First off, if you're going to give it a number, it'd be MK9.

Second, they said the fourth character would be a surprise and damn they didn't make an understatement. I have to get around to buying this game at some point or another, then I have to start making references to the later movies. (Oh PLEASE give him a skin to use the Power Glove!)

Let's see how many there actually are, not counting the handheld ports:

Mortal Kombat

Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3
Mortal Kombat Trilogy

Mortal Kombat 4
Mortal Kombat Gold

Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance
Mortal Kombat: Deception

Mortal Kombat: Armageddon

And the spin-off Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, which I don't count either.

I've heard complaints about them using the newer version of the character and not the classic. What's everyone's view on that?
