Sorry, Rodimus. I didn't mean to vent. I'm not sure what mistakes you're referring to, as like I said, if it was posted in a video on YouTube or compiled in a list online, we went in and personally inserted the correct shots, but I believe that you're seeing what you're seeing. If you're talking about the remastering job Rhino did, I get that.

I'll explain...

When Sony remastered the film a couple years ago, they had a print from which to start. They could physically clean those frames of celluloid and digitally restore and remaster the print. Rhino did the same thing with their releases a few years back. However, as everyone discovered, the film elements they had were wrong. Unfortunately, correct film elements DO NOT exist. This has been confirmed at Magno, where Hasbro stores the film and at Hasbro itself. The show was transferred to film and then correct animation, like with our copies, was inserted prior to broadcast. But there are not films of those episodes, like there are with the feature film, sadly. Therefore, we can't restore the set the way a lot of people want.

BUT... we were able to correct hundreds of shots containing incomplete animation and visual errors, such as the aforementioned Dinobots removing the pile of rubble, etc. And for my money, that's worth getting this version of the set. Because Rhino's doesn't have the Dinobots removing the rubble. They have them standing in front the rubble, mouths agape, creating a dynamic sound effect and the rubble staying right where it was before. I don't understand how you'd prefer that DVD to this one.

But maybe I'm biased.

As for the shows you mentioned, there are a number we can look into. Feel free to also drop by our site, shoutfactory.com, and join the forums there. I take suggestions and interact with folks all the time.

Thanks for everything, guys. Enjoy the set!

But can you please do the whole fandom a favor; talk to who ever it takes to get the Japan exclusive series like Headmasters, Super-God Masterforce, and Victory with the english dubs on all of the episodes. that would be sooo awesome, right guys?
Forget English dubs, we're more likely to get English subs. Shout! Factory is a distribution company, not a dubbing company. If they were to give us any English dubs of those series, they would be those awful Malaysian dubs.

Well, just in case Brian comes back...

When are you planning on releasing Season 3 (both parts) by itself, instead of part of the Matrix set?

Rodimus2006 --insert foot in mouth :P Even if you were to compare the Rhino sets with Shout's you should at least wait till all the seasons are released before passing judgment. That being said, I am glad you mentioned getting the sets if you do not have the Rhinos already. I'm going to get the matrix set.

Brian Ward - thank you for making these, I know a lot of painstaking effort went into it. Just as Mediablasters/Animeworks did it up for the Voltron collectors sets after a very long wait, you guys have come through. Can't wait till it's in-hand & can't wait to see it!!

Power Rangers has had a few DVDs made but like Ultimate sets like fans favorite episodes

Megas XLR was shown on Adult Swim it was never finished and was canceled never seen a DVD release

Transformers RiD last time I checked was owned bye Disney/Jetix it hasnt been seen in North America sice it last aired back on Fox Kids either in 1999 or early 2000's I really dont remember cause I havent seen it since then. The show has been seen in the UK as they have had 2 or 3 DVD sets made already but for some odd reasons or just legal limbo we have yet to see this series back here in North America.

The Jackie Chan Adventures was last seen on Jetix it has seen individual dvd releases over the years but never any season sets or complete season sets. Right now I dont know cause it hasnt been on Jetix or Disney in quiet sometime.

Sailor Moon has seen individual releases also it was last owned bye Funimation and was also 1st seen on Toonami back when it 1st came on in the early 90's when Toonami made its debut.

Reboot was also last seen on CN on toonami it has just 2 DVD's single release one was called "MY 2 BOB'S".
the show hasnt been seen since then.

I would get these Generation 1 sets but I really dont need them since I have my rhino sets and they are still in good condition.

However if I ever found the "Matrix of Leadership" Edition I will get that one.

However I dont have my GI Joe sets anymore so I will bye the Shout Factory versions of those.

Also has GI Joe came out yet I know it was suppose to be out the same time around transformers was released.

Or will GI Joe be released sometime this winter.

Do you guys think they will go and make the Transformers - Rebirth special I will get that cause my copy is playing bad.

Also I want someone to pick up "Sonic the Hedegehog - The Movie". If anyone remembers that I still have my copy but it is starting to get old and skips in some places.

Also GI Joe the Animated movie needs to get a remake like they did for the 1986 movie of Transformers.

If something ever happens to my Rhino sets like it they start to skip or freeze up or get stractched up more then I will replace them with the Shout Factory Sets.

Also I would love to see Sailor Moon sets again I loved the Queen Berail Saga I think that was Season 1.

I have that movie on DVD. It has both the English language and the Japanese language audio tracks and the English subtitles are of the Japanese dialogue. I'd say your best bet for this is to buy the the DVD online, as I did.

I said I already have Sonic the Hedgehog, what I was trying to say is I wished that they would re-release once again on DVD as both in DVD format and in Blue-Ray.

I was saying I would like a new copy cause mine is aging and skips in certain parts.

Since Shout Factory seems to be in the process of re-releasing older cartoon series I hope they release some that hasnt been on dvd yet.

Hi, I got my copy of Season 1 on Tuesday and watched it the next day. it brought back memories of when I watched it as a kid. Only thing that bugged me was how for the last 4 episodes, the sound effects (guns, walking, flying, changing etc.) was barely audible. I'm guessing these are the fixes to the audio that was mentioned before

Otherwise, I'm gonna enjoy this set and look forward to the next seasons as they are released. Down the road, I might even get the Matrix of Leadership edition...since it so far, sounds great

The error I am refering to was just a small one it was in the 3 part season opening were they are fixing to go in the mine shaft and bury the decipticons forever.

It is were the Autobots are standing all in a group scoping out the situation you will notice that Prowl has his body but it shows Bumble Bee's Head on top of him.

I mean it is just a minor glitch but I really enjoyed the sets I just dont need them at the moment as I have other things to do for the rest of the year.

But if I ever wanna see these sets I can just rent them off of my Netflix rentals.

They really did a top notch job on the audio department but I wished the disk had subtitles in it I have always wanted to see what they say.

Sometimes on my shows or movies I like to watch the close captioning to see if they do a good job on it or not.

I was wondering if these sets were going to be broke into parts like how rhino broke up thiers.

Season 1
Season 2 prt. 1
Season 2 prt. 2
Season 3
The 1986 Animated Movie
The 3 Part Rebirth Special

Season 3 wasnt broken into parts but season 2 was.

I may go back and rent this again from my Netflix rentals but I am waiting on other rentals like 12 Rounds, Street Fighter-Legend of Chun Li and Dragon Ball - Evolution.

I also have a ton of games to pay of this year cause of the busy holiday releases also I plan on getting me a Nintendo DS and a PSP also.

Whenever I get the chance I will get these sets if they are still available.

season 3 was broken into 2 parts, with Rebirth tacked onto the end of the second part. Unless we're thinking of different releases...

Yes, as they do have the Rhino logo at the bottom of the package.

Yeah, I noticed after I posted.

I just got the new DVD set today, and so far I am impressed with it. Not the episodes, those I knew of, but the packaging and the extras. Very well done. Bring on Season 3. In probably 2 years.

If Shout Factory was working on these in '08 or earlier, why weren't the sets announced till this year?? I would've loved to have known sooner.

i surely hope not because thats part of its charm and the fun in watching the show. even back when it was new, me and my friends always loved to laugh at those mistakes.

I was hoping for some color corrections. I was disappointed. Also on the back of the second case they mention additional scenes or something that weren't in the Rhino versions. I have yet to see these. The only additions I've seen are the commercial breaks.
