Burn wrote:LE0KING wrote:Why must everything look exactly the same as it did 30 years ago?
It doesn't, and from what I've read, no one is asking for that. I personally am disappointed that it looks so much like his G1 self.
Yeah, it's nice getting G1-esque figures with modern engineering (growing with them and playing with semi-bricks then people would understand, not necessarily sympathise) but most of us "G1-ers" actually DO like different takes on things.
My concern is that Trypticon will follow in the footsteps of Fortress Maximus and end up just a up-scaled version of his G1 self with no major significant changes to the point that those of us who have a G1 Trypticon may as well overlook this guy.
HERE HERE! Even things that aren't G1 at all!Burn wrote: most of us "G1-ers" actually DO like different takes on things.
My fear as well.Burn wrote:My concern ..... those of us who have a G1 Trypticon may as well overlook this guy.
Hasbro has never tried to satisfy anyone but their own board of directors. I think the current state of things is more due to a design team that is way into G1.LE0KING wrote: this guy is so G1 because the fans are always complaining that things aren't G1 enough. Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.
To be fair, Titan class Metroplex was a bit more of an updated design than this "G1 with knees" design (as it's called) that Titan class Trypticon has.Gauntlet101010 wrote:I'm glad it's G1 in style. Metroplex was and I want Trypticon to match him.

Because putting a helicopter into a squad of jets IS STUPID!
"Aerialbots, combine to form Superion!"
"Yeah, do you mind waiting Prime? Just waiting for Alpha Bravo to turn up and he's on leg day today."

Also, Trypticon is not a T-Rex. Stop calling him that.
What is he then?
I think he's implying that tryp is a cheap godzilla knock-off - despite the fact that he is clearly a t-rex in the exact same style as grimlock

Gah! My bad! I didn't notice the smaller fingers. Wait...Why do the skeletons have three fingers?

The artist goofed? What we actually see are scientifically deduced interpretations, as actual fossils are fragmented most of the time, with missing and incomplete pieces throughout.
Cobotron wrote:Full tilt is the little purple car, correct? You can see him stuck to the chest of Trypticon in that picture. Almost looks like he could be Deluxe size.
Burn wrote:Because when you add articulation, it improves.
When you just take the old design, and simply change it up a bit without really improving things, then yeah, it's lazy.
Look at Fortress Maximus, what exactly makes the modern version any better than the original version?
Deadput wrote:So is Trypticon here considered to be a part of Titans Returns or is he going to be a Power of the Prime's figure?
If he is Titans I could imagine they don't give Trypticon a Headmaster part but instead give it to Full Tilt.
