You don't have any fixes for the loose elbows on CW/UW Devastator's combined mode?

Also, thinking of reading some Transformers lore/fiction... Looks like IDW's series are, unfortunately, not available at this time any recommendations?

Thanks again for all the advice!

I can't help with the comics. I have zero interests despite loving the designs.

As for fixing any loose joints, try thayghthgtheiyng up the screws or use some Kiki:

So.. Apparently, I'm going to get a Black Zarak because that price is too good ($71):

https://www.gamestop.com/collectibles/f ... 27317.html

Shame I can't find a Black Roritchi at a decent price...

As fate would have it Bigbadtoystore has/d the DK-33 upgrade kit in stock, so that got ordered too.

Now to figure out where to put him... :-)

Oh, nice score! You'll only need to find that Select Rorichi to complete the set!

And dude.... For the price you paid that Black Zarack, meaning LESS THAN A COMMANDER, you can pay a bit extra to import a Roritchi from Canada. Used for the price of a normal deluxe plus shipping. This may be your LAST shot at a reasonably priced Roritchi.

Buy it here:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/266368561033?h ... R8S51-vOYg

Warning. It's the only one.

Is Black Roritchi really worth [necessary?] picking up at that price point? I did manage to pick up DK -33 from Bigbadtoystore.

All the freaking way. To have the COMPLETE Black Zarak, you need it. And that price point is your last chance at "reasonable". Hell, on ebay I got only 3 results! One was incomplete, the other was almost double the price from the USA.

So, yeah. Buy it now. You won't regret it. Roritchi plus the DNA Design upgrade will be the (almost) perfect throwback for the G1 original. Without the shattering gold plastics.

Image

The only thing left after that would be the city mode gray bits. I'm using Centurion from the Centurion set to fill that role. You're free to use any other Weaponiser to do it, or some random accessories you may have.

Also, for the better look, you can skip using the extended legs parts. He look better with is stocky legs IMO, plus those parts are difficult to install. I did it, didn't liked the look, then reverted him back. But by doing so, I damaged some inner ratchet so I had to improvise a repair. My repair was not perfect, but it worked. So avoid the hassle by skipping on the bot legs extenders.

The rest of the kit is essential. The extra guns, the better scorpion legs, and all the other bits are a must.

Shame I can't seem to find the centurion for a price that isn't crazy...

Is that in US$? If it is, it's still a bit pricey, but still a few bucks lower than importing from Canada. Plus, yours is new. So, good score!

As for the Centurion Drone the price is...
Look at eBay
WOOOOOOOFFFFF FUGGEDDABOUDDIT. #-o

Select Cromar could do the job. Just spray-paint his red parts in gray (or dont) and cover his :BOT: by a :CON: Reprolabel and voilà!

US dollars, yes, but it includes shipping. Thanks for the info on Black Zarak's leg upgrade btw. I've only done a bit of modding, mostly successfully. The DNA kit for Sludge's leg joints, for example. I was successful in fixing Devastator's combined mode elbows too: https://youtu.be/B9DkfMFXuQc?si=AAICczdtVYQZaR4C

I'm looking forward your full display!

BTW, to make the city bits for your BZ, siege Ironworks could work wonder too. Just separate his parts, tape all the 5mm ports and pegs, then spray paint everything in dark silver. A normal Krylon can would do the job.

Maybe that's what I will do for mine. :-?

So, I just received my Earthrise Sky Lynx, and he's such a great feeling and solid figure! Unfortunately, his right bird leg will not fold flush, so I cannot combine the two parts. Are you aware of any issues like this? Thanks in advance!

No clue on that end.

Maybe post some pictures in the Earthrise thread and ask over there?

------

BTW, it's ironic that the widely available Earthrise Ironwork is now only available on eBay.
I already have one and I don't want to mess with it. So I ordered another one, used but complete, off eBay for around 40$can shipped. That's around 5$ more than the original retail price so that's ain't too bad.

I will customize it so he'll be the city bits for my Black Zarak. Once I'm done, Centurion will go elsewhere. Once my Steelwork is done, I'll share pictures.

He and his repaint are damn solid. I'll recommend them both.

But just for kicks, try out the old deluxe Generations RTS Wreckgar or his fellow Junkions.

Got my T30 Generations Arcee. Nice figure, but the paint job is pretty messed up and Bigbadtoystore's policy doesn't cover paint flaws. Debating getting 86 Arcee or trying to find a Takara Legends... for... double the price. Thoughts?

Got 86 Perceptor too. You were right! Very solid figure!

SS86 Arcee should still be easy to get. With that one, the Takara Legends is irrelevant.

Also, why not getting a SS Bee Movie Arcee and try to swap her head with your T30 Arcee?

The key is to verify if their head are the same size for transformation. Then, even if the ball joints are not the same, that can always be arranged with enough craftiness.

I transformed that guy and his repaints tons of times with no issues. Then I did it to pack them away a few years ago and the handlebars finally broke the hinge. :-( Nothing a few dabs of glue couldn't fix, though. Can't even tell there was an issue. Just cut off the nub with a box cutter after and did that with the unbroken ones too for good measure.

Sooner or later I have to set up that Junkion display again now that I have some new ones.

So far ordered:

86 Brawn [still waiting]
86 Perceptor
Earthrise Sky Lynx
Generations T30 Arcee
SS Bee Arcee
Selects Black Zarak
Selects Black Roritchi
[Got about background info on the above two?]

Any other recommendations? I wouldn't mind a good Warpath... I have DK-33 preordered as well.

TF Wiki is your friend.

As for a good Warpath, IMO the Kingdom is crap while the old Generations H tank is great.

I picked up SS ROTB 100 Bee simply because he was super discounted and actually had the revised paint apps. He's not bad, but not super either.

So far, there is only 2 deluxe Warpath.
The Kingdom, and the previous Generations. The old one being the superior one in every aspects.
