The battle takes place in the Naruto Universe.

Mumm-Ra's black pyramid appears in a secluded part of the Sand Country. He has access to all his powers and the Ancient Spirits of Evil are also there.


No reflection weakness for Mumm-Ra.

Mumm-Ra is regularly thwarted by a bunch of cats. The entire cast of Naruto, who are competent warriors by age 12, several of whom are containers for nearly god-like beings. They'd have Mumm-Ra either dead or imprisoned in something for an eternity in a matter of minutes.

having watched a lot of thunder cats, I can see Mumm-ra from the first season would get stomped in a straight up fight. That whole 'see your own reflection' trick didn't last very long. But Mumm-ra very rarely engaged the cats in a direct fight, he normally hired someone to attack them, tried to get the cats to destroy themselves, or had the mutants do it.

Mumm-ra had a lot of power behind him, and was shown to have all sorts of powers. flight by self-levitation, necromancy, transmogrification, temporal manipulation, teleportation, telekinesis, mind control, astral projection, scrying and energy blasts. (going by wikipedia's listing of his powers there.)

I can't see him ever actually just rising up out of the sand, stomping out of his pyramid like in the movie and taking down any hidden village. Mumm-ra would do what he's best known for. Finding people with the blackest heart, and recruiting them to his side by promising power or threats.

I'm not going to say him being immortal really counts, since the ninjas have defeated immortal enemies before by cutting them up and burying them. The big 'if's in this fight is if the ninjas can make seals powerful enough to challenge Mumm-ra's level of magic, and if when a big fight started if his super form could last long enough for a complete razing of a village.

A village, maybe, but the whole universe? Not damned likely.

All that proves is Mumm-Ra Lives. Lets see the ninja's seal him away, and even more, lets see him break out of one of their seals. It wont happen. Go and actually WATCH Naruto.....

Its possible he could over power the seal, or even outlive it. but of course this won't be one seal. Really, part of this is that its one very powerful mummy. Its like putting Green Lantern vs all of Marvel or Voltron up against all of the TF universes. Yeah he'd put up a good fight but its not possible for him to win. Mumm-ra's only hope would be to outlive everyone... and that's hardly an exciting way to win.

Seriously! Not only are they warriors by that young age, or even younger, but they have the will to KILL!
And you know what else? Why don't you show me evidence that the Naruto universe doesn't have someone strong enough to throw the planet into the sun? I say, not only would mum-ra be defeated by the whole cast, he would be defeated by one lower class ninja, probably one from the sand village, seeing that were mumm-ra would probably pop up first. my guess is and Konohamaru his friends could probably do it all on their own, when they are little kids too, not trained alittle like in later episodes.

It's really not. Okay, I get that the Sword of Omens is powerful, but powerful enough that it can stop a being who is, if SSJVegeta is to be believed, powerful enough to punt a planet into the sun? The powers of one or both of them are being massively exaggerated.

Well, yeah, I mean, when you cross two continueties of two seperate series, complications like this often arise, they were never ment to cross. In the thundercats universe, the sword is powerful enough to destroy mumm-ra, a planet heaving...mummy?
In naruto universe, a small child is more powerful than mumm-ra, and Im guessing the sword as well. Put it up against Zabuza's blade, and we'll see who gets the last laugh.

Point is this. Mumm-ra doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell against ANY Naruto Character! Let the argument die....

Your just mudslinging at this point. WERES YOUR PROOF that the sword of Omens can destroy an entire Planet? Besides, this isn't about the damn sword! It's about Mumm-ra, who would ultimately lose! The ninjas are stronger than the sword by FAR. The sword is stronger than Mumm-Ra by little, so as it goes:

Mumm-Ra-
Dinky little kitty sword of magic scratches-

But the sword has NOTHING to do with this, so lets keep on track here! The Ninjas win!

My problem isn't with the sword, it's with what you're trying to establish as Mumm-Ra's power level. I kind of thought that was obvious. Guess it wasn't.

It's very obvious, actually. He states that Mumm-ra has the power to hurl an entire planet into the sun, yet he's constantly beaten by a pack of cat-men, yet thinks Mumm-ra's stronger than the naruto Universe, at least, that's what I got out of all this. The sword is a Sword, probably able to destroy mumm-ra, but not much else, kinda like the master sword, it works on evil ONLY. Try swingin it at the townsfolk...

Okay, let me break this down for you since you're very, very special.

Mumm-Ra is established at this certain power level, more than enough to crush Naruto Universe.

He gets beaten by cat people with someone wielding a magic sword, ergo said magic sword is simply that powerful, not really indicative of Mumm-Ra's weakness.

Are you getting this yet, or am I asking too much from someone who claimed that Naruto ninjas are competent?

Yep. I'm not even going to dignify what he said with a response outside of this. He clearly hasn't even seen Naruto before.

Here's the point I think most of you are missing.

If this was just the sand village, or any ONE VILLAGE I'd be agreeing with most of you that Mumm-ra would be the clear winner. but this is ALL of the ninjas from that show/manga united under one banner, and that show had some seriously overpowered ninjas. factoring in every character at their most powerful... AND working as one combined unit... kinda hard to argue against the hyper-powered anime characters. Its like going against all of the DBZ universe. =/

One thing is true: if Mumm-ra had been empowered like in the old movie, where they spirits made him even more powerful... it was only for a day and he failed to destroy the cats. he destroyed their home, but not them.

That's kinda the problem with X universe vs. one dude battles. either that one dude walks through everyone or there's simply no way he can win.

Mumm-Ra's Sword of Plun-Darr HAS destroyed planets. And the Sword of Omens has been shown to be equal in power with it.

In the ep Last Day when Mumm-Ra was powered up to his form of Mumm-Ra The All Powerful his mere presence on Third Earth was shaking the planet apart.

The spirits of evil never gave him the juice to do it. They also made it clear to him that he was completely boned if he failed them.

At any rate, his latest transformation with the four warstones made him badass incarnate.
I can see him take down most of the tailed beasts in this form. Though I suppose that they could still overpower him if they all banded together.

Now the all powerfull form is a different beast altogether. Mumm Ra gets beefed up and is indestructable for a one day, after that the spirits send him to the cornfield
During the 24 hours he can rip through anything he comes across, Lion-O failed to defeat him in this form. He only managed to fend him off in the final minutes to Mumm Ra's deadline.
