. The only problem seems that there is a lot of clear plastic. Glad too see old characters get some faithfully updated figures, Skids looks good too.

My issue is the way the arms look in robot mode, they look more like kibble than part of the alt mode.

So far, if you conveniently ignore the occasional crushed boxes, Amazon.ca is flawless in fulfilling my orders. I think the only times they screwed-up were for the ER special sets. And if I remember that's because some containers were dumped into the sea because God Neptune or some shizz.

No, they got their orders in and then dumped them to a reselling distributor. That's how I eventually got my copy. Ever since then, no more anazon preorders from me.

Must have been a one time thing and just about those specific sets.
As for why they did that, corporations make strange decisions all the time. Like when Target put their MPM-Starscream on deep clearance barely 3 weeks after receiving them.

Don't care what their reason might be, first bitten and twice shy. Ain't preordering from them again.

Plus they also screwed up orders more recently with the Kingdom exclusive Golden Disk terrorsaur in Canada. But I had learnt my lesson, I ordered mine from Amazon.com and got it. Those who ordered from Amazon.ca got screwed, again.

I got my Terrosaur from .com

I'm a bit nervous for the rest but I'll see.

Nope. Right there with ya.... no attachment to the character, so, skipping him entirely.

I'll wait for the inevitable retool... though I wonder who they can use the mold for that has not already been done recently.

In Hand Images of Transformers Deluxe Legacy Tarantulas

Postby william-james88 » Thu May 19, 2022 6:06 pm

Motto: "'till All Are One"
Probably the most anticipated deluxe figure of Legacy's second wave is Tarantulas since after that we are just one Predacon away from having the entire season 1 cast of Beast Wars characters. We now have plenty of images of this toy in both modes thanks to a review from Prime vs Prime. He comes with two accessories, one being the circular saw weapon that came with his Transmetal toy. This toy is up for preorder almost everywhere and will be coming out in the summer.
