If you notice with all the titaniums in this line that have trailers (rid prime, magnus, rodimus) they're all part of the figure. Like the legs make up rodimus's trailer. It seems like they're redoing a lot of figures that originally had trailers that came apart and added to the figure in some way, and making the trailers part of the robot with no removing of parts involved. So I present them a challenge, make a prime with the trailer that can't come apart from the cab and actually makes up part of the robot mode. It's a huge challenge because it's probably impossible, but they seem to like redoing all these trailer formers :p
Um, just a nitpick. RID Prime did have two parts that came apart, but I do not think he had a removable trailer, so to speak. I suppose I can go into storage tonight and check.
But the point is indeed well taken. In the titanium line they seem to be making an effort to deal with the trailer concept as a whole of the figure. Did that make sense?
I guess I'll just say that I agree.
I mentioned in a thread before the big delete that I also had an issue with UM's missle pods being on the "top" of his arms rather than on the sides. I think there were better compromises available. One would be to rotate the pod about the upper arm so the pod is on top of the car platform in car mode. The other, one that I am planning on buying a second UM to try myself, involves using small circular magnets to attach the pods in the correct positions on both the truck mode as well as robot mode. I like this idea and hope I have the time to try it out.
