Funny you should mention that. I dont collect any of the toys for RiD (my son has 2 deployers and some mini-cons but...) I heard about some SNAFU with getting Paralon (TRU exclusive) out before Scorponok. I actually just started seeing Scorpnok at 2 local Wal-Marts. --Just wondering if Scorponok, or any of the RiD figures have been declared rare, or low production run?
I don't really know. Every minicon from wave 3 and 4 along with Crazybolt are impossible to find. And then Starscream, Paralon and the white Power surge prime come out of nowhere with no warning.
It's all a confused mess. And then the US still doesn't have the air dates for the new episodes even ready yet

Lord knows many of us (hint hint: D-max) have been searching for them and images of them in stores for ages.

I know, but the way the "Decepticon Island" two-parter ended was unambiguously like how a season finale would end. It is suspected that that two-parter was originally meant to be the season 2 finale, and that Hasbro wanted something airing on CN in this Fall season to promote the current toys of the line while CN might've wanting the proper Season 3 to wait and start in 2017, making these six extra episodes feel like a mini-series made in the meantime to tide us over until the proper third season comes. After all, the "Optimus goes to investigate the corrupt Cybertron" plot that was alluded to be the next thing to come after the "Decepticon Island" two-parter is very much ignored and interrupted in these six new episodes with Optimus being called right back to Earth so shortly after he left for Cybertron the two-parter. It's very possible that once these six episode wrap up, the status quo of the show will revert back to how it was as of the conclusion of the "Decepticon Island" two-parter to get season 3 off to a start in a way that will make it feel like one could theoretically skip these six episodes entirely. After all, "19-episode seasons" are an abnormality that don't usually happen so casually. It really feels like these six eps were made as an afterthought just to fill a gap.william-james88 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:So what we're watching now that's airing in Canada is instead more like a "season 2.5" mini-series.
Just the second half of season 2. Any different numbering was used only internally, from the marketting standpoint, we are currently watching the rest of season 2 which is followed by season 3.

Only four have aired so far. We've been posting links to watch them in this very thread for the past four weeks.william-james88 wrote:Anyplace we can watch these 6 episodes online?

I got really excited upon reading that. It will be fun to see what kind of combiner team we end up with. A brand new one? Or a new take on an old one? And will it get a frikkin' toy???

o.supreme wrote:I've heard some speculate these 6 episode are the "TV Movie" that was mentioned earlier this year. I have 2 issues with this. 1 6 episodes is too long for a "movie". Thus some are arguing it has now been changed to a "TV Event" not a movie, which would disappoint me somewhat. If that is the case, still I know back in 2004, CN used to run TF Energon in huge chunks particularly on Friday late afternoons or Saturday early afternoons (4 episodes here, 6 episodes there etc... which was a clear sign CN did not give a (expletive here) about Energon. I hope this is not the case, and we are treated to a full and complete season 2, AND a telefilm in the vein of Predacons Rising (either between s2 & s3 or after season 3)

Kurona wrote:And they most certainly would not advertise a Platinum boxset within RiD. Those and Masterpiece are the only lines Hasbro aren't expecting kids to pick up.
